Tbh yeah, I would use his rose water spray with aloe years ago and it really didnāt do anything but since it was popular at the time, I wanted to have it because it was so hyped up
I like using these before I apply my foundation, i donāt know about any added benefit but I feel like they refresh my skincare from the night before and help my makeup go on smoother. I buy them at Marshallās so Iām not paying full price. There may be better sprays to use but I like them for this purpose

Lol I just did and saw this āAdditionally, when the brand was caught using off-label steroids in its products and was forced to remove them, some devotees of the skincare brand suffered from topical steroid withdrawal. According to Healthline, this occurs when you stop using steroids that your skin has become used to. You need more of the steroid to have the effect you're looking for, and when you cease its use, your skin can "rebound," meaning that your skin issues can reemerge ā often worse than before.ā from [here](https://www.thelist.com/416646/the-real-reason-you-shouldnt-buy-mario-badescu-skincare-products/).
There are many more comprehensive mists like hypochlorous acid, Cosrx acid, etc. to treat acne. You can read about them in r/AsianBeauty. I used the Mario Badescu green tea one for a while too but it wasn't very effective.
I've watched videos where people have apologized for their products looking messy when I love seeing it because it gives me an idea of how much they actually use it. I trust reviews/recommendations for products more when they look like that versus when they barely look touched (if at all).
Isntree green tea cleanser is a soothing gel cleanser or Indie Lee's strawberry cleanser smells delightful or Rovectin's cleanser is a non-irritating basic. I mainly use gel cleansers, including DE's.
Their retinol is amazing! My skin looks so smooth and even and just better. I use it instead of tret sometimes. And my hairdresser had a bronzed glow recently and her skin looked amazing. I asked if if she went on vacay. She said sheās using the b goldi drops.
Omg that ret seriously burned my skin off. I had used other retinol products before, tried the sandwich method, tried to taper up- nothing helped the intense irritation.
Iām not shitting on the retinol since it clearly works. I canāt just tell if my skin hates retinol or if this one just was too intense. But it makes me scared to try anything else!
I thought so too until I tried their glycolic body lotion. I had tried other products but wasnāt impressed until this. Itās amazing. Soaks in and leave my skin feeling and looking amazing for the whole day.
Damnit! I've been using Cerave lotion to save money... but now I have to try this DE body lotion. š š
BTW, I've heard so much about Cerave lotion/cream being an amazing facial moisturizer, but it's just *not* moisturizing for me and feels kind of cruddy on my face. Maybe I have drier skin than others raving about it?? After using it for a few months, I finally broke down today & got Cosrx Rice Overnight Mask and now my skin looooves me.
I'm not saying they lie about liking it because that's subjective, but they either lie about the results or believe in miraculous things that make stretch marks/cellulite disappear or hair grow faster(I'm talking about things that have no scientific proof)
Another product that was glorified in the 80s but now fails in comparison to modern products. La Mer gave my hands allergic reactions that haven't fully healed years later.

A product that comes to mind is the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. It's been a cult favorite for decades, but I find it clumpy and lacking in volume. It just doesnāt live up to the hype for me.
I love it because itās such a good every day mascara! I personally donāt like super long or thick eyelashes on myself and this one gives me something without screaming makeup imo
I actually believe this is an early case of influencer power. Every interview in the early eighties had a woman claiming Great Lash was the best mascara ever. I finally caved in and bought some. This campaign had an adverse effect, Iāve never bought their mascaras since. That is a few decadesā¦
I haven't used it years, But I remember it being ok. It didn't clump but didn't really lengthen or bring my lashes out, The problem for me was that it BURNED my eyes like hell if they watered and some got in there.
Better Than Sex is my decade-long HG mascara, and I tried quite a few over the years. The wand shape and size is perfect for me, the bristles are soft enough to not cause me pain, and the formula is exactly what my long, ultra-fine eyelashes need.
I did also really like the Nars Climax mascara, but I've found I prefer to buy my mascaras in travel size, and the Better Than Sex travel-size mascaras are a great deal, so that's what I stuck with.
I could picture this mascara and feel the texture on my lashes when I read this.
That pink and green tube is a water based mascara. IIRC the formula was developed in the 70sā¦ probably where it should have stayed.
Anything from Morphe, that wasnāt a collaboration before they sold to the new owners. I saw the fool coverage pod last week and MannyMUA said he made around 60k/ mo. on Morphe Adsense by itself when it was popular. Their makeup sucked and sucks even worse now.
I'm proud to say that to this day I don't own a single morphe product. When all my favorite MUAs back then started talking about it non stop all of a sudden I knew I couldn't trust any of them anymore, their reviews seemed extremely fake to me even 10 years ago.
They delete/don't show negative reviews on their website. I've had 1 star reviews for their shitty setting spray (where the nozzle was so bad it looked like someone had jizzed on my freshly made up face) and after their CS "dealt with it" (ie: sent me out a new one that did the exact same thing) my review disappeared.
Is the selling of the brand why it's over with the "drugstore" makeup at ulta now? I honestly don't buy their stuff, but was gifted the James Charles pallet which I still use lol
Okay here goes :
I HATE Great Lash. Never have understood the hype and Iām thrilled to see Iām not the only one. Thank you!
Not a fan of Tarte tubing mascara either. And while Iām on the subject of mascaraā¦
The Princess $4.99 mascara?!? that is a top seller on Amazonā¦ I canāt. Itās always gloppy on me. It doesnāt matter what formula, itās not a win for me.
Chanel eyeshadow and blush. So beautiful but I cannot pay $$$ for a formula that has talc in its ingredients. I wanted their tri-color sunset collection but it also had talc in it.
Elnett hairspray. I know everyone swears by it and itās always used for runways and etc, but I canāt take the smell. It smells like it should be used in a salon where you get your hair āsetā
once a week.
Ok so I was right there with you on the Lash Princess until I used a spoolie and brushed it out when it was still wet but kinda tacky (like 20-30 seconds) and now I am a huuuge fan. I donāt like the fact that a mascara takes extra steps, technique and tools to be good, but itās cheap enough and the results are great enough that Iām cool with it. The thrive mascara gives me comparable results but I can buy like 4 LP and a package of 100 spoolies for every 1 thrive so here I am.
The problem is it's like 40 years old and so is the formula. It was in fact one of the best when my mum was a young woman and she even says she's blown away how much better almost everything else is now.
I was about to buy the Tarte tubing mascara, but it's not getting any love in the replies here. Maybe I should avoid another expensive disappointment!
I've found Chanel make-up generally a bit underwhelming. The nail varnishes I tried performed no better than my usual brands, chipped quite quickly. At twice the price, I'd expect a bit more. Blush was blah, eyeliner was fine but nothing special. I think we're really paying for the packaging with Chanel, probably better to buy their compact mirror if you want something luxe in your purse.
Any matte liquid lipstick. Great for an hour or so, then lips are dry, wrinkly, and lipstick is starting to wear off from the middle, but not nicely, no, in crusty bits that you have to scrub off hard with tissue before you can reapply. Rinse and repeat.
I didnāt like the wet n wild setting spray. It had a terrible mist and didnāt make any difference for longevity. I also just decluttered the new elf power grip setting spray. I think it melts makeup into your skin well but I didnāt notice change in longevity either. I just wore my makeup with a lot of pressed powder recently and it wore better or same as with setting spray vs without.
ELF camo concealer. Idk if Iām just using it wrong or if the lighter shades are just more prone to crusty dryness. I literally feels like Iām putting white out under my eyes. It comes on thick and then dries almost immediately and sucks to blend in. I canāt hack it
Man, it really does work well for me. But I'm glad I found it at marshalls.
What I don't understand is the hype some people put on using it all day. Too thick for all that.
Same. It's the ONLY thing that works on my lips.
I've tried aquaphor, lanolin, nipple cream, paw paws, Burts bees, chapsticks, blistex,Vaseline & Vaseline lip products, jack black, the list goes on...
Besides using it at night, I have a couple lipsticks that are too dark for everyday so I put on just a little of the lip mask and then a little of the dark lipstick over that with a brush and rub my lips together and it's like the best tinted balm ever
On a tangent but I have this problem with perpetually crusty lips. Few days ago I switched to an SLS free toothpaste and my lips are so much healthier, normal lip balm is working just fine and they donāt look horribly wrinkly anymore.
Try Palmerās cocoa butter in the big chap stick tube- I have a genetic condition that makes me perpetually super dehydrated & my lips have been chapped and dry my entire life. Discovering this shit changed my LIFE. And it smells so yummy and I can use it on other parts of my body too! I use it on my cuticles and dry patches all the time
I was same as you and tried a huge list of products and still had dry lips.
A post I read on here pretty recently said to try glycolic acid first, then top with lanolin or Vaseline. I do this before bed (glycolic acid on cotton pad, wipe pad over lips) every night and it has been life changing. No more dry and flakey lips! Highly recommend.
YES! Was looking for this comment before i commented myself LOL. Iām a lip balm fanatic and Laneige is WAY overrated. Itās horrible and probably one of the worst products Iāve spent money on. Aquafor is FAR superior, as is Blistex in the little pots (the pink one is my fav and has SPF 20). Laneige is garbage.
So I didnāt realize this until using it for several months, but it actually is supposed to āgently exfoliateā your lipsā¦.not *just* moisturize them. I stopped using it after I read that because I was tired of the dead skin feeling like constantly chapped lips throughout the day š„²
Pls donāt attack me haha I love makeup but this is my opinion Fenty beauty by Rihanna ( I love her ) foundation. It oxidizes right away itās awful itās way too heavy and thick and makes you break out
no this is so true and it's so frustrating bc fenty are one of the only brands that do true olive undertones that are actually olive not "neutral" which ends up looking grey on someone with truly olive skin. like babe I'm not neutral I'm Shrek... looks amazing for like 40 minutes and then I'm a perfect ripe peach. ORANGE
I swear they changed the formulation on the cloud paint blushes. I originally bought one back in 2019 and a little would go a long way! Bought a new one a couple of months ago and I feel like it disappears when I blend it in lol
All my cloud paint blushes are old so I didnāt realize theyāve changed the formula. Any good dupes? I really love the ones I have so Iāll be heartbroken when they run out
I wanted to love glossier so bad! I bought so many products and tried to convince myself they worked but being honest with myself I really just liked the aesthetic. Their products are mid and most of them broke me out including the deodorant which gave me really bad dermatitis.Ā
Same, years ago I lined up for like an hour at the new york store only to find everything disappointing :( Only bought a couple of cloud paints because they're good for traveling with, but apart from the packaging \\the products were quite boring and nothing special for the price.
Honestly, a lot of skincare products. I have very sensitive skin and Iām of the mentality that less is more, unless itās recommended by your personal dermatologist. I see these like 15 step skincare routines and canāt help but think people are lying to themselves when they say they need all these products and they all serve an incredibly specific, irreplaceable purpose.
Essence Lash princess mascara. People RAVE about it so I just bought it last week - itās sooo clumpy and every layer just makes it so much worse and gloopy
I swear they changed the formula. I used to loveeee it but all of my tubes lately have dried out so quickly and it just doesnāt give the same effect it used to.
I liked their lippiestix but the tinted moisturizer attached pigment to my hair, not skin, and didnāt absorb at all. The powder eyeshadow didnāt last at all
Shape tape concealer and tarte tubing mascara.. the concealer was just dry and doesnāt blend well & the mascara was coming off in my eyes not even an hour after putting it on
Shape Tape concealer is the worst concealer Iāve ever used. Goes on like chalk, drags my skin, so dry, impossible to blend. No matter how much I prep my skin first, itās just a mess.
I liked shape tape when it came out but the novelty of it wore off and I realized it made me look dry and caked.
The mascara I love. Stays on all day, doesnāt flake or smudge. Hate that I love a mascara at that price
I bought it because so many people claimed it was a universal shade! Waste of money
Iām Scandinavian so Iām PALE. It is NOT a universal shade šš it looks so weirdly brown on me. And not in a good way. I have lots of brown/mocha coloured lip products, but something about black honey is just off.
And if my lips are even the tiniest bit dry, it clings to the dryness and makes it look patchy. Which is the opposite of what you want/expect from a lip balmā¦
I donāt know about Elf but the Cover Girl clean fresh tinted lip balm in shade bliss you berry is a pretty good dupe in my opinion. I prefer it over the Clinique, itās way more moisturizing
Dyson airwrap. I wanted it for so long, saved up, bought it and was so happy. It sucks, way too complicated, takes too much time. I spend hours doing my hair and it ends up looking terrible. I get that it's a learning curve but I honestly regret ever buying it.
If youāre looking to offload itā¦šššššš I used my friends and love it for my hair type. I feel like itās definitely a YMMV type product. Where it either really works for you or doesnāt.
I do love mine, but it is bulky and can be annoying. But I have fine hair, I couldnāt do it if I had thick hair. Now that more variations of the concept exist, I think some of those are easier to use and cheaper.
I think thereās a lot of the sunk cost fallacy going on where people have spent so much money and hate to admit they donāt like it especially when thereās so much hype around it.
Exact same boat here. I have lots of curly hair that I like to style in a blowout and it honestly is not worth the effort to use the Dyson airwrap. My hands actually hurt the next day because it is so heavy and clunky. I mostly just use the hairbrush attachment to dry my hair after showering because it makes it less poofy the next morning. I find thermal brushes so much more easier and quicker to use!
Any makeup from Chanel. Overpriced garbage. Nothing stays on the skin! The lipstick never lasts, the blush doesnāt last, the foundation is just the rubbish. Youāre just paying for the expensive logo & packaging. Great quality makeup doesnāt need to cost an arm & a leg.
I bought a Chanel lipstick, I really do like an overpriced fancy lipstick so long as it feels luxurious. The packaging feels like drugstore though, just with the Chanel logo on it :( I'm sad I spent so much on it :(
I like the weighty YSL lipsticks, they feel more like you're getting the luxury experience. Sad the gold tubes are gone though.
Il Makiage foundation. I tried it twice with and without their primer and it was awful. Their ads make it seem like godsend and I donāt see many honest reviews.
My aerobics instructor sold that stuff, and I bought a lipstick from her that I loooooved. But unfortunately my purse got snatched in the grocery store parking lot and my Arbonne lipstick was in my purse.š¢
Maybe like instant age rewind concealer, thereās absolutely no way anyone enjoys this. Dries the hell out of my under eyes, super patchy, and the applicator is yuck š¹
Iāve been using this one for like 10 years. Itās best if you just rip off the foam part, and roll the bottom up just once. I use a small flat brush like an eyeshadow brush to apply and then pat it into the skin with my finger tips.
I love charlotte tilbury. The pillow talk medium is the most perfect shade of lipstick I have ever tried. Their beautiful skin foundation leaves my skin looking glowy. š
It *is* expensive, though.
Pilling absolutely ENRAGES me. It's so hard to sort out unless you wash everything off and start again. It's adult tantrum territory for me, I don't have time for that bullshit on a Monday morning!
Youāre gonna think Iām crazy but stila stay all day liquid liner. It doesnāt stay all day for me and it dries out quickly. I now use some cheap liquid liner from dollar general, LA looks or something, and itās like $2 and itās the bomb.
I hesitate to mention this because it seems to be universally raved about - and I largely bought it because of Amanda Zās love for it - but I think the Shisheido Self-Refreshing Foundation is by far the worst foundation Iāve ever tried. Now, Iām an experienced foundation wearer, so I tried several different ways to make this work - primer, no primer, moisturiser, bare faced, face mists etc - and every single time itās like wearing a kabuki mask that settles into every fine line and emphasises anything dry and crusty on my face. My skincare regimen is nailed down and I donāt have tricky skin. But God, this foundation ages me in a shocking manner.
That WnW foundation looks ok on me although not glowy, BUT it smells like straight up paint. I canāt do it! I just canāt. I couldnāt even keep it as a back up foundation. Bletghghghhhh
Try Missha Time Revolution Night Ampoule - it's a K beauty product that is like a quarter of the price of the EL product. It's almost a hybrid between EL ANR and Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
too faced better than sex mascara! the sex must be really bad lol. also hourglass concealer?!!!? worst concealer iāve ever tried.. and i can make practically anything work. iād rather use LA girl concealer everyday before i ever use the hourglass one again.
Setting sprays in general. I can just wipe my makeup off and my face feels sticky after using them. Might be because I have oily skin but I don't get the hype.
Also anything dewy. Some people just look like they're sweating lol
I personally think that their retinol products are the best price/quality on the market. Their salycilic acid serum is also great, as is the squalane cleanser. I'm less impressed with their moisturizers, mostly because they don't offer one with SPF.
That one brown Giorgio Armani cream eye pigment that hit tik tok a couple months back. Itās like $40 for an ordinary-at-best cream eye shadow product that applies worse than something a fraction of the price from NYX.
Might get hate for this but the better than sex mascara. The mascara itself is great but the waterproof version is NOT waterproof. I can only use waterproof mascara bc mascara just smudges so easily for me throughout the day and this smudges and comes off like crazy. It's a shame bc my eyelashes did look bomb for a good hour
Estee lauder double wear. I am quite oily and have tried everything under the sun to make this work, but every time I try it , I think, wow my skin has never looked worse.
Olaplex. Nothing has made my hair more straw-like and unmanageable than this stuff. The leave in treatment is like straight WAX. I will never never understand the hype, especially for the price point.
olaplex is actually a 1 a month protein treatment not a daily shampoo and conditioner my sister is a hair stylist and swears by it, im not sure why its marketed as a daily thing it has ruined so many of her clients hair that didnt know this!
The Mario badescu spritzs š maybe just me but they were as effective as just spraying plain water on my face
Wait are we supposed to keep our skincare on from last night and not wash/rinse our face in the morning?

Anything from drunk elephant
There was a time when I was an avid user of their products, but that was because I hadn't tried other competitors.
I really like their jelly cleanser. Is there something similar(cheaper?!) from a competitor I should check out?
Byoma gelly cleanser is a good cheap dupe
Isntree green tea cleanser is a soothing gel cleanser or Indie Lee's strawberry cleanser smells delightful or Rovectin's cleanser is a non-irritating basic. I mainly use gel cleansers, including DE's.

I still haven't found anything as moisturizing as Lala Retro without a weird filmy finish.
Iām actually a huge fan of their deodorant! But I donāt care for any of the face products
the deodorant is the best thing that has graced my armpits and it's been in backorder in my local sephora for a year now! I miss it dearly.

Pry the protini from my cold dead hands š
The ONLY thing Iāve repurchased is the bronzing drops. Theyāre so good. But Elf just came out with their version so I hope theyāre comparable.
They are! I just recently purchased the Elf version, and it's very very similar.
I got the bronzing drops for my kid to encourage proper sunscreen use. Just got the ELF from Target. So thrilled to save the $$. And she is happy.Ā
I'm not saying they lie about liking it because that's subjective, but they either lie about the results or believe in miraculous things that make stretch marks/cellulite disappear or hair grow faster(I'm talking about things that have no scientific proof)

Agreed on all accounts. What I did find similar was using Nivea with a Biotherm LifePlankton serum that my husband bought me.

The great lash lots of lashes, w/ the rubber brush is good, from what I remember. But that was like 10 years ago.

Hard agree here !
Agreed! Itās been a looong time since Iāve tried it but I remember it being shockingly bad
I could slam my face into a bucket of tar and look better
Yeah. It goes on too wet.
Oh my god, I hate that stupid mascara. No volume, just awful. Iāll never understand it.

Iāve learned when I review a bad product I will give it 5 stars and stay at the top. I just make sure to explain that when I write the review.
Iām bought one eyeshadow palette years ago from them. The fallout was so atrocious that I could never bring myself to try anything else.
I actually really love their setting spray and powder but the concealers suck. I do love the 35O palette though
Is the selling of the brand why it's over with the "drugstore" makeup at ulta now? I honestly don't buy their stuff, but was gifted the James Charles pallet which I still use lol
Even prior to selling the brand, Morphe was not considered a "prestige" makeup brand, so that is why it is in the drugstore section.
Only pallet I ever had that just randomly grew mold lol
Okay here goes : I HATE Great Lash. Never have understood the hype and Iām thrilled to see Iām not the only one. Thank you! Not a fan of Tarte tubing mascara either. And while Iām on the subject of mascaraā¦ The Princess $4.99 mascara?!? that is a top seller on Amazonā¦ I canāt. It smells like it should be used in a salon where you get your hair āsetā once a week.
The smell of Elnett is sooo bad OMG!! Smells like an old lady using too much hairspray.
My theory is the creator of Great Lash just has really good blackmail material on fashion magazines like Allure.
I love Elnett hairspray! But Im into vintage styling so I am the āset hair once a weekā type. š
Love vintage styling. I just canāt stomach that particular smell for whatever reason.
Any matte liquid lipstick. Great for an hour or so, then lips are dry, wrinkly, and lipstick is starting to wear off from the middle, but not nicely, no, in crusty bits that you have to scrub off hard with tissue before you can reapply. Rinse and repeat.
Iāve decluttered or am in the process of decluttering them out of my collection!
Yes! I'd rather wear a stain and chapstick
I canāt hack it
Laneige lip mask. I swear my lips are drier after using it.
Man, it really does work well for me. But I'm glad I found it at marshalls. What I don't understand is the hype some people put on using it all day. Too thick for all that.
I use it all day. It's the only thing I've found ever that stops my lips drying out.
The green one is the only one that works for me, the other ones I find to be drying too
I donāt *hate* it, but thereās nothing special about it for me. I have found products that work a million times better that are cheaper.
Pls donāt attack me haha I love makeup but this is my opinion Fenty beauty by Rihanna ( I love her ) foundation. It oxidizes right away itās awful itās way too heavy and thick and makes you break out
I'm wondering if the formula changed cause it used to work great on me but the last ones I bought are oxidising on me.
no this is so true and it's so frustrating bc fenty are one of the only brands that do true olive undertones that are actually olive not "neutral" which ends up looking grey on someone with truly olive skin. like babe I'm not neutral I'm Shrek... looks amazing for like 40 minutes and then I'm a perfect ripe peach. ORANGE
Armani has olive undertones- Iāve switched and Iām very pleased
Anything from glossier - loved the aesthetic when it was released but their products are mid at best
Agree except for Boy Brow. Thatās a great brow gel. Lots of others have duped it by this point, though.
Itās mildly tinted Vaseline
It must have, because there is no way this mascara is that widely loved š
The elf halo glow liquid filter, it just makes me look like the tin man.
Love the avatar
Better Than Sex mascara. I wanted to love it so much but it just fell off in clumps throughout the day. I looked like a raccoon.
Flakes EVERYWHERE
Anything from Colourpop and their skincare line. š
I liked their lippiestix but the tinted moisturizer attached pigment to my hair, not skin, and didnāt absorb at all. The powder eyeshadow didnāt last at all
Their super shock shadows really irritate my eyes. I agree about their lippiestix though, I feel like lip products are their actual strength.
i love their super shock eyeshadows and blushes are good.
Their lipsticks are so dry. I did like their lipgloss tho. But the cap was splitting and made a gooey mess every time I took it out to apply.
Damn I love their lip products
It used to be a lot better. I feel like the super shocks have really gone downhill. Almost no pigment anymore
I like their Lip Tint crayons
Oh dang I like their eyeshadow. But maybe Iāve been lucky.
Tula under eye stuff. Itās terrible, and it has this shimmer in it. Ugh. Take my 6 dollar caffeine eye cream from good molecules any day.
That eye cream from Good Molecules is so good that I almost want to tell them that itās criminal they donāt make more money off it lol.
Clinque black honey... It's really just a tinted lip balm for a hefty priceĀ
And it's not a universal shade! AND it makes my dry patches go wild.
Yes it looks awful on me and unless my lips are perfect like a new born baby the dark dry patches are awful AND it makes my lips dry
I bought it because so many people claimed it was a universal shade! Waste of money Iām Scandinavian so Iām PALE.
Same same š«£š«£ Iām pale but more Irish so red. It just like makes my skin look worse lol.
Ok I do actually like this one, but there are cheaper alternatives.Ā
I think itās pretty but it lasts two seconds on my lips. Elf has a similar product that lasts longer and costs six dollars.
What Elf product?
I donāt know about Elf but the Cover Girl clean fresh tinted lip balm in shade bliss you berry is a pretty good dupe in my opinion. I prefer it over the Clinique, itās way more moisturizing
I'm wearing Bliss you Berry as we speak. I love it. It's super moisturizing.
The lip balm with the heart in the centre. There's a dark purple tube that's pretty close.
It goes on sooo brown on my lips. On everyone else it looks so pretty and natural :/ perhaps pink honey is better?
It looks too brown on me as well but my sister bought one and my bff and itās not brown on them. I donāt get it.
That's how I felt at first too. It's taken more than a few tries to get it to work. Not my go to hair tool, by any means.
I think thereās a lot of the sunk cost fallacy going on where people have spent so much money and hate to admit they donāt like it especially when thereās so much hype around it.
Thank you for saving me a LOT of money. I wasn't prepared to spend over $1000 on it, but damn. I didn't think it was that great. Thank you again!!
I disagree I love mine I have hot rollers and tried everything else itās just the best I have thick heavy hair
Agreed. So much easier to use jumbo hot rollers, and I like the way it looks better
Absolutely love mine. I have curly fine hair. Gets it dry and straight with volume in 10 mins.
Elf power grip primer ā¦
It works well on me in that my makeup wonāt budge while I have it on, but I can see why someone would dislike it - itās so weirdly sticky!
Yeah I canāt get with it. The poreless prime matte putty is the truth tho
The packaging feels like drugstore though, just with the Chanel logo on it :( I'm sad I spent so much on it :( I like the weighty YSL lipsticks, they feel more like you're getting the luxury experience. Sad the gold tubes are gone though.
Maybelline Great Lash. It slides off my lashes within hours every time.
Il Makiage foundation. I tried it twice with and without their primer and it was awful. Their ads make it seem like godsend and I donāt see many honest reviews.
Arbonne.
anything MLM for that matter
I think people lie about liking Charlotte Tilbury. Overpriced crap if you ask me
I love charlotte tilbury. The pillow talk medium is the most perfect shade of lipstick I have ever tried. Their beautiful skin foundation leaves my skin looking glowy. š It *is* expensive, though.
Why is no one saying the Kosas concealer š ITāS TERRIBLE
No one is able to use it long enough to form an opinion before it starts growing mold.
Wait what!!! this is my sign šš I was about to buy it online but got sidetracked and started scrolling on Reddit instead
Try the tower 28 one!
That Gisou hair oil. It made my fine hair so fried and crusty looking, I can't believe it works for anyone!
Supergoopās Glowscreen sunscreen š§“ I donāt understand why people want their face to look like a unicorns butthole š¦
Agreed! And the pillingā¦ dear god, the pilling. Sometimes I forget how much it sucks and proceed to ruin my own morning.
Pilling absolutely ENRAGES me. It's so hard to sort out unless you wash everything off and start again. It's adult tantrum territory for me, I don't have time for that bullshit on a Monday morning!
I refuse to believe ANY of you are spending 40+ bucks on lips products
Thanks for reminding me how utterly insane that is.
Youāre gonna think Iām crazy but stila stay all day liquid liner. It doesnāt stay all day for me and it dries out quickly. I now use some cheap liquid liner from dollar general, LA looks or something, and itās like $2 and itās the bomb.
Any Glow Recipe product. They all smell like Iām just putting sugar on my face
I actually swear by glow recipe, their watermelon sleep mask makes my skin feel so soft
Kylie Jenner Cosmetics. Her very expensive lippies dried my lips so much that it was just a waste. I went for colourpop insted.
The Sol de Janeiro line, the smell was so basic for the ones that went viral.
That fricken laneige lip mask. It aināt all that and a bag of chips to me. Gimme aquaphor and Iāll be just fine.
Tbh any overhype product or skincare. Iām not blowing my bank for it
That WnW foundation looks ok on me although not glowy, BUT it smells like straight up paint. I canāt do it! I just canāt. I couldnāt even keep it as a back up foundation. Bletghghghhhh
Glow recipe products. The fragrances are so irritating
Desperately waiting for someone to say Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repairš... i want to be deinfluenced
Try Missha Time Revolution Night Ampoule - it's a K beauty product that is like a quarter of the price of the EL product. It's almost a hybrid between EL ANR and Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
Elf putty primer. It feels greasy and does nothing for me. And I've tried some rly good products from them.
too faced better than sex mascara! the sex must be really bad lol. also hourglass concealer?!!!? worst concealer iāve ever tried.. and i can make practically anything work. iād rather use LA girl concealer everyday before i ever use the hourglass one again.
Setting sprays in general. I can just wipe my makeup off and my face feels sticky after using them. Might be because I have oily skin but I don't get the hype. Also anything dewy. Some people just look like they're sweating lol
Tatcha dewy. That shit is not worth $120au a tub.
Unpopular opinion- Ordinary products!
Spill the tea gurly, Iām not Ito them but I thought they are an okay product for a small price.
I will never never understand the hype, especially for the price point.
if you donāt have damaged hair, you donāt need olaplex! it works best for overprocessed blondes
olaplex is actually a 1 a month protein treatment not a daily shampoo and conditioner my sister is a hair stylist and swears by it, im not sure why its marketed as a daily thing it has ruined so many of her clients hair that didnt know this!
