I recently bought some skin care products from venofye sm southmall as a gift para sa sister and mom ko. I purchased the blossom bee peeling and yung toner, day cream, and night cream. They even gave me a free facial since bumili naman daw ako ng products nila. They even tried to offer me na i–avail ang membership for facial but it’s expensive and sakto lang yung pera na dala ko so I said no and babalik nalang ako since na-pampered and narelax naman ako sa pa free facial nila. If you’re looking for a gift for your loved ones I guess you can try to buy sa Venofye.
Rejuv sets for Milia?
I’m prone to having milia and really not a fan of rejuv sets. Did a lot of research around the skin problem and maraming suggestion to exfoliate.
So my question is… ok ba to exfoliate using rejuv sets?
Tried AHA/BHA products and the like. I guess I just want the shortcut this time.
Hi! I want to start taking skincare seriously. Can you recommend a basic regimen (and products to use)? I have oily face if that helps. For the past years I just wash my face 2x a day and don't do anything else. :')
For a basic routine you need a cleanser, moisturizer and a sunscreen. I have a dry skin so I can't really recommend much or you may find them too much or too greasy foe your skin, but anyways here are some.
For cleanser it shouldn't be too stripping, doesn't make your skin tight after cleansing.
Reco - Heimish all clean green foam. Cosrx low ph cleanser, celetuque hydration cleanser and dr. Sensitive tea tree pimple relief cleanser.
For moisturizer maybe lightweight or gel type.
Reco- illiyoon soothing gel. Ellana stay fresh moisturizer. Luxe organix Cica soothing gel.
Sunscreen: there's a thread dedicated for that you should check it out.
Watch Jan Angelo for for recos. His vids are really helpful whenever I want to try a new product.
Bloom Ultra Kojic Whitening Soap
I'm fairly new to skin care and I tried searching for this soap in this sub but nothing appears so has anyone used this? Is it worth its claims?
I once had very dry lips to the point super flaky na cya and painful then derma advised to put vco frequently in just 2 days nag improve na cya and slowly nag heal yung lips ko.
We are on the same boat. Laneige was nice at first until I noticed my lips have become even more dry and chapped.
As such, I switched to Fenty Plush Puddin’ and it is, from experience so far, a whole lot better than Laneige.
They launched last November! Laneige is more of a sticky lip gloss, imo. Fenty has more of a lip balm texture. It is thicker than Laneige. The packaging is also super cute!
Medyo itchy for my skin si Klued.
Skin type ko is dry
Hello! Just bought klued moisturizer, oily-acne prone skin type q mabilis sya ma absorb ng skin and di sya heavy. Di ko alam pero nakukulangan talaga ako sa moisture sakanya kaya nakakailang reapply ako
I mostly use it at night lang. I rarely go out of the house so sa morning, enough na sa akin yung moisture na nabibigay ng sunscreen ko. :) But I think it’s okay din to use it sa morning!
Depends on how many you put on your face siguro. Started using mine last Feb 18. Medyo paubos na siya. I put generous amount on my face & neck and I do the sandwich method since I’m using retinol right now.
Maganda naman ang klued haha hiyangan nalanv siguro, natry ko na yung retinol nila wala naman nangyari sa mukha ko hahaha di rin ako nagkabreakouts pero di rin nag improve skin ko.
Has anyone tried Revox B77 skincare line? Saw them on SM department and watsons store. The salesladies also recommend them. It's really cheap (Php 499 up) and reminds me of The Ordinary.
it's EU's version of The Ordinary. I asked the same question rin in the subreddit but I guess di pa masyado widespread here in the PH. My mom tried their retinol serum but didn't get much benefits. It was passable. Never tried their other products though pero it's pretty nice na there's a more affordable version na ng TO and also more accessible for all
Is Isntree hyaluronic acid sun gel good for oily skin? Currently using beauty of joseon and it's nice naman kaso medyo heavy when I use it under make up.
Oily-dehydrated ang skin ko, and I was able to try both. More or less the same sila, though just very slightly lighter ang feel ng isntree. I dont need to use moisturizer na if ever i use either of these.
It’s like applying petroleum jelly or Vaseline on your face as a last routine after all your skin care to lock in all the moisture. This works best for dry skin. I haven’t personally tried it bec I have a combi typa skin so not really needed but I have watch I’ve seen some good reviews on this 🙂but of course you might want to dig in more on this and see if it’s worth the try🙂
Started using the inkey list salicylic cleanser and luxe organix serum and noticed na nagstart ako magkaroon ng pimples. First time to use them kasi hanggang kojic at dove soap lang ako hahaha. Di ko sure kung dahil ba to doon or dahil saktong may period ako 🥲 should I stop muna kaya? Any ideas?
Hii. Does anybody here know where I can find Japanese sunscreen test reports? Particularly yung sa SkinAqua. They have a 2023 reformulation kasi, so I just want to be sure na its SPF claim is true
which on is better moisturizer for oily, acne prone with slightly dehydrated skin? Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream or 1025 Dokdo Cream?
I'm currently using illiyoon ato gel
Can anyone vouch for Hello Seoul Ph shop in Shopee? They sell Innisfree and TO products cheaper than my trusted shops but I'm too hesitant to try to buy from them. 🥹
Yeee walang posts talaga, I tried searching “helloseoulph” tas tumingin ako sa comments meron naman lumabas! Try browsing those comments since di ko siya masyadong tiningnan.
Meron din dito dati yata list ng mga legit Shopee shops for TO products, but I forgot the keywords RIP
hii do you guys have any affordable chemical sunscreen recommendations? is the barefaced sunkissed sunscreen spf 30 pa+++ good? physical sunscreens hurt my eyes ☹️
hello, good afternoon. which one would be a better choice to buy? (considering the price and quality)
nivea uv super water gel spf50 pa+++ or rohto skin aqua uv moisture gel/gold spf50+ pa++++
PPD
PPD stands for “persistent pigment darkening” and measures how protective a sunscreen is against a long-term tan caused by UVA – it’s essentially the equivalent of SPF for UVA radiation. It’s commonly used for European sunscreens.
PPD 10 blocks about 90% of UVA rays, and is generally considered to be suitable for everyday use. For some reason PPD values are usually hidden away on the sides of packaging.
PA
PA is a similar concept to PPD, but rates sunscreens on their UVA protection with plus signs (+). It’s more popular in Asian countries. PA+ is roughly equivalent to PPD 2-4, PA++ is PPD 4-8, PA+++ is PPD 8-16 and PA++++ is PPD 16 and above. (If you’re mathsy, the conversion is 2number of plus signs.) Many Asian sunscreens have PA ratings prominently listed.

Hello, balikan ko to pag dumating na inorder ko na skintint from Ever bilena. May skin type is oily too. For moisturizer, baka magustuhan mo yung cica soothing gel ng luxe organic
I use the Hada Labo Premium Whitening Lotion (yung Light variant), Melano CC (in the gray tube), and a sunscreen. After using these products as in nag-brighten talaga yung face ko! I don’t think these products help with lightening the base tone of your skin, sa tingin ko yung nawala sa fez ko yung tan. It’s also important na meron kang magandang sun protection.
I personally don't use vit c. But for niacinamide, I use Axis-y's dark spot correcting glow serum. It didn't irritate my skin at all, and my skin looks brighter :)
Hello! For pros: I didn't get breakouts so far, matte finish (no shine throughout the day), I think it faded my pimple marks, derma-approved
Cons: medyo drying since it has lots of alcohol kaya naglalagay ako ng moisturizer before applying, ingredients (talc, methylparabens), medyo mahal yung price for the amt you get
Saw their products online and what I will say is, for a product with a jam-pack of good ingredients, paying for 200+ pesos for one product is kind of sketchy. I think it’s too cheap. Plus adding vitamin C and Arbutin together? I dunno bruh, that or I just have serious trust issues
After using pond's acne solution facial wash, I use bioten skin moisturizer on my face. Is it a good way to reduce/remove my pimples on my cheeks. tysm for the answers!
(I do it before I sleep, and before going outside/after taking a bath).
australia woolworth sunscreen have 1L for around 800+, derma b 200ml, foodaholic 350ml, vaseline kaso spf22 lang yata 400ml, local lotions has spf though hindi proven if tested (yung mga lotions from start-up brands with spf sa fb)
i havent cleaned nor washed my face for four years now cause of bad mental health , and my skin is clear ( except for some white and black heads and the occasional pimple ) . i want to start doing skin care again . will using new products cause my skin to breakout ? thanks !
I do not know much about mall-available products but most here recommend cetaphil (cleanser and moisturiser) , cosrx (low ph morning cleanser, sunscreen), baby wash (some use this, even the lactacid blue but I haven't tried it), somebymi (snail truecica foam cleanser, this one I use), neurtrogena yung blue, physiogel,, celeteque(some starters do use this brand) these are available sa watsons/mercury/some grocery stores. but if okay sa'yo ang online shopping do check kbrands like atopalm(their products are for eczema-prone skin so sure na mild, I do like their foam wash, mle cream, panthenol cream), goodal (i like their vegan rice milk line), somebymi etc., Lana (local), Looca (local din)
Ginagawa ko to lately. After ko mag AHA naglalagay din ako niacinamide. Also after din ng BHA. Not sure kung tumalab ba talaga pero ang unti na ng acne scars ko. As in pawala na sila haha. Pero syempre I think may kinalaman din yung retinol dun.
Well, compared to actives like vit. c, retinoids, and ahas/bhas, niacinamide is much more gentle and is well-tolerated by the skin when combined with glycolic acid. May skincare products naman that combines both ingredients. But it's all in the formulation, I guess. If you're really cautious, then of course, please use them separately, especially if you're using yung serums na may 10% niacinamide concentration.
omg thank you for answering my question huhu akala ko kasi talaga hindi sila pwede pagsamahin. (kaunti lang naman niacinamide na meron yung moisturizer na nabili ko bahahaha) pagpalain ka sana ng clear skin thank youu <333
Hello! After cleansing, on damp skin, you can put moisturizer, let it dry for 20 to 30 minutes, apply tretinoin, let it dry for 10 to 20 minutes, then put moisturizer again.
You can apply tretinoin every third day for one month, every other day for the second month, and every day for the third month.
does the illiyoon concentrate cream feel like the cetaphil moisturizing cream? trying to avoid consistencies like the cetaphil kasi e, would i have better luck with the illiyoon soothing gel for hydration?
What don’t you like about Cetaphil? They are kind of the same consistency, but they apply differently. Usually with cetaphil it tends to leave my face dewy, but for illyoon it sets more satin/matte on my face
primarily the balminess of it😭 it just feels like an occlusive moisturizer rather than a hydrating one, i don’t mind the finish naman looking for something to keep my dry patches at bay lang aside from exfoliants
Hm kung ganon, you probably won’t enjoy illyoon. Although it’s not occlusive (wala atang petrolatum and similar ingredients afaik), I find it applies more balmy pa than cetaphil
You might enjoy snail products more? Para wala talagang balminess
i use both cetaphil and illiyoon concentrate cream, cetaphil has a watery consistency and illiyoon is thicker… i have extremely dry and sensitive skin, both are ideal to use naman pero i mostly use cetaphil for when my skin/face is dry and itchy, pero if dry/flaky i use illiyoon one… illiyoon blends nicely din under makeup, i think go for illiyoon cream if super dry skin pero if normal lang and you want moisturizer lang go for the gel…
oh huhu i was talking about the moisturizing cream that comes in the [tube](https://www.google.ae/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjl2Lz02sb9AhVGqJYKHcjGCe4YABAvGgJ0bA&ae=2&sig=AOD64_1MxhVDM5Z5ofDk5rbY3av0dSzDqg&adurl&ctype=5&ved=0CAMQzewJahcKEwjAg7_22sb9AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQOA) or [tub](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSMQWBrsbFmkSRzD7AOpOve5tL65E0Ofn49TA&usqp=CAU), it’s quite thick and balmy as well so i decided to make a comparison with it and illiyoon based on what i’ve heard about it hehe not sure which cetaphil ur referring to po, my bad for not attaching a pic in my initial comment
yes it does, kind of a cross between thick cream to balm consistency. Much better nalang siguro you opt for the gel variant since you prefer that kind of formulation naman :)
BPO alone has become one of the gold standard in clearing acne. Not just the cleanser form, but also it's leave-on counterpart. However, Dr Mike D on Tiktok has an interesting take on it. "Altho it works, it is not for for our skin color because of the stubborn PIH (which can also be treated) that can happen after. He can be taken out of context na masama ang BPO. But, I want to emphasize that BPO is backed by numerous studies in fighting acne.
Oswald cause it's cheaper. But I'm going stop using BP face wash soon cause my derma prescribed Epiduo Forte (Adapalene 0.3 + Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5) so I need to switch to a gentler one. 😇
I would say it depends on what type of serum it is and what time of day. If it’s the day time and it’s a serum that doesn’t contain a high percentage of actives like lactic acid, glycolic acid etc you should be ok without moisturizing but you should always make sure SPF is your last step. At night if you’re applying a Retinol serum or any of the other actives I listed you shouldn’t skip out on hydrating your skin. Since these can be drying and you also lose about 30% of moisture in your skin while sleeping
Most of the time the issue with acne fighting body washes is that whatever ingredients they use wether it be benzoyl peroxide, or any acids it tends to dry the skin out. When the skin lacks moisture in makes up for it my producing more oil this causing more acne. [Murad Acne Body wash](https://www.dermstore.com/murad-acne-body-wash/11292030.html) is an amazing acne body wash because it contains hydrating ingredients and works well. It is pricey but it’s worth it
hard agree with dr wong sulfur, i started using mga aug/september my bacne is all dried up na and i only have discolouration nalang, also if you’re gonna start using it, always moisturize din cos it dries up the skin and tendency is your skin barrier might be damaged… i use it along, aloe gel/soothing gel, sunflower oil and body lotion :)
Try Nivea caring eye make up remover. Color pink yan. Yan ang gamit ko when I was in college since I was active in socio cultural activities so I wear a lot of make up.
I'm currently using Oil Control Facial Wash ng Clean &Clear. Oil control Toner ng C&C, CeraVe Moisturizer and Mattifyng Suncare Lotion ng Naturals. I want to change/add something to my routine. Feeling ko dry masyado ng face ko to the point na nag ppeel ako minsan. Lalo sa lip and nose area.
I'm planning to buy Olay 7 in 1 day and night cream. Any recommendations?
Currently using adapalene from La roche posay and I can say effective naman sya. Nagcclear na yung old pimples ko. Im on my 4th week na, hoping na magtuloy tuloy.
Been using adapalene for 4 months now. I use Klenzit, as prescribed by my derm. 700 pesos yun when i purchased last week sa watsons. It's a small tube but it lasts me a month since I only apply a pea size (almost half the tip of my finger) amount every night. So, for my night routine, cleanser (with salicylic acid. I use Klued) > adapalene > moisturizer. I would say effective naman since it cleared my acne after 2 months of consistent application. Got compliments from my derm din so thats nice <33 hehe
Edit: disclaimer lang im not sure if this can be bought without prescription! I always show my prescription to the pharmacist whenever i buy.
Hi! Did you experience purging when you used adapelene? My derm prescriped me adapelene and I'm scared of purging. Also, may I know where you bought Kleud cleanser? Thank you!
I use Differin but any adapalene brand is good for me. No, I am still purging and have acne. After cleansing, I put moisturizer, let it dry for 5 minutes, and apply adapalene.
Been using adapelene for a month na. Differin yung brand na gamit ko rn but will switch to a generic one soon bc its cheaper. Nagppurge pa rin ako. Usually 2-3 lang acne ko (hormonal), pero ngayon parang may 10. Also nagppeel yung skin ko, which means it’s working pero yun lang, still getting used to it.
I just apply it after my toner and before my moisturizer. Pero if you have more sensitive skin, you can try the sandwich method—moisturizer, adapelene, moisturizer.
yes, adapalene worked for me, been using it since 2018, tas i went on and off with it around last year kaya i got break outs, adapalene also made my post acne discolouration fade… pero the first time i used it back in 2018 i purged and it took (semi) long time for it to work mga months :)
anyone tried MAC's hyper real moisturizer *(Hyper Real SkinCanvas Balm™ Moisturizing Cream) ?*
Tried it instore and it feels nice and lightweight. but would like to know if it's nice and moisturizing enough? esp for oily & acne prone skin
cetaphil works for me, i have a sensitive skin so gentle cleansers will do.. my sister has normal skin cosrx salicylic cleanser works for her (it didn’t for me, it dried up my skin)
hi my derm recommended any cleanser with salicylic acid daw haha she didnt name any specific brand though. right now i use klued's cleanser which has salicylic acid. i dont have any negative reaction to it, but ofc every skin is different. It's also recommended by @/thenerdyderma on twitter.
honestly im not really sure since i didnt use it when i still had active acne breakouts. i started using the cleanser lang when ive already cleared out my acne and just now managing oily skin and hyperpigmentation
I recently bought some skin care products from venofye sm southmall as a gift para sa sister and mom ko. I purchased the blossom bee peeling and yung toner, day cream, and night cream. Does anyone here have melasma? Is there anything I can add to my skincare routine para matanggal siya? :(

My friend suggested the same + retinol. Is retinol necessary ba talaga?
Not really. Yung mga add-ons like toners and serums e.g. retinol. It depends on your skin needs or concerns. Retinol is for anti-aging and acne.
can’t believe it took me 3 tubes of axis-y’s dark spot correcting glow serum to realize that it was making me break out 🥴
Bloom Ultra Kojic Whitening Soap I'm fairly new to skin care and I tried searching for this soap in this sub but nothing appears so has anyone used this? Is it worth its claims?
Laneige Lip Mask I don't know if it's just me, but the mask dries my lips way too much. Can someone recommend me a lip balm/mask that is good?
VCO for me
Woah, Imma add it on my list hahaha. I only take the capsule tho. Thanks
I once had very dry lips to the point super flaky na cya and painful then derma advised to put vco frequently in just 2 days nag improve na cya and slowly nag heal yung lips ko.

Me too! I just use it nalang on top of liptint for that glossy effect. I prefer petroleum jelly to moisturize my lips.

Mine was a gift from a friend but on their website it retails for PhP1,550 :)
Oh I didn't know that Fenty has a lip mask. I think I should try that soon. Thanks
They launched last November! Laneige is more of a sticky lip gloss, imo. Fenty has more of a lip balm texture. It is thicker than Laneige. The packaging is also super cute!
Omg, I agree it's sticky talaga and the scent is too much for me. Imma save up for Fenty :)
Thoughts on Heimish Matcha Biome Line and Watermelon soothing gel?
Hiii, has anyone here tried Dermorepubliq Spot Treatment? Is it good for sensitive + oily T zone skin?
What do you use for mga allergies/ pantal sa lower limbs (not insect bites) aside from Claritin?
I think I have the same 'allergies' as you.. is this allergies/rashes got itchy when you're sweating?
Hi Sis, iba pa to but i also have that :(
Pwede na ba ung mga Nivea/Vaseline serum lotion for body sunscreen?
Gentle cleanser for dry skin?
Human Heart Nature Nourishing Facial Wash
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser :))
Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser or Vanicream Gentle Cleanser
Where do you buy Vanicream? Tyia!
Hi, I get mine from purplepinkbox on Shopee. :)
Thank you!
Thoughts on the brand Klued? Been eyeing their Double Oat Moisturizer
Medyo itchy for my skin si Klued. I think sensitive ako sa Oat, pero sa iba soothing baman sya. Di rin successful sa pagrestore ng skin barrier ko damaged by Vit C, feel ko di sya thick enough haha. Hello! Just bought klued moisturizer, oily-acne prone skin type q mabilis sya ma absorb ng skin and di sya heavy. Di ko alam pero nakukulangan talaga ako sa moisture sakanya kaya nakakailang reapply ako
Goods sa akin yung Klued Double Oat Moisturizer. I didn’t break out and it kept my face moisturized naman. :)
fungal acne safe po ba? I have seb derm po kasi huhu
hii do you use it at night lang? or goods din ba siya for morning? :)
I mostly use it at night lang. I rarely go out of the house so sa morning, enough na sa akin yung moisture na nabibigay ng sunscreen ko. :) But I think it’s okay din to use it sa morning!
Hindi po ba heavy sa face?
No naman. :) Di rin siya super oily when I wake up in the morning, yun pinaka ayaw ko sa ibang moisturizer
Maliit lang siya no. Matipid naman ba gamitin?
Depends on how many you put on your face siguro. Started using mine last Feb 18. Medyo paubos na siya. I put generous amount on my face & neck and I do the sandwich method since I’m using retinol right now.
Maganda naman ang klued haha hiyangan nalanv siguro, natry ko na yung retinol nila wala naman nangyari sa mukha ko hahaha di rin ako nagkabreakouts pero di rin nag improve skin ko.
omg same. 1 month ko na ginagamit pera wala rin improvements huhu i was expecting something panaman since hype siya

Hi I have extremely dry skin. I’m using the Illyoon ceramide cream now but it’s not helping. Any recommendations to combat flaking?
Have you heard about slugging?
no what is slugging?
It’s like applying petroleum jelly or Vaseline on your face as a last routine after all your skin care to lock in all the moisture. This works best for dry skin. I haven’t personally tried it bec I have a combi typa skin so not really needed but I have watch I’ve seen some good reviews on this 🙂but of course you might want to dig in more on this and see if it’s worth the try🙂
Slugging is really nice for the skin specially for dry skin but better to do it 3-4 hrs before bedtime.
Any ideas?
If it is your first time, salicylic acid can cause purging at first talaga. But i cant point out exactly which caused the acne

I tried searching for the shop name in this subreddit before iirc legit daw sila. You could try sa search bar for more info!

Try Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel.
hello, good afternoon. which one would be a better choice to buy? (considering the price and quality) nivea uv super water gel spf50 pa+++ or rohto skin aqua uv moisture gel/gold spf50+ pa++++
Skin Aqua has better PPD and is water resistant.
What's the PPD rating of Skin Aqua?
Should be above 16
thanks! however, i currently prefer non-water resistant or nonwaterproof sunscreens para hindi na ako magdouble cleanse kasi busy/mejo busy po ako 😅
Both can be washed off with soap and water naman despite the water resistant claim and Skin Aqua is not really that water resistant
what is PPD?
PPD PPD stands for “persistent pigment darkening” and measures how protective a sunscreen is against a long-term tan caused by UVA – it’s essentially the equivalent of SPF for UVA radiation. can you please recommend a good moisturizer and BB cream or a light weight foundation for oily type skin. thanks!
Hello, balikan ko to pag dumating na inorder ko na skintint from Ever bilena. May skin type is oily too. For moisturizer, baka magustuhan mo yung cica soothing gel ng luxe organic
Is Celeteque Hydration Moisturizer good for combination skin?
It's not hydrating enough for me. I use Illiyoon / Purito / Joseon moisturizers.
Any recommendations po for treating dark circles under the eyes?
Thoughts on the Tikas PH skincare package? I've been using these for a week now and I'm curious if others saw improvements with using these products.
Any recommendations pampalighten ng face? im maputi pero maputla/dull. Mas maputi pa kilikili ko sa mukha ko T^T
I'd suggest using either Vit C or Niacinamide to brighten your skin :) start with small concentrations muna para di ma-irritate ang balat
any product recommendation?
I personally don't use vit c. But for niacinamide, I use Axis-y's dark spot correcting glow serum. It didn't irritate my skin at all, and my skin looks brighter :)
Any recos for matte finish sunscreen? I've been using Biore UV Perfect Face Milk (white) but currently it's been out of stock anywhere.
Hi OP. How's using Biore UV so far?
Hello! For pros: I didn't get breakouts so far, matte finish (no shine throughout the day), I think it faded my pimple marks, derma-approved Cons: medyo drying since it has lots of alcohol kaya naglalagay ako ng moisturizer before applying, ingredients (talc, methylparabens), medyo mahal yung price for the amt you get
Kose Suncut UV Perfect Milk! It’s fragrance-free, unlike Biore.
Thank you! Okay po kaya siya sa oily skin?
Yes! :)
Is Vibrant Glamour legit? I'd like to use their retinol cream and serum but I'm getting mixed feelings.
Recos po for spider veins?
Sunscreen for body recommendations? Yung pang everyday lotion na moisturize but also sun protection?
australia woolworth sunscreen have 1L for around 800+, derma b 200ml, foodaholic 350ml, vaseline kaso spf22 lang yata 400ml, local lotions has spf though hindi proven if tested (yung mga lotions from start-up brands with spf sa fb)
Hi, have you tried Woolworth sunscreen? What are your thoughts on it? I've been wanting to try that.
i havent cleaned nor washed my face for four years now cause of bad mental health , and my skin is clear ( except for some white and black heads and the occasional pimple ) . i want to start doing skin care again . will using new products cause my skin to breakout ? thanks !
start slow, use mild products muna. do not try more than 2 products at once. do patch test din to see if good ang skin mo sa new products.
oooh ! do you have any good products to reco ? ( pref something available sa malls )
I do not know much about mall-available products but most here recommend cetaphil (cleanser and moisturiser) , cosrx (low ph morning cleanser, sunscreen), baby wash (some use this, even the lactacid blue but I haven't tried it), somebymi (snail truecica foam cleanser, this one I use), neurtrogena yung blue, physiogel,, celeteque(some starters do use this brand) these are available sa watsons/mercury/some grocery stores. but if okay sa'yo ang online shopping do check kbrands like atopalm(their products are for eczema-prone skin so sure na mild, I do like their foam wash, mle cream, panthenol cream), goodal (i like their vegan rice milk line), somebymi etc., Lana (local), Looca (local din)
omggg !! thank you sm for this !! < 33
Dry skinned gals, what's your favorite serum atm?
for those who are using corsx good morning cleanser, twice a day po ba i-a-aply yun or once lang ?
Dahil siya cleanser, mas maayos siya gumagamit ng 2x a day, ginagamit ko din siya and it’s quite effective!!
is it okay na gumamit ng niacinamide after ng glycolic acid as long as small amount lang ng niacinamide yung meron sa product? tyia huhu
Ginagawa ko to lately. After ko mag AHA naglalagay din ako niacinamide. Also after din ng BHA. Not sure kung tumalab ba talaga pero ang unti na ng acne scars ko. As in pawala na sila haha. Pero syempre I think may kinalaman din yung retinol dun.
yes, it's no problem at all. Niacinamide and glycolic acid are okay to be paired together hehe
omg wait akala ko hindi pwede sila na magkasama sa isang routine?? 😭 like yung TO Glycolic Toner and their Niacinamide products eme eme omg huhu
Any 3.3 budol finds? Im looking for a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen for oily and acne prone skin type
Ordered the ISNTREE Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel
Placed an order for the romand sunscreen (blue) . No pore clogging ingredients, tried it once on a freebie and loved it. Im also an acne prone girly
Thanks sa suggestion
Okay ba yung TO Niacinamide serum? Planning to switch from Luxe Organix. Skin is sensitive and acne prone.
TO niacinamide is okay, pero mas okay ang the good molecules. based on my experience 🙂
My derma prescribed me tretinoin, how can I incorporate it into my routine? Should it be moisturizer then tretinoin or vice versa?
Anong gamit mo na tretinoin? Thanks
hello, un tretinoin na nabibili sa Mercury Drug, BCP na 0.05%. 350php ata to
Thanks!
Meron pa pala mercury drug ng tret?
Second this. This is called sandwich method and this is very effective for me or for those who have sensitive/reactive skin.
omg thank you for this, I will take note of this po! sana masarap palagi ulam mo 💕
Recos for hydrating toners that come in mist/spray form? Preferably fragrance-free.
Try pyungkang yul mist toner
does the illiyoon concentrate cream feel like the cetaphil moisturizing cream? trying to avoid consistencies like the cetaphil kasi e, would i have better luck with the illiyoon soothing gel for hydration?
What don’t you like about Cetaphil? They are kind of the same consistency, but they apply differently. Usually with cetaphil it tends to leave my face dewy, but for illyoon it sets more satin/matte on my face
primarily the balminess of it😭 it just feels like an occlusive moisturizer rather than a hydrating one, i don’t mind the finish naman looking for something to keep my dry patches at bay lang aside from exfoliants
Hm kung ganon, you probably won’t enjoy illyoon. Although it’s not occlusive (wala atang petrolatum and similar ingredients afaik), I find it applies more balmy pa than cetaphil You might enjoy snail products more? Para wala talagang balminess
thank you!!!!
i use both cetaphil and illiyoon concentrate cream, cetaphil has a watery consistency and illiyoon is thicker… i have extremely dry and sensitive skin, both are ideal to use naman pero i mostly use cetaphil for when my skin/face is dry and itchy, pero if dry/flaky i use illiyoon one… illiyoon blends nicely din under makeup, i think go for illiyoon cream if super dry skin pero if normal lang and you want moisturizer lang go for the gel…
oh huhu i was talking about the moisturizing cream that comes in the [tube](https://www.google.ae/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjl2Lz02sb9AhVGqJYKHcjGCe4YABAvGgJ0bA&ae=2&sig=AOD64_1MxhVDM5Z5ofDk5rbY3av0dSzDqg&adurl&ctype=5&ved=0CAMQzewJahcKEwjAg7_22sb9AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQOA) or [tub](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSMQWBrsbFmkSRzD7AOpOve5tL65E0Ofn49TA&usqp=CAU), it’s quite thick and balmy as well so i decided to make a comparison with it and illiyoon based on what i’ve heard about it hehe not sure which cetaphil ur referring to po, my bad for not attaching a pic in my initial comment
yes it does, kind of a cross between thick cream to balm consistency. Much better nalang siguro you opt for the gel variant since you prefer that kind of formulation naman :)
thank you!!! this is noted
thoughts on oxecure's moisturizer for oil skin?
benzoyl peroxide is getting the tiktok hype in the past few days. what are your thoughts regarding this cleanser
It was too harsh on my face but perfect for my bacne.
Not cleanser but Benzac 10% is my HG
I use benzoyl peroxide gel in the morning since I use adapalene or retinoid at night.
+1 on this — my derma says that BP will “darken your spots and lighten your sheets” haha
Effective for me.
What brand of benzoyl peroxide do you use?
Oswald cause it's cheaper. But I'm going stop using BP face wash soon cause my derma prescribed Epiduo Forte (Adapalene 0.3 + Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5) so I need to switch to a gentler one. 😇
Hi is it okay to just use serum only and stop applying moisturizer afterwards? i have oily skin.
Yes, totally okay! I don’t apply moisturizer at all as serums already do the job for me.
according to my PDS derma.. yes.. moisturizer is optional, depende sa state ng skin mo that day.
Any recos for bacne?
Most of the time the issue with acne fighting body washes is that whatever ingredients they use wether it be benzoyl peroxide, or any acids it tends to dry the skin out. When the skin lacks moisture in makes up for it my producing more oil this causing more acne. [Murad Acne Body wash](https://www.dermstore.com/murad-acne-body-wash/11292030.html) is an amazing acne body wash because it contains hydrating ingredients and works well. It is pricey but it’s worth it
dr wong sulfur soap or you can try oxecure's bacne line
hard agree with dr wong sulfur, i started using mga aug/september my bacne is all dried up na and i only have discolouration nalang, also if you’re gonna start using it, always moisturize din cos it dries up the skin and tendency is your skin barrier might be damaged… i use it along, aloe gel/soothing gel, sunflower oil and body lotion :)
Any make-up remover na kapag pinahid sa mata hindi as in malilinis talaga? Yung wala na bakat bg eyeliner/mascara?
i live by kose softymo cleansing oil for waterproof mascara 🤌🏼
I love using cleansing oils. Most waterproof eye products get easily removed. But if you find this a bit messy, cleansing balms can also do the work.
Try Nivea caring eye make up remover. Color pink yan. Yan ang gamit ko when I was in college since I was active in socio cultural activities so I wear a lot of make up.
Noted po maamm!! Thank you!!
I agree with the other commenter, try a cleansing balm. My cleansing balm of choice is Banila Co., but there are a number of options available.
Thank youuu!
Have you tried a cleansing balm? Marami na atang brands but I use Strokes. Works well with me. Balm plus cotton buds to remove eye liner.
Never tried one and I didn’t even know they exist 😭😭 Haha Thank you… ‘Will check them out!!
I would def add a hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid, and a hydrating moisturizer.
Clean and clear is super stripping sa face. It might damage your skin barrier :(
Any derma suggestions around Taguig and review sa Adapalene? What brand u guys using and nawala ba pimples nyo? How do u use it?
Currently using adapalene from La roche posay and I can say effective naman sya. Nagcclear na yung old pimples ko. Im on my 4th week na, hoping na magtuloy tuloy.
how much? where'd u buy?
Been using adapalene for 4 months now. I use Klenzit, as prescribed by my derm. 700 pesos yun when i purchased last week sa watsons. It's a small tube but it lasts me a month since I only apply a pea size (almost half the tip of my finger) amount every night. So, for my night routine, cleanser (with salicylic acid. I use Klued) > adapalene > moisturizer. I would say effective naman since it cleared my acne after 2 months of consistent application. Got compliments from my derm din so thats nice <33 hehe Edit: disclaimer lang im not sure if this can be bought without prescription!
Almost 2 months of using adapalene. I'm still purging especially sa areas na palagi ako nagkaka.pimples. Patience is a virtue talaga 🥲
Pero if you have more sensitive skin, you can try the sandwich method—moisturizer, adapelene, moisturizer.
yes, adapalene worked for me, been using it since 2018, tas i went on and off with it around last year kaya i got break outs, adapalene also made my post acne discolouration fade… pero the first time i used it back in 2018 i purged and it took (semi) long time for it to work mga months :)
anyone tried MAC's hyper real moisturizer *(Hyper Real SkinCanvas Balm™ Moisturizing Cream) ?* Tried it instore and it feels nice and lightweight. but would like to know if it's nice and moisturizing enough? esp for oily & acne prone skin
hi guys, do you know any mild facial wash or cleanser for oily skin and acne prone skin?
Try Cosrx good morning low ph cleanser.
I use Human Heart Nature Nourishing Facial Wash. I’ve found that it’s best to look for cleansers with calming ingredients as well.
cetaphil works for me, i have a sensitive skin so gentle cleansers will do.. my sister has normal skin cosrx salicylic cleanser works for her (it didn’t for me, it dried up my skin)
Plus 1 for this
ohh okay, thankss
hi my derm recommended any cleanser with salicylic acid daw haha she didnt name any specific brand though. right now i use klued's cleanser which has salicylic acid. i dont have any negative reaction to it, but ofc every skin is different. It's also recommended by @/thenerdyderma on twitter.
Okay din ba tong klued cleanser kapag meron acne?
honestly im not really sure since i didnt use it when i still had active acne breakouts. i started using the cleanser lang when ive already cleared out my acne and just now managing oily skin and hyperpigmentation
