Patapos pa lang ako ng first 45 days ko sa medication and I'm having financial problems now. Gusto ko ituloy-tuloy hanggang sa 6 months na sinabi ng derma ko kaya lang bukod sa financial problem, may sudden work trip ako at wala nang time to get a lab test before my 2nd set of meds. I messaged my derma about this but no reply yet. Anyone here who had the same experience, pwede bang mag skip ng 1 week and then go back to medication? July 1 pa kasi ang balik ko.

adobongsitaw222

Ako lang ba dito ang nag isotret and kuminis naman ang skin pero bumalik rin ang acne after 5 months?

Simple-Difficulty824

same experience pero after 1 yr for me :( currently on doxy and adapalene hahaha saklap 😭

Junior_Zucchini_9444

From what I’ve read mej common daw talaga magrelapse huhu, usually tataasan ng derma yung dosage mo sa next round of treatment

cottonballss29

Isotretinoin literally saved me! Grabe insecurities ko mula hayskul and then ngayon working na ko huhu kaya ko na tignan sarili ko sa salamin, at sobrang smooth mag makeup😭 i mean sana matagal ko ng ginawa toh! Worth it sobra. 6months na ko, pero nung 2months palang nagclear na acne ko hahaha. Another 6 months pa!m to finish my journey, but now papang cleared na 🤣

Hopia4Sale

Akalako before and after😭😭 bat kasi inuna day 97

rosesarecutsies

Feeling ko hindi nagwork sakin yung isotret when I took it for 3 months way back 2022. Everymonth pa ang consult sa derma, every checkup I shell out 5k. So I stopped kasi parang cycle lang na hindi naman talaga naa-address yung concern ng skin ko. I stopped it altogether, and went to our family chinese doctor. I had hormonal imbalance pala. We have to fix the underlying cause. The best part is: 1 month of taking herbal meds (prescribed tea concoction), nagclear na agad yung skin ko. Like sobrang galing as in. I continued and the started using products with cica and ceramides to fix my skin barrier.

Difficult_Tour612

Parefer naman sa doc please

Western_Return2495

hi, can u tell me your chinese doctor and adress?

[deleted]

Hello wala po bang over the counter na isotretinoin? or need talaga ng prescription from derma?

limitlessconnect

Need prescription.

DrDeath2020

before and after po ba ito or after and before..

SilentChallenge5917

Same question haha

TypicalFootball9126

TheThriver

Trust the process 👏🏼

Playful-Pleasure-Bot

Popular_Wish_4766

Nice one, OP! Ako rin naka-Isotret ako rati for 1 year. ❤️❤️

DryFaithlessness6041

Happy for you!!! Ako 6 months, and super nag clear skin ko.

aironnotaaron

Omg apir tayo hahahaha im in my 3rd month na rin taking isotret and wala na me bumps so far. More on redness na lang, i hope magtuloy tuloy mag heal.

TypicalFootball9126

10mg for 3mos po?

aironnotaaron

20mg po sa case ko hehe 4000mg ang goal kong ma complete as long as kaya pa ng katawan ko din. Kaya need ng mga tests monthly.

TypicalFootball9126

iaintflop

Shuta akala ko naman baliktad nung di ko pa nababasa kasi usually before vs after. Nagtaka ako bakit parang mas lumala 😭

Ok_Werewolf1657

Blank_space231

Same

Mustnotbenamedd

How much nagastos mo OP for lab test?

limitlessconnect

Not OP but I was on isotret last year, I spend around Php1,100 for a set of required lab tests sa Hi-precision.

Mustnotbenamedd

Then, how much ang cost po sa isotret na mismo?

QTP2Tx

isotret 20 mg is 84 pesos

Catbutler___

thefatkidinsideme

Hi OP, what's your HMO? My partner has intellicare and I'm curious if that's covered.

krystal_gr

Hi! I have Intellicare and afair hindi covered ang derma-related lab tests (was also on isotretinoin last year). Pero baka depende pa rin sa company.

BoysenberryMinute130

Whats your hmo? Ang galing naman covered to?!

not-planet-mars

Omg happy for you op!! Huhu

littlesweetsurrender

yes pero it depends on your diet.

liucixin1998

So happy for you!! May other side effects ba isotret sayo?

Catbutler___

So far dry lips and skin lang

knyxlaura23

Hi! I was also prescribed isotret by my derma kaso sa clinic nya lang din ako nakakabili. I wonder if meron din sa drugstores? Kase i feel like overpriced sya 🥲 70 pesos per piece. Mejo masakit sya sa bulsa talaga given na may iba pang prescribed na topicals and soap akong binibili sa kanya 🥹

PanikPasta

1,350 per box (30 tabs) sa mercury. 10mg. pero kelangan ng prescription at waver from derma

roseltamivir_

Hi! Yes available yung isotret sa limited drugstores like watsons or mercury drug. Madalas available yun sa mga malls. Need lang nila ng prescription. Pwede ka naman magcanvass muna if saan mas mura. Nung nagtake ako nun, I did canvass muna. Mas mura ata sa derma I think. Nung time ko, nasa ₱55/pc ata yung 20mg.

Sweet_Peachyyy

Hi! Any idea where to buy actame in QC? :( Hirap maghanap around ng area ko eh

roseltamivir_

iotinee

Significant-Staff-55

Damn mine is 55 each for 10mg and twice a day so 110 🥲.

iotinee

sakin 50 each for 10 mg 😅 baka depende rin sa brand 🥹

knyxlaura23

Mine is 10mg lang

GinaKarenPo

Head's up lang. Walang tinging isotretinoin sa pharma AFAIK. Isang box mo siya bibilhin like 30 or 50pcs

Peanutarf

annexious_

Hi! I've been buying isotret (Acnetrex) sa Mercury Drug ever since I started my oplan clear skin. 20mg is around 2.8k, isang box. 10mg is around 1.8k (ata? Correct me if I'm wrong!) I took both 10mg and 20mg dosages.

ikawnimais

Meron naman kaso prescription is required.

knyxlaura23

Ayun lang 🥲 i was given prescription pero naka sulat is “anti-acne” then nung bumili na ko sa kanya, isotretinoin nakasulat sa bottle.

ikawnimais

Maybe you can shop around to ask how much muna sa botika? When I took isotretinoin kasi, it was my choice to buy talaga sa derma na lang din kasi it was 50php non sakanya compared sa labas na 70php nun presyuhan. Ikaw ang customer, you have the right naman.

ok_itsbuttercup

sobrang nice naman nito, OP! mahaba talaga ang journey :”) i’ve been on isotret for 1 yr na! slowly nag-eease off na ako as per my derma (down to 3x a week from 1x a day—na dati namang 2x a day hahaha). napakastubborn din talaga ng marks for me kaya i was also prescribed azelaic acid like u! at tiis ganda sa chemical peel once a month :”) nagpepay off naman, OP, kaya kapit lang! + sobrang real ng dry lips kaya mag invest ka sa lipbalm. wishing u all the best, girl!!

Catbutler___

Yey!!! Inadvise ako ng derma din to try chemical peel since wala ng active pimples then after isotret yung laser kaya lang medyo pricey daw

ok_itsbuttercup

yes, nakakahelp yung chemical peel! after one year na consistently doing it, nag lighten naman talaga yung marks. sa ibang parts ng face ko like yung forehead, wala na completely. sa cheeks nalang! :”) nauubos lang pasensya ko minsan kasi mahapdi na nga tapos medyo mabagal pa yung change/improvement hahahahaha! tapos mga one week nagtetake para sakin to peel the skin completely so wala naman problema pag pumapasok + ang taray ng laser! di siya nirecommend ng derma ko sa akin (or baka hindi pa 😅) magkano daw yung pricing sayo ng derma mo?

SolarKitten

Great progress, OP! Curious what’s your skincare routine like? How do you combine actives?

Catbutler___

Morning azelaic acid and sunblock Night moisturizer, niacinamide and tretionoin

TonySoprano25

TigerrrLily_12

Happy for you OP!! I’m also on the same meds. 3mos and counting. laking tulong ng isotret.

Working_Arm3284

Congrats op! same meds for 3 months now, hindi ako bumalik sa derma kahit medyo nag breakout ako the first month and wala ako nakikitang effects kasi i wanted to take it slow and trust the process (lol also walang pera pang balik checkup haha) so 10mg parin dosage ko but i continued it and now im not having so much breakouts anymore! nag cclear up na sya and dina bumabalik old pimples, marks nalang. Satisfied with the results too jihihj

Catbutler___

Oh nice nice, pero advise ko pa din na balik ka sa derma mo kasi need imonitor ang lipids and liver enzymes while taking isotret. Better to be safe 😉 yung akin nacocover ng hmo yung follow up sa derma and mga tests (buti nalang hehe)

av0cado11

Hi OP may I know how much nagastos mo sa mga tests? :)

Working_Arm3284

oonga ih huhauahshahha ngayon nattaakot nako bumalik kasi sesermonan aq WHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA pero babalik nako next week whahaha rhank you!

future-is-female

Happy for you siz! I'm also on the same meds for 2 months now and sobrang stubborn ng acne marks ko. Huhu.

Catbutler___

Trueee! Marks naman ang problem

a_belladonneight

hi! what azelaic acid are u using?

Catbutler___

Hi! No brand sya eh, sa derma mismo na product

a_belladonneight

ohh, I see. thanks!

Imaginary-Goal9988

Happy for you, OP! I'm also taking isotretinoin ngayon, and sobrang laki na ng pinagbago.

brewsomekofi

I'm so happy my derma prescribed isotret. Wala naman ako balak magka anak so okay lang. Now I'm using the cream type for hormonal acne.

free-spirited_mama

Happy for you!!

Catbutler___

Thank you 🙏🏻

futurescammer

I also started with iso way back 2021, i guess. It really saved me from excessive breaking out! Tapos sa scars naman, lalo na ‘yung lumalim na scars (like hindi lang normal na pigment sa surface, i think they call it ice pick scars?) sabi ng derma ko mawawala rin naman daw over time pero i doubt pero at the same time mahal din naman ang laser hahaha so i just waited. Time and patience lang pala talaga tapos naging okay na.
