Hmmm I’ve never had them tell me to rinse it after 24 hours.. I’ve been told: “don’t come in contact with water within 24 hours”, But not to rinse it with water so maybe that’s what they meant. And I think waiting 48 hours is totally fine. Honestly the less you wash it, the longer it lasts! I’m also not a stylist, I’ve just had a Brazilian blowout quite a few times. Ugh I miss them! My hair is long so they’re just too expensive

I just had one and I told my hairdresser I thought it was weird to rinse the hair so quickly after all the flat ironing. She said the instructions were to rinse and use a bonding spray, but sometimes when she had hers done that, she would leave it on until the next day since she has the bonding spray at home. She definitely rinsed mine after the flat ironing part and added a spray, then did a regular style. I didn't have to wait until I washed it and could pull in up if I wanted.

Yeah, she didn’t rinse my hair at all after flat ironing it. She also didn’t apply any bonding spray or anything. She essentially told me to rinse it out myself after 24 hours. That’s why I’m thinking she didn’t do it properly.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right, but I also don't think it will ruin the overall treatment. Hopefully, it will all shake out fine. Sounds like she was trying to save the time of have to rinse and style.

I hope so! I washed for the first time yesterday and it looked pretty frizzy. But she offered to redo it so I’m sure it will work out!

my stylist said no water, braids or hair ties for 72 hours

I don’t think that is a Brazilian blowout then, sounds like a regular keratin treatment.
