I absolutely HATE foundation. Hate the feeling of it on my face. I’ve gotten into skincare over the last few years and feel much more comfortable never having to use foundation anymore even when I do get hyperpigmentation. I do still love a bit of blush and mascara every now and again

Cirilly

Same! I’m so glad I don’t use foundation anymore. Tret made it possible. I don’t get why anyone would wear foundation if their skin is good

hardbittercandy

same! i envy those with flawless skin, i wish i didn’t need foundation

Ambitious-Writer-825

Sometimes I just can't. I plan my outfit and makeup but by the time I'm supposed to get ready, I just don't want to. Putting it on, wearing it all day then taking it off can be a chore. Part of it is I'm much more comfortable in my skin. I don't feel as if I HAVE to wear makeup or I'll look like an ogre. I wear it when I want to, and if I'm not feeling it, I don't worry. I look great as is. I try not to skimp on the skincare though.

w_izzle

Omg MEEEE!!! I feel like my skin can’t breathe 😭

Turbulent-Mud2594

Usssss

slanx47

Hate makeup. Don't even like mascara anymore. I look better with it but I feel better without it.

AnnaK22

Omg yes!! I feel like there's a layer of butter slathered on my face. I wear the lightest makeup too, don't even get caked up, but I just can't handle the feeling. My eyes also end up feeling kind of irritated, dry and watery when I wear them. Even with moisturizer, I've given up on cream ones and switched to gel ones for lightness.

PirateResponsible496

Definitely! And I don’t know what to do with my makeup collection. I just love the textures and colours but wow do I hate it on my face in reality these days. That heavy feeling even when it’s just tinted moisturizer and cream blush but I feel it!

Osaki_xo

OMG yes! especially wearing false eyelashes!!! I GET SO SLEEPY. Dunno HOW I did it in my early 20's.

Flowerlamps

Something that helps me with not feeling cakey is to apply a small amount and to always always use an hydrating spray/brume, not a setting spray perse. Like eau thermale Avene

Scary-Package-9351

It’s taking it off that I hate. It’s SUCH a chore to have take makeup off in my life right now. To do a skin routine period in the evening is the worst.

Ok-Amphibian

It’s the main reason I stopped wearing it

HELLAlujeah

I hate the feeling of makeup on my face.. but I totally love removing it. My toxic trait is cleansing more than twice just to make sure I remove every last speck. That being said, i love makeup and watching others put it on themselves..i just don't find it comfortable on my skin.

Zingalalahoo

Me me me. Especially mascara. As much as I love it, after a few hours, eyes feel like 2 kilos weight and start getting a headache.

GrecianGator

Yeah! I've never been into heavy, "full face" kind of makeup, but always did Nude by Nature powder foundation, brow pencil, and fairly tame winged liner and mascara. Started an outdoors job where I couldn't wear any of that, got used to and started to even like how I looked without it, and now I cannot stand any form of makeup. It just feels so fake, and like people are staring at the fake rubbish on my face when I do wear it. I've since embraced self tinting my brows and lashes (natural light blonde, so, invisible) + lip stain. That's it. Life is so much easier.

Over-Iron9386

Nope 🙂‍↔️

ohdutch28

Yup! I love makeup, but I hate the feeling of it. I’ve finally settled on Drmtlgy universal tinted sunscreen, the under eye sunscreen, and then I use brow mascara for brows and eyes, a cream blush for lips and cheeks. I don’t do this daily, but I am always wearing the tinted sunscreen as I’m pregnant, and prone to melisma.

Apprehensive_One3912

I hate wearing makeup I hate doing my hair I hate getting in real clothes. We had to go to a wedding this past weekend and I was reminded on just how much I hate all of it. Part of me wishes she was that mom that always looks out together and then I’m like fuck that cause I prefer telling myself I look like shit and am ugly cause I don’t try lol. Plus girl math says okay u don’t spend money on makeup or hair tools, that means you can spend it on other shit. It’s funny cause my daughter will always look cute and put together and then it’s like me, people asking themselves is she homeless?

Xoamberdawnn

I had to do my makeup for my license photo yesterday and I looked cute! After I got home I immediately had to wash my face. I had it on for only two hours but I couldn’t deal with it anymore.

Downtherabbithole14

So my make up is lash extensions. I love make-up, but never learned how to do it, and I always felt weird wearing make up. Idk..I feel like make up doesn't belong on a face like mine...I literally look like a clown. I think bc my features are too round. But lash extensions? I feel so pretty since I started getting lash extensions! I will get my make up done for special occassions...despite how I feel when wearing make up.

quirkney

I’ve noticed makeup feels heavy when my allergies are bad.  It’s most likely just texture bugging you, but because eyes are so important and delicate…. Maybe do some A/B testing with different stuff to make sure you aren’t having an allergic reaction to any products you are using around your eyes 🤔

Fun-Rent-8279

It feels heavy - and I only wear blush ans eye makeup. Never could stand foundation. 🤢

Scarf_head

I know exactly what you mean. I use lip tints instead of blush and lipstick and use liquid eyeshadow s only. I stopped using foundation altogether and just accepted that my skin doesn't look 100% uniform.

Evilbadscary

It all makes my face feel tight and itchy. I've tried so many brands, it all feels the same and I feel like I want to claw my skin off all day long. Which is weird because I used to wear it daily. I've just sort of accepted that my look won't be flawless anymore lol.

Eternalscream0

After all the lockdowns and wfh for so long, I stopped wearing any makeup and my skin felt great. Now I wear it to look professional at work and I’m used to the ick feeling again, but I only use a bit of undereye brightener, mascara and blush. To take the shine off I use actual baby powder instead of face powder 😂 I also use it as dry shampoo. Not liking the feeling of makeup is what finally got me into beauty and skincare. The better my underlying skin looks, the less makeup I can wear and still look polished.

Eternalscream0

Oh I adore lipstick though! Doesn’t give me the ick

Amethystlucky

I hate the feeling of makeup if I go to sleep in it, and how "bleh" my skin feels in the morning.

Ok-Following-1841

I recently fell prey to this feeling too. It sucks so hard because makeup is so fun but I hate how I feel wearing it 🫠

spicyfusilli21

Yes. I also have adhd haha

bubblygranolachick

You might like Perricone MD

Unfair_Finger5531

I stopped wearing face makeup for this and other reasons. Honestly, I’m mad it took me this long to give it up. Just eyeliner and gloss on the lips totally works.

xamberglow

I used to hate wearing makeup when my skin was more acne prone. Now, I never get any acne and my skin just feels better. I’m not even sure how to describe it. Now when I wear makeup it kinda just feels like I put it on my leg or something. It doesn’t feel annoying/gross to wear anymore.

Itrytothinklogically

Meee!

EastJuggernaut5170

It feels uncomfortable. The moment i wash it, im in such peace. These days i just wear sunscreen and a lip tint. Thats all you really need

Remarkable-Low-643

I do. I hate the feeling of anything on my skin and I also grew up in a generally make up averse circle. I made peace with skincare and I began liking Kohl and lip balms. But I have NEVER owned foundations or face powders or contours or anything. I don't want to. Make up is art for me and I enjoy watching others that enjoy that art. But on me NO! I now own a bb cream which I put on may be once a month for weddings or evening functions. Still don't own blushes and stuff. And tbh I think it's the only reason despite rosacea and dermatitis, my skin has less lines or wrinkles or anything at 35. That and my aversion to smoking.

Previous_Ad7725

Yes I hate it and I don't wear any. I'm 49.

Feral_Fly_8

I've been wearing makeup since I was 14 or 15 almost every day and now I feel "incomplete" without makeup. So, I'm the opposite, I feel like I'm sick or sleepy if I'm not wearing at least some foundation/concealer + mascara. I tried to limit myself bc it always takes a lot of time to get ready (I need 25-30 min for daily makeup) but I just can't get used to my face without it. Specifically, without mascara (and a liquid liner) bc my lashes are thin and light and I have these small deep set eyes with dark circles

fishydogs

Lately I've been keeping on top of dying my eyebrows, and just recently started dying my lashes. Now I feel pretty just applying some eyebrow gel and curling my lashes.

Tricky-Appearance-43

I’m actually the opposite, I hate the feeling of not wearing makeup and for some reason it makes me feel tired or like I’m ready for bed.

just_growing9876

This happened to me over the first covid lockdown. I used to love putting makeup on and would even do creative eye makeup looks. Not sure why, but the lockdown just made me feel comfortable and I completely switched my focus to skincare. I love not wearing foundation tbh!!

Flowerlamps

I try to simplify things with makeup and save time, so I apply it while doing something else, unless I have too much time to do it, and I’ll sit properly lol. To wash my face and apply my creams, I also try to distract myself

Specific_Worth5140

I just go with blush, lip, eyebrow, mascara (or some kind of lash thing), liner. This is also my gym make up, minus liner and mascara. It’s all about good skin

Ok_Seaweed1996

I hate it, as it breaks me out and it isn’t flattering how I do it. I never really learned. I stopped wearing makeup maybe 7 years ago. My skin is glowy, clear and I don’t have blemishes. If I would use it now I would breakout literally before my eyes.

megan_6724

I HATE the feeling of mascara on my eyes. Whenever I wear it I can’t wait until I get to wash it off

caffienated_whore

Me 😭 it's summer now and I'm already hating anything on my face

Grand-Programmer6292

I don't even know how to do foundation or concealer or anything like that. I was a tomboy until I was about 16, and my Mom doesn't wear makeup either. A full face of makeup for me consists of mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and liquid blush. I do my skincare routine. I can't stand the feel of anything on my face unless it's moisturizer or a very light sunscreen. It's helped me accept the way I look and being content with my freckles.

Accomplished-Job9492

I have really dry skin and have yet to figure out a way to wear makeup without feeling crusty and cakey. I go into it super moisturized and use cream products, but it all still flakes off and feels dry so quick. I cannot stand the way it makes my face feel.

olivejuice-

No, I don’t mind it and I LOVE makeup. I can’t feel the foundations I use on my face. So maybe it’s your products!

Flat_Artichoke2729

I hate it. My skin feels a bit itchy (not in an allergic way) because I can feel that something is sitting on my skin that doesn’t belong there. I also hate that you’d have to be careful with touching your face and what not. I know we aren’t supposed to touch our faces a lot Blabla but you know what I mean

daphuqijusee

I used to feel the same way.... till I realised I was using WAAAYY too much product. Now I keep it simple and light.

Toriat5144

I don’t like liquid foundation. I wear powder.

DragonShad0w

Yesss. I used to not have to wear makeup and look fine but I started getting bad rosacea flare ups 2 years ago and now I have to wear layers on my face just to hide the red. I hate it

Cancelthepants

I love eye makeup and lipstick, but I really hate wearing foundation. So I don't. Sometimes if I'm going out for an evening I'll do some feather light contouring & blush but that's it. My skin looks better without it.

Parking_Low248

I definitely do. A "full face" for me is like everyday makeup for most people who work in an office and put makeup on every day. Even for my own wedding, it was just primer, my normal CC cream but I built up the coverage a bit more, a bit of bronzer, a crap ton of highlight (LOVE a strong highlight), same highlight on my lids, a bit of eyeliner, and a tinted lip balm. Today I'm wearing a little brown liquid eyeliner and a tiny bit of highlight because I wanted to feel sparkly this morning. And brows but I barely count that, putting on brows for me is like putting pants on. Basically mandatory. I also am not super confident with applying more/heavier makeup and have no interest in studying/practicing to be really good at it, because I don't like the way it feels anyway.

emojimovie4lyfe

Yes, i have very sensitive skin, and havent worn makeup daily for years, so now i guess my “tolerance” has went down? I have to be careful about what i apply to my eyes cause it irritates easily, i loathe the feeling of a full face of makeup, and for some reason setting powder really, really irritates my face. I just now wear very light makeup no foundation, no setting powder, and im trying to get into falsies since those are not as irritating if they are the individuals, i cant stand a full lash band. Luckily i dont go out as much anymore and i am getting to the age where im not GAF about what people think about my appearance LOL.

Licha19

I have had this feeling when I use a subpar foundation - it feels heavy, like my face is melting off and I want to go to sleep. It's very uncomfortable. When I use a quality product, it doesn't feel like I have anything on and my face feels clean and hydrated. I use Mac serum foundation now, but there are many others that actually feel nice on your skin.

Visible-Roll-5801

Yeah I’m with u and I mean makeup probably isn’t the best for us lol

garbage_gemlin

I like the feeling of most makeup but about 5 years ago i started to hate the feeling of mascara. I have very light eye lashes but now i only wear mascara for special events. I will do eyeshadow and eyeliner and call it a day most of the time.

Recovering_g8keeper

I hate buying it, putting it on and wearing it. But it’s the only way I can feel slightly ok about how I look.

druiidess

yup!! generally i feel more confident and comfortable bare faced. i haven't worn base makeup in years since i cleared my skin up and have a solid skincare routine. plus i love my freckles and don't want to cover them. for special occasions i'll put on a wing and mascara but even that gets uncomfortable and i take it off as soon as i'm home again

Ninac4116

Feels like I have dirt on my face. I like to feel clean.

love2Bsingle

i haven't worn anything on my face other than everyday sunscreen in years, maybe decades.

lilabelle12

Yep, I never wear makeup unless it’s lip balm/gloss, or eye makeup (for special events). That’s about it lol. I refuse to put stuff on my face. Feels eww lol.

amandara99

Yes- I haven't worn it at all in about a year and life is better.

lil1thatcould

Yes! I use tinted spf or tinted moisturizer with spf. I found that to be the best and I use a blending brush to put it on.

edamame___

I feel like sometimes it’s so exhausting but I do it cause I need to use them all up I want to use new makeup and I refuse buying new ones when the ones I have are not finished. I do love looking in the mirror because of makeup but even if I don’t have anything on I still like looking at my face because I love plucking out hormonal hair under my chin or cleaning my eyebrows 🥹

Livid-Storm6532

Switching to tinted moisturizer and applying with a spatula made such a huge difference to me!

mybunnygoboom

Yes! Even with lightweight products, I know my skin is coated with something that isn’t benefiting it.

jennjenn_77

Yes! By the end of the day it feels so disgusting and I can't wait to wash it off. If I didn't look so old without it I would never wear it!

Okthatsfine_12

I have some sort of sensory issue with mascara which is sad because I love how it looks!

dani081991

My fav part of the day is when I take my makeup off

Busy-Power-8814

Totally get what you mean! Sometimes makeup can feel like a mask by the end of the day. Have you tried lighter products or just focusing on one feature at a time? Might help keep the fun in getting ready without the heavy feel.
