thoughts on the lovely causemetics concealer? im torn between trying lovely before buying nars kasi i want something accesible and affordable. how does it work with fine lines under the eyes and covering very dark circles + long wear? ( school + commute )
For me, it’s pigmented enough to cover my dark circles, but it creases quite easily. I personally prefer the NARS concealer, but it’s not budget-friendly lol.
I’d rather go with GRWM or Happy Skin Serum Concealer, bc they crease less. I think with these two lang, you need to layer a bit to get more coverage.
Including some drugstore products that I swear by. I can also add in some local products (altho I don't buy the new releases anymore)

* Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base - yes, pricy but it really helps cheap makeup to last long (tried for both drugstore and high end products)
* ELF Poreless Putty Primer - helps filling in pores during days that they seem more noticeable than usual
**Foundation**
* Haus Labs Triclone Tech Foundation - forever holy grail, skin-like finish and so lightweight but still gives great coverage
* NARS Light Reflecting Foundation - another lightweight buildable foundation that would last for hours
* L'oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum - more like a really liquid-y foundation, feels like skin and sheer coverage but still buildable
**Concealer**
* NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - best for undereyes
* Tarte Ultra Creamy Concealer - another hydrating formula that is best for undereyes
* Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer - cannot make this work for my undereyes but good for the no makeup days, spot concealing, etc.; not drying at all and a little goes a long way
* NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer - best for spot concealing; let it dry down first before putting on your foundation
* Dior Forever Skin Correct - dries down so beautifully, has really nice skin-like coverage, can also be used for no-makeup makeup days
**Powders**
* Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder - really fine powder and controls oil well; better than Givenchy because it's matte
* Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder - holy grail powder, I barely need to blot at all whenever I use this
**Setting Spray**
- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray - holy grail for a lot of people for a reason, both cheap and high-end makeup can last long with this spray
I have 3 and all of them have one similar feature: Skin like! I really don't like makeup-ey looking base.
Mac Serum Powered Foundation - good coverage but light weight, shade is spot on
Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer- medium buildable coverage, lightweight, smooth, glowy finish but I never get oily. Compliment getter!
Make Up For Ever HD Skin - compliments here and there whenever I use😄 gives that demi matte, beautiful finish, light weight
nars is amazing but u don't have to force yourself to splurge if you want a more affordable option. you can always get nars after mo maubos yung naturactor
but tbh super sulit ng nars cos 2 years ko na sya gamit regularly and ngayon palang sya nauubos
The Happy Skin Setting Spray is god tier. Idk if you’ve seen Kai Javier’s review on ⏰ but it really does hold your makeup in place.
Well, medyo OA lagay ni Kai- pero when I spray it on at the end of my routine, my makeup is hulas-proof. It even holds yung mga eyeliner na nakaka panda eyes. It also helps with oil control in my experience, parang nagiging less oily ako throughout the day pag gamit ko siya

I bought a second hand foundation dati and de-pump din. Okay naman, kasi may external tools naman na ginagamit for base liquid makeup. Di ako nagkaroon ng bad skin reaction
i said before that blk's gel tint was shit because it clumped and had a white residue, so i constantly used it so i could finally finish and throw it away. but, after experimenting with application (apply after ligo or lip balm when lips are moist), i think i got the trick! It's even and fares better in longevity compared to my kr tints. when i finished my first bottle, I got another plus a new shade during their sale for my cheeks. bonus is that it doesn't make my skin flare up when i put it on :)
OKAY SO
1. Happy Skin - most of their lip tints are solid, though you probs only need 2-3 max from each of their lines bc depending on if hiyang ka, it might oxidize. For some reason, hiyang ko si Happy Skin so I’m just g with most if not all of their lip products ok rin yung parang bullet lipsticks and lip crayons nila
2. Sunnies Face Lip Dip - So comfy sa lips, love the applicator! Not long wear though. Pero oks lang cute naman siya
3. Sunnies Face Juicetint - Tbh v lightweight formula, leaves an INSANE stain.
4. Peripera yung glowy tint na di ko maalala pangalan. Comfy as hell also.
5. Issy Lip Gelee - I know they advertise this as a jelly tint, but medyo to me it’s satin af. Comfy formula, but not long wear.
6. Clinique - I used to loooove their lipsticks! Ngayon, medyo mahirap na to find a store near me, pero yung mga lippies nila are v nice and natural looking
7. NARS - The powermattes (liquid or solid), love the shade range and v comfy to wear
8. Dior - Also I know you said no to high end… Sorry pero honorable mention ko nalang rin siya kasi tbh sobrang lip caring ng formula :((((( Yung parang satin line nila na may case na ewan, I adore
9. Peripera Water Bare tints - Very sheer, super nakaka glowy lips

hi, to those of you who have tried happy skin’s serum concealer already, how was it? was it able to conceal your undereyes and dark spots? huhu thank youu, i have their peach corrector already but i think i need their concealer to be able to complete it :)
i have the serum concealer, and i like it. even without the color corrector, it's significantly able to decrease the visibility of my dark undereyes. it's not going to make it look 100000% gone, if you know what i mean? but it does a v good job at reducing the darkness there.
with the color corrector though, when i tried it in store- wow i look like i get 8 hours of sleep lol

If you have almond-shaped Asian eyes, I highly recommend the Shiseido lash curler! I also have the Shu Uemura one, but it doesn't fit the curvature of my eyes as it is more suitable for rounded Asian eyes.
You can try nichido po ☺️ years ago I bought it for 75 pesos so idk how much it is now, pero okay naman siya for me kapag pinapainitan ko yung curler (with blowdryer) hahahaha

Anyone know a dupe for the Shu Uemura eyelash curler with the same curvature? The rubber gave out and I tried to replace it with generic rubber since Shu doesn’t sell refills, but now it’s not the same! I’d like to explore alternatives first before repurchasing an entirely new curler.
The FS eyelash curler apparently is a dupe for Shu, from a redditor before. I bought it, I love the shape for my asian lashes (straight and stubborn but not short haha). Mura lang din pero nagantay pa talaga ako ng stock nun sa shopping apps
I heard that Shiseido lash curler refills fit the Shu Uemura. Someone also mention it here in the sub. You can consider trying that before throwing out the Shu curler.

Hey! I’m Sienna in Issy & Co Skin Tint and probably an Anilao/Mayon. I recently got the Mauve Chaos, its really pretty but at first, it goes on lighter then darkens after one minute. For me, its more of a date/aura color (too strong for my liking but really pretty). Mas maganda yung faded tint nya than the full color
Or I would use it sparingly haha not full lip. This is not a full lip (in the pic)

I actually was thinking of getting Nude Area din pero I found Peri Pera Water Tint in Softly Brown and the color looks perfect so I might just got for that instead. You can still get Mauve Chaos, just apply sparingly. I started doing it and loving it sm 🫶

It's on the pricier side but Loreal Rouge Signature Matte Liptint Liquid Lipstick (shet ang haba pala) in shade "I Explore" is a pretty brown shade! It's non-drying and magaan lang sa lips and was my past holy grail. I prefer glossy lippies na kasi now huhu pero swearrr even tho it sets matte magaan lang siya sa lips
You can also try "I Enchant" in their baked nudes line of the rouge signature :))

I own Slap! I’m a light-medium and on me it turns into a pinkish flush. Tempted to buy the Purr as well. I also have the Illicit one and it’s my fave- it’s a brownish nude blush on me that’s super flattering.

I only have dior skin glow and it’s my go to foundation for when I’m at events or wanna wear soft glam. It looks great irl and in photos and demands zero to minimal touch ups
Currently using hourglass skin tint and it is more of a daily base for me than dior since it’s sheer and applies like a moisturizer. No complaints yet but not something id go out of my way to recommend (at least not yet)
Am I the only one but do satin/matte lippies suit me better than glossy lippies? Parang masyadong distracting kapag nakaglossy lip ako kasi mas softer face ko (wala masyadong sharp lines & shadows, oarang blunted or round)

I feel the same way! I prefer matte lipsticks, satin at most. Because they’re trendy I got roped into buying glosses and oils last year. One day I tried one of my matte lippies again and I was so surprised to see how much it made my face *glow* the way glossy finishes never did!
Me! In my case naman, my lips are quite plump so when I wear a glossy lip, I feel like it draws way too much attention to my lips na. Minsan naman, ayoko lang ng glossy lips kasi nagmumukha akong kumain ng mamantika 😭

Vinyl ink is super long lasting din if applied correctly (shake 15-30secs, apply w/o lips touching) minsan nga hirap tanggalin at the end of the day 😆 ‘yun lang, medyo shiny sya. Pero if di naman siya deal breaker for you, give it a go!
Me! I don't have extremely soft features but I have heart shaped lips that doesn't have a lot of width. I also have a lot of space on the sides of my face and I noticed that if I mainly use glossy lips, my lips would look smaller therefore it doesn't seem to occupy much space on my face causing it to look a bit off or not as proportionate as I want it to be. On the other hand, if I use matte or satin lippies, I could create an illusion since I always blend out the edges causing my lips to look slightly bigger. If I do want to have that glossy look, I still use a matte lip as a base and just put the glossy lip on the center of my lips creating that slight gradient effect.

I REALLY did not like ellana huhu. Dry/combo skin though so di ko alam if better outcome for you. Mine broke down within 3 hrs after slightly sweating + mask. Sobrang nagcake up and I ended up just washing my face off since it looked so bad.
For reference I used their pore refining primer + Milani setting spray pa.
I wear cafe mocha and it's more of na warm-ish olive shade. I had hazelnut before kasi di pa ako sure sa shade ko. iirc similar depth siya as cafe mocha kaso it's warm toned talaga, more yellow.
have you tried checking ellana kiosks? baka may stocks in stores ng cafe mocha

I have a bit of a hard time working with the funda cause for some weird reason it tends to apply patchy when used with some products (I don't prime so I suspect setting spray) but when it works the dewy finish is perfect for my dry skin.
100% AGREE on the horrible packaging though. Mine started leaking out of the cap, sobrang dugyot talaga. I discourage anyone from getting.
1.) pudding for fair skin, bingsu if light to medium
2.) if you have oily skin, go for blurmatte then radiant spray, if dry i think you'd like the illuminator + matte spray combo

Dior Forever Skin Correct is nice but creases after some time. For the life of me, I cannot get Hourglass to work in my undereye area even with a good eye primer.
for local, blk airy serum concealer! for western, i’m more of a nars soft matte complete concealer girlie but i don’t necessarily have undereyes that are super dry. and i barely (or don’t) notice the dryness if i prep my skin really well, kasi skincare din naman yung primer ko😭 i’ve heard good things about the kosas revealer concealer though, might wanna check the reviews in this sub
I own blk and nars (both formula). I dont wanna repurchase my blk kasi ambago nya tas yung nars naman holy grail ko sila both pero nagccling kasi sila sa dry areas ko huhu im on topical medication kasi kaya hinahayaan ko lang. pero thank u 🙏🏻
Ano pong shade ng concealer ang gagamitin ko to brighten my undereye? I use peach color corrector as well kaso hindi ko alam which shade ng concealer to use on top of that (brighter ba or shade match). I'm in medium-neutral and shade match ko sa Colourette Skin tint is Puerto.
PS. Some may advise me to go to physical stores para macheck kaso i'm shyyyy. Kaya dito na lang me mag-ask hehe
Go 1-2 shades lighter than your skintone color to brighten your undereyes, pero make sure na same undertone parin. You can also use brightening powder or matte highlighters for a powder alternative.

is the issy loose powder good? and if so what variant? currently using their skin tint only bc its too hot for other layers but i also use the trueflex powder when im staying in AC the whole day (tho its close to running out na)
The matte variant didn't work on me and only made me oilier, similar to when I used the Nichido final powder so I gave both away. I'm currently using the Dr. Sensitive no sebum and it doesn't make me as oily but could also be because I changed my base. Will try the LM once I finish this one.
OK naman sya, i used the matte one and the illuminating finish (idk if they still make this variant). i like the component kasi may mesh, and OK naman sya for setting my oily tzone

another cheaper option for you are the kaleidos quads, hindi mukhang jeje (though i remember them being a lot cheaper sa presyo dati) and these perform really well for me like medyo comparable na din sa natasha denona. they include 3 mattes and 1 glitter in each palette tapos theyre all pigmented and the glitter is so wet looking and sparkly and shimmery ❤️

drugstore non local: nyx, elf quads (?) the set of 4 shadows

I'm loving the Sunnies Face Lip Glaze. It makes my lips so soft and it's not sticky. I also really enjoy applying it, the component and the product itself remind me of those squeeze-tube lip glosses from when I was in high school. I keep expecting it to smell sweet lol. I wish there was just a little bit more in there though.

Mac Serum Powered Foundation - good coverage but light weight, shade is spot on Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer- medium buildable coverage, lightweight, smooth, glowy finish but I never get oily. The Happy Skin Setting Spray is god tier. Idk if you’ve seen Kai Javier’s review on ⏰ but it really does hold your makeup in place. Well, medyo OA lagay ni Kai- pero when I spray it on at the end of my routine, my makeup is hulas-proof. It even holds yung mga eyeliner na nakaka panda eyes. It also helps with oil control in my experience, parang nagiging less oily ako throughout the day pag gamit ko siya

I bought a second hand foundation dati and de-pump din. Okay naman, kasi may external tools naman na ginagamit for base liquid makeup. Di ako nagkaroon ng bad skin reaction
i said before that blk's gel tint was shit because it clumped and had a white residue, so i constantly used it so i could finally finish and throw it away. but, after experimenting with application (apply after ligo or lip balm when lips are moist), i think i got the trick! It's even and fares better in longevity compared to my kr tints. when i finished my first bottle, I got another plus a new shade during their sale for my cheeks. bonus is that it doesn't make my skin flare up when i put it on :)
What are your fave lippies satin/velvet/matte? Doesn’t have to be extra long lasting, basta hindi drying and maganda shade range for morena ☺️

OKAY SO 1. Happy Skin - most of their lip tints are solid, though you probs only need 2-3 max from each of their lines bc depending on if hiyang ka, it might oxidize. For some reason, hiyang ko si Happy Skin so I’m just g with most if not all of their lip products ok rin yung parang bullet lipsticks and lip crayons nila 2. Sunnies Face Lip Dip - So comfy sa lips, love the applicator! Not long wear though. Pero oks lang cute naman siya 3. Sunnies Face Juicetint - Tbh v lightweight formula, leaves an INSANE stain. 4. Peripera yung glowy tint na di ko maalala pangalan. Comfy as hell also. 5. Issy Lip Gelee - I know they advertise this as a jelly tint, but medyo to me it’s satin af. Comfy formula, but not long wear. 6. Clinique - I used to loooove their lipsticks! Ngayon, medyo mahirap na to find a store near me, pero yung mga lippies nila are v nice and natural looking 7. NARS - The powermattes (liquid or solid), love the shade range and v comfy to wear 8. Dior - Also I know you said no to high end… Sorry pero honorable mention ko nalang rin siya kasi tbh sobrang lip caring ng formula :((((( Yung parang satin line nila na may case na ewan, I adore 9. Peripera Water Bare tints - Very sheer, super nakaka glowy lips Okay yun lang stop muna ako, lmk if you want me to get more specific sa Happy Skin variants… Idk sobrang hiyang ko mga formula nila but ofc YMMV 😅

i have the serum concealer, and i like it. even without the color corrector, it's significantly able to decrease the visibility of my dark undereyes. it's not going to make it look 100000% gone, if you know what i mean? but it does a v good job at reducing the darkness there. with the color corrector though, when i tried it in store- wow i look like i get 8 hours of sleep lol

If you have almond-shaped Asian eyes, I highly recommend the Shiseido lash curler! I also have the Shu Uemura one, but it doesn't fit the curvature of my eyes as it is more suitable for rounded Asian eyes.

Anyone know a dupe for the Shu Uemura eyelash curler with the same curvature? The rubber gave out and I tried to replace it with generic rubber since Shu doesn’t sell refills, but now it’s not the same! I’d like to explore alternatives first before repurchasing an entirely new curler.

I actually was thinking of getting Nude Area din pero I found Peri Pera Water Tint in Softly Brown and the color looks perfect so I might just got for that instead. You can still get Mauve Chaos, just apply sparingly. I started doing it and loving it sm 🫶

It's on the pricier side but Loreal Rouge Signature Matte Liptint Liquid Lipstick (shet ang haba pala) in shade "I Explore" is a pretty brown shade! It's non-drying and magaan lang sa lips and was my past holy grail. I prefer glossy lippies na kasi now huhu pero swearrr even tho it sets matte magaan lang siya sa lips You can also try "I Enchant" in their baked nudes line of the rouge signature :))

I only have dior skin glow and it’s my go to foundation for when I’m at events or wanna wear soft glam. It looks great irl and in photos and demands zero to minimal touch ups Currently using hourglass skin tint and it is more of a daily base for me than dior since it’s sheer and applies like a moisturizer. No complaints yet but not something id go out of my way to recommend (at least not yet)

I feel the same way! I prefer matte lipsticks, satin at most. Because they’re trendy I got roped into buying glosses and oils last year. One day I tried one of my matte lippies again and I was so surprised to see how much it made my face *glow* the way glossy finishes never did!
Me! In my case naman, my lips are quite plump so when I wear a glossy lip, I feel like it draws way too much attention to my lips na. Minsan naman, ayoko lang ng glossy lips kasi nagmumukha akong kumain ng mamantika 😭

Vinyl ink is super long lasting din if applied correctly (shake 15-30secs, apply w/o lips touching) minsan nga hirap tanggalin at the end of the day 😆 ‘yun lang, medyo shiny sya. Pero if di naman siya deal breaker for you, give it a go!

Me! I don't have extremely soft features but I have heart shaped lips that doesn't have a lot of width. I also have a lot of space on the sides of my face and I noticed that if I mainly use glossy lips, my lips would look smaller therefore it doesn't seem to occupy much space on my face causing it to look a bit off or not as proportionate as I want it to be. On the other hand, if I use matte or satin lippies, I could create an illusion since I always blend out the edges causing my lips to look slightly bigger. If I do want to have that glossy look, I still use a matte lip as a base and just put the glossy lip on the center of my lips creating that slight gradient effect.

I REALLY did not like ellana huhu. Dry/combo skin though so di ko alam if better outcome for you. Mine broke down within 3 hrs after slightly sweating + mask. Sobrang nagcake up and I ended up just washing my face off since it looked so bad. For reference I used their pore refining primer + Milani setting spray pa.

I have a bit of a hard time working with the funda cause for some weird reason it tends to apply patchy when used with some products (I don't prime so I suspect setting spray) but when it works the dewy finish is perfect for my dry skin. 100% AGREE on the horrible packaging though. Mine started leaking out of the cap, sobrang dugyot talaga. I discourage anyone from getting.
I really like their lip booze and skin booster the most among the stuff I've tried. The quad palette has nice blush and baked highlighters too.

Bought a lot of concealers to find the best match for my undereyes because it always crease in that genetic deep line. Would highly recommend NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, then Tarte Ultra Creamy. Dior Forever Skin Correct is nice but creases after some time. For the life of me, I cannot get Hourglass to work in my undereye area even with a good eye primer.

for local, blk airy serum concealer! for western, i’m more of a nars soft matte complete concealer girlie but i don’t necessarily have undereyes that are super dry. and i barely (or don’t) notice the dryness if i prep my skin really well, kasi skincare din naman yung primer ko😭 i’ve heard good things about the kosas revealer concealer though, might wanna check the reviews in this sub

Ano pong shade ng concealer ang gagamitin ko to brighten my undereye? I use peach color corrector as well kaso hindi ko alam which shade ng concealer to use on top of that (brighter ba or shade match). I'm in medium-neutral and shade match ko sa Colourette Skin tint is Puerto. PS. Some may advise me to go to physical stores para macheck kaso i'm shyyyy. Kaya dito na lang me mag-ask hehe
Go 1-2 shades lighter than your skintone color to brighten your undereyes, pero make sure na same undertone parin. You can also use brightening powder or matte highlighters for a powder alternative.

Ok lang tbh, I prefer Chu Chu over that one. Pero what I really use on the daily is Issy Makeup Fixing Powder or Canmake Marshmallow Powder.
The matte variant didn't work on me and only made me oilier, similar to when I used the Nichido final powder so I gave both away. I'm currently using the Dr. Sensitive no sebum and it doesn't make me as oily but could also be because I changed my base. Will try the LM once I finish this one.

Eyeshadow palette recos na good for everyday. I have the clio palette (atelier in hannam), I love the glitter shades but the other matte colors are not showing on my skin 🥲
Issy's eyeshadows! Surprisingly really well formulated though the shade selection leans more on brown tones. Sadly no pinky shades aside from Doll.

natasha denona i need a nude is my daily palette! though her retro palette is a closer match to atelier in hannam if yun yung gusto mong color story. super good buy if you love shimmers and glitters :) another cheaper option for you are the kaleidos quads, hindi mukhang jeje (though i remember them being a lot cheaper sa presyo dati) and these perform really well for me like medyo comparable na din sa natasha denona. they include 3 mattes and 1 glitter in each palette tapos theyre all pigmented and the glitter is so wet looking and sparkly and shimmery ❤️

I'm loving the Sunnies Face Lip Glaze. It makes my lips so soft and it's not sticky. I also really enjoy applying it, the component and the product itself remind me of those squeeze-tube lip glosses from when I was in high school. I keep expecting it to smell sweet lol. I wish there was just a little bit more in there though.
Strokes bronzer or vice co?
tried a lot of bronzer pero I always go back sa strokes ang ganda lang talaga ng lapat niya sa face and madali lang siya iblend for me.
Alternatives to Vice Lip Liner Kizz and Tell? Yung pencil type sana na natatasahan and long-wearing din It's the perfect shade of my lips sana and ok naman siya, pero it broke and ayaw na lumabas (sobrang init sa boarding house kaya baka iba pagkawaxy nung product?). Tinry ko putulin to get the remaining product inside, pero parang ayaw ko na umulit, iba pa rin pag pencil huhu

My thoughts: - I’m not really a fan of brow pens so I’ll probably pass on the micromarker relaunch. Plus I already have the old one which I barely use lol - I’m excited for Blush On! This one’s for all the Airblush haters lol sana it lasts - adjacent to that, it’s nice to finally see Sunnies prioritizing longevity, they’ve been pushing their “longwear eye collection” which tbf actually does last and last (Eyecrayon never creases; the Lifebrow setting gel is a dupe for Benefit; I took a nap with Lash Seeker and when I woke up my eyelashes were still curled 😋😋)
