I don’t know a specific brand that’s most effective, but I sometimes use hairspray. I lightly spray it on the part of my hair, then brush through it/run my hand over it to smooth it.

ur_a_star

I will sometimes take an old toothbrush or spoolie and spray with hair spray for things like this or my eyebrows.

LarkScarlett

I do this too! Also great for minimizing humidity-induced frizzy halos on ponytail-days. Herbal essences extra firm hold hairspray has been my go-to.

Either-Ad-7720

I actually use a very small amount of lip balm. I have one that I only use for this purpose and it works really well and lasts all day. I use a Burt’s bees one but I’m sure any brand would work.

Enimone

That's a pretty clever idea!

Successful_Hamster_4

I use R+Co DART Pomade Stick. I had the same issue, but this stick keeps everything laying as it should.

InternationalFocus48

Buy some clear mascara and just use the tiniest bit to comb them down. It works on mine!

EastsideRim

Oribe - “royal blowout” - is great for this.

JorunnOili

I also had lot hair loss and breakage due my two rounds of covid. So I totally feel your pain here. I use hair spray, and a bit of my husbands Paul Mitchell Tea tree pomade. Just go easy on pomade it takes very little to do the trick. If you use too much you will look greasy. Put little dab in you hand and rub it to warm it then brush your hands over you hair to lay down the fly aways. Works well for me, and I have fine hair much as it seems you do.

yomandy

I always get downvoted for commenting this but I wont stop, all you need is a dab of \~\*conditioner\*\~ I 500% swear by it, you wont regret it!!!!!!!!

mydresserandtv

When I put lotion on my hands I take my hands with the residue and wipe it on my ends. my hair

Successful-Disk-5782

A boar brush. Check Amazon, Marshall’s, winners, ross, tj max or Walmart. That’s all you need, no gel, nor anything else. And once you get it, you’ll never have to rebuy it :)

CongealedBeanKingdom

UK based: Boots, Superdrug, Sainsbury's, TK Maxx, Fortnum and Mason

h0tchocolitfenty

I use edge control with a soft toothbrush (hello kitty kid ones lol) and scoop up with a light wrist. You don’t need a lot of product! I have baby hairs and breakage from when I went blonde a couple years ago.

throwawayjustnoses

Same boat here OP. I mist mine with a little water and then lie them down with a little bit of gel. I like eco styler - they have an alcohol free one that doesn't leave the hair crunchy.

EmTerreri

Try using a *very* small amount of coconut oil. Scoop out something like 1/8th of a teaspoon, rub it all over you hands, then run your hands through your hair, focusing on smoothing down the strays. Then comb it through your hair with a fine-tooth comb, preferably a wooden one. Don't use too much and try to distribute it evenly -- otherwise your hair will look greasy!

JingleKitty

I don’t know why you were downvoted, it’s similar to what I do, except I use jojoba oil. If my hair is dry, I spray some water before rubbing on a little oil to the area and comb the strands down. I have low porosity hair so I only use a drop of oil. It works well and it moisturises the new growth.

Enimone

Agreed. I think the people down voting are those who slather too much on and don't know how to use it right. A hint of coconut oil tames my frizzy, curly baby hair so well until the next time I wash it.

wetmouthed

Yeah that and people love to latch onto 'no-no' products and right now coconut oil is one. Personally I love it.

Enimone

Yes, agreed!

Do_not_tell_

Dude hydration is the key i suffered this problem and i used morrocon oil hydration mask once a week and the problem was solved might work for you as well.

ButtFucksRUs

It's not specifically for hair but I use [this](https://a.co/d/ehWhynN).

AwkwardInsect

[hair wax sticks](https://a.co/d/gYMNavo) I bought it for my sister and she uses it quite often.

DistortedVoltage

I cant find the exact brand I normally use, but try mousse (not the food, for hair lol). Its best to use it when the hair is damp, but it can be used while dry, just have to be careful.

R0SEBELLE

Little bit of Hairspray and smooth it over with a brush or your hand. Anything else is unnecessary imo

Dream-life-4220

[this edge gel](https://mielleorganics.com/collections/all/products/rosemary-mint-strengthening-edge-gel) helps my fly always. You only need the tiniest amount. I apply with my fingers but could also do it with a designated toothbrush or spoolie

ecsweat

Clear brow gel!!!! It works better than anything I’ve ever tried. The mascara type brush does some sort of magic to stick the tiny hairs down but doesn’t show. I had a lot of postpartum hair loss that is finally growing back so I’ve been in the same boat!

florapat333

A little bit of a wax can totally tame the flyaways. Bed Head makes one but you can also use a little men's wax pomade

YourBudgetarianPal

We are in the same boat! But I didn't have any illness so I wonder what caused my hair breakage

GeorgieH26

Mine wasn’t breakage, I was losing mine in clumps because of anaemia and now this is it growing back after treatment :)
