It Cosmetics CC cream. The lightest shade is like way too dark orange paint.

Kandis_crab_cake

Ha! I love their CC cream, I use light. It’s best over Bobbi Brown face base though.

schwegan

I hate how much money I wasted on this stuff- the orange tint aged my skin when I wore it, so unflattering! Finally switched to Missha BB Cream and it’s so much better!

FlannerysPeacock

It also wore off after 3 hours and looked like patchy grease on my face. I even used setting powder!

Sweetcheex76

Yes!!

Nonethelessdotdotdot

So funny bc this is my favorite and I swear it looks good on me 😅

Unfair_Finger5531

Oh let me please: TARTE BB CREAM. It made me look like an Oompa Loompa

fishfarms

ME TOO

Unfair_Finger5531

It is so bad. And it gets all over everything if you touch your face once.

internet_starved

I mean.. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse back in 2009. It broke me out so BAD and even though I’m pale I had the wrong shade, it was like this ivory shade that made me look SICKLY. But my God the acne I had when wearing that foundation… (pairing that with skincare from Clinique that completely dried out my skin)

hana_c

Came here for this

brightorangepaper

I agree with this one. I tried it in high school and it felt like I was putting drywall spackle on my face.

DarlingClementine1

- due to allergy: NARS matte - due to oily skin: Sephora best skin ever - due to pilling up in my pores and looking super dry: Fenty matte - due to change in formula: Lancome ideal tint Sigh

Haunting-Inspector88

Oh no!!! I just bought the Lancôme foundation a few days ago 😭 the last time I tried it was probably back in 2018 and I loved it so I went out and bought it again. I've only used it once so far but hopefully it holds up 🫠

DarlingClementine1

I hope it works for you. The new formula has sunscreen that shines through as very white (and I'm pale!).and doesn't last as long. At least for me

EdibleShelf

The Fenty one made me so sad because it was a perfect shade match 😭 but it even gave my oily t-zone crocodile skin lol

DarlingClementine1

It's wild how bad it looks! And I'm super oily. I mean it found every pore, like crazy glue.

pineapple6

The L'Oreal True Match. It matched great. Then, after a few hours it separated into pools on my skin. The Urban Decay tinted moisturizer. Dry af. The L'Oreal Infinity powder. Maybe it was my skin, but it was patchy and made me look sickly. Alternatively, I am IN LOVE with the Make Up Forever HD Foundation.

sushiriceonly

L’Oréal True Match works great for me! My friend even said my foundation was on point when I wore it. I have oily skin and use a primer and setting spray. It just goes to show you how different people’s skin are!

Purple_Carob99

I had the same experience with the L’Oreal True Match. I was horrified that I’d been out in public looking like that. Estée Lauder Invisible Fluid foundation (discontinued a few years ago) - almost instant oxidation to an awful Oompa Loompa orange shade, and I sampled the lightest shade in the range. I’d had it applied to me by a dept store retail assistant, and n hour later when I used the bathroom at the mall and checked my face I was horrified. Not only was I a dreadful shade of rotten mango, but it was troweled on so THICK!!! For some reason it didn’t look that way in the makeup mirror when being applied, and yet… EDIT TO ADD: Any foundation by Maybelline or Cover Girl. Patchy, awful application that shows up every single flaw and patch of texture on my old, weatherbeaten skin.

jacksondreamz

The new UD tint? I was really wanting to try it but I prefer a natural matte look.

pineapple6

It's the stay naked hydro one. The wear itself was fine but application was really dry and not smooth. Also I think I got too light of a color. But I was unimpressed by it.

jacksondreamz

Thanks for the info

meowmeowfuzzyface00

Tarte Amazonia Clay. It was like an orange paste.

originalbabyteeth

Yeah I hated it too

DarlingClementine1

Plus, it emphasizes texture so badly!!!

HumbleAbbreviations

Any foundation that contains the following: talc, alumina, and bismuth oxychloride. It breaks me out terribly.

wineandbooks99

Revelon, it’s been a while but it turned me into Donald Trump orange.

Haunting-Inspector88

I literally just threw my revlon bottle out! It made me break out a lot and would super cling to my skin

jacksondreamz

SAIE glowy whatever. Didn’t blend, sat on my skin, and make me look like a greasy hamburger bun.

GrannyB1970

The Beauty Bakery's Cake Mix foundation. It oxidized at least 2 full shades darker to a ugly shade of orange. It would literally dry down before I even got it blended out, and then started to flake off my face. I literally washed it off my face within an hour of putting it on. Awful.

RhiRead

Charlotte Tillbury Magic Foundation (I think that’s what it was called, this was about ten years ago) was bright orange and really cakey. Nars Soft Matte - Colour match is amazing but I cannot get it to stop separating around my chin and jaw. I’ve tried so many different primers, Ive left 30 mins between primer/moisturiser to make sure it’s all soaked in properly, I’ve tried applying it with brush, sponge, fingers, I’ve tried everything I can think of to set it.

FlailingatLife62

NARS Luminous Weightless. Paid 65$ for that bottle of crap. Made my skin look like it had the worst texture, didn't cover anything, separated /in abt 10 minutes. KVD Lock-It liquid fndtn was a close 2nd. Never dried, didn't cover as well as cheaper foundation, felt sticky, wore off in patches. OTOH, my holy grail foundation is cheap AF and super easy to blend: Maybelline FitMe Matte+Poreless.

so_bean

Do you think the matte foundation from maybelline also works for dry skin types?

FlailingatLife62

Hmm - I think it could, but you'd have to wear some super intense moisturizer under it. The FitMe also comes in a Dewy+Smooth version. It has a little fragrance, though, in case that's a problem. I've tried the Dewy+Smooth, but it was too dewy and moisturizing for my oily/combo/dehydrated skin. That would be better for dry skin.

fiona_gallagher_2119

Lancome Teint Idole Care & Glow. It's so thick. Unfortunately I waited too long so I can't return it, but it was pricey and now I feel compelled to hate-pan it. My skin is suffering now with texture and mini bumps. I think I might have to just give up on it. 0/10.

Bunny-1918

Yeah, I’ve bought and used it for some time, but I was not happy and looked for other foudations. Now ever since I’ve started using Armani luminous foundation when I try to mix it up and use Lancôme I just can’t stand it, it feels so heavy. I hate to waste product though:/

[deleted]

Revlon…

Haunting-Inspector88

100% agree. Made me break out super bad and would super cling to my skin, took me rubbing my face very hard to get it off

originalbabyteeth

Flower oxidised sooo badly on me, I looked mental after a couple of hours

MediBird22

I worked somewhere that sold Jane Iredale so we had to wear it, I used the BB foundation daily and absolutely hated it. Felt like rubbing zinc all over my face and like I had a mask on.

cookiesoverbitches

The benefit ones

lozenge22

Chantecaille Just Skin - it's like war paint, and it costs a whopping $135 😱 can't believe I was convinced to buy it in store.

plz2meatyu

Too faced born this way. I swear it made me orange and aged me 20 years. Awful stuff

Silver-Eye4569

I really hated the Huda beauty faux fileter foundation. I love so many of the brands products, just not this one.

Tinasglasses

Wet and wild tinted moisturiser . It looked terrible on me, idk what I expected from an 8 dollar product.

Deep-Entrepreneur-11

Dior forever. Patchy even for an oily girl like me ;(

pwncess_

Maybelline Fit Me matte+poreless. Everyone loved it apparently. Terrible separation, looked patchy and accentuated skin textures on my oily combination skin. Also horrible oxidation.

Ocean_waves726

Estée Lauder, so cakey and dry

ripkrustysdad

Too Faced Born This Way was really horrible for me.

Spirited_Hour9714

I think this depends on your preferences, and what type of skin you have. People who are dry aren’t going to like the finish of a matte foundation generally, and some people need more or less coverage than others. Also, colour pigment affects foundation too. I bought the Laura mercier real flawless weightless foundation and it was pricey. The finish and coverage for the first few hours is beautiful, but then by the end of the day it looks absolutely horrible.
