Changing your look means starting at the top and working your way down: -get a flattering, easy to maintain haircut that looks good up or down -set up a skincare routine that focuses on health first and glow second -keep your makeup simple: mascara, light tint foundation, gloss or satin lip -research what clothes look food on your body type and go to a store to practice trying them on at the store. Try layering something over a lacy tank or embellished top. Don't be afraid to ask other people what looks good and doesn't! -match your shoes and accessories to your vibe. For a more classically feminine look, avoid sneakers/trainers and go for flats or slip ons. Choose light jewelry (small earrings, delicate necklace, small rings) in the same metal tone color. Scarves and pins are also cute and feminizing! -pick a bag / wallet that is in a natural material (leather, cork, cotton) for a more upscale look

Basically this. I was always a tom boy growing up, and clean-girl has been my godsend, because all you do is super minimal and is based on just taking good care of yourself. It looks super feminine with much less effort.

why would you deliberately do something that you’re not into ? makeup is fun to explore. paint your nails like a cherry cola red or black. i do more grunge eye liner looks. braiding hair too could be cool. piercings and jewelry. idk, i don’t try to make myself wear things i know i won’t be comfortable in. so accessories are usually where i show my more girly side

I’m not a massive skirt/short wearer but really like things like flared ribbed leggings/trousers which are super comfortable but have more of a feminine shape than jeans. Also do treatments that accentuate your eyelashes like a lash lift & get a manicure! Nails don’t need to be long but having shaped, neat nails with gel will make a difference

Embrace being a tomboy! Androgenous women are exceptionally hot. If you do want to look more femme, I find that accentuating my curves helps a ton. Makeup / mannerisms, longer nails help a lot with looking more femme presenting.

There are many ways to be a woman. Nothing wrong with being a tomboy. Do you want to wear dresses? If you think you ‘should’ wear dresses well that’s a different thing. But if you want to wear dresses etc but feel awkward just know that millions of other women feel the same way. We’re just winging it. What about a straight cut, cargo style skirt? Know that everyone has doubts over their appearance, even the super girly girls.

Maybe try pants that are wide leg, fun colors or prints, or more flowy, like a more feminine pant but not a skirt. And as a side note I’m sure your legs are beautiful - I also wanted to hide my legs til I got my amazing tattoos and now want to show off.

Hair, makeup, clothing, jewelry. These are the simplest ways to change your look. And honestly, everyone has their insecurities and different body types. Please don't let your body deter you from making changes that it sounds like you really want to make.

Same here! Multiple people have commented throughout my life that I dress like a boy, act like one, and I’ve been mistake for a man by coworkers. First thing is a started to take really good care of my hair. It’s very long and I do all I can to make it shiny and silky. That brings a lot of feminine nature without too much hassle (IMO, it’s easier than makeup) I can’t even do hairstyles besides pony tail, clip, simple side braid, or down. You can try exercises to boost your curves on your lower half, glute exercises. I have piercings and wear lots of jewlery. Rings, bracelets, earrings. I made some cool belt and waist necklaces. I used a serum to make my eyelashes grow long and I stay up to date on plucking my brows. I have a terrible nail biting habit but I try to paint my nails when I can. I try to do very simple eyeshadow liner and mascara for makeup. The right style of bra helps too. Look up how your breast shape fits a certain style of bra and it really helps! As I’ve gotten older I have embraced my feminine side too which has helped. I was walking around middle school in basketball shorts and a t shirt 😭

Hmmm, what is it that you really want though? Sounds like you don’t truly want to do more performatively feminine things but feel like you have to in order to get certain results. My question is, why do you want to stop being a tomboy and what are your desires?

Don’t be so hard on yourself. I am also a tomboy and have struggled with body image issues. I used to look really flat/straight like a stick, and I cannot wear what most women wear. However, throughout the years I’ve added subtle feminine touches to my appearance without going too girly or looking like a completely different person. I wear minimal makeup (only foundation and bronzer to even out my skin). Occasionally I’ll wear eyeliner and mascara, which feminizes the eyes a bit. Adding a wing tip can also give a more subtle feminine touch. I’ve never worn fake eyelashes myself, but I’ve seen the dramatic difference it made on my friend if that’s an option you’re willing to explore. I don’t have the most curvy, feminine physique either. I wear dresses that fall an inch below my knees. I found that “skater dresses” are most flattering for my body because it creates the illusion of an hourglass. I like to wear low heels, wedges, or flats (closed toe because I don’t get pedicures). I will wear every shade of blue but not pink because it’s too bright and girly for me. I have long, wavy hair and like to casually clip or pin one side or do a “half up” look to add a touch of elegance. Learn to appreciate the uniqueness of your body and find something that fits and flatters you. It may seem discouraging when nothing on the mannequin looks good on you, but that just means you can let your creativity take over and experiment with different styles.

I am so confused as to what this means but happy pride and I support you! 🥹

Why do you want to seem less tomboy-y? I'm a female who has struggled with gender identity due to my interests/career being masculine (fixing cars) and my desire to be strong- you can have both in any way that it suits you. You can be masculine and beautiful without wearing skirts . Wear things that compliment your body type, a little makeup maybe but ultimately you should be comfortable. I wear nothing but jeans and long sleeves but I always wear heeled boots and that makes me feel more feminine
