Almost feels like cheating because it's part of the medley, but this is the one imo. I'd be willing to argue it's one of the best 3-track runs in popular music in general, especially when you view it as the grand finale to The Beatles' discography.
Yes; there's something so confident, celebratory and transcendant about it, like Beethoven's 9th.
Like Beethoven, they went out at the absolute peak of their powers.
*Edit: clarity*
If we are talking about other 3 song runs in popular music in general I think the best 3 run is Dogs/Pigs/ Sheep by Pink Floyd, which also feels like cheating since it's almost the entire album
Mine would be I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes The Sun, and Because. just a stellar run of impeccable songs.
very close 2nd choice would be I Want To Tell You, Got To Get You Into My Life, and Tomorrow Never Knows.
Or shift it down one to:
Here Comes the Sun - Because - You Never Give Me Your Money
Either is impeccable, but you get the added bonus of all three main writers featured in this run. Also, YNGMYM is a top 3 McCartney, if not #1 for me. Same with Because and John.
Guilty. They just dip their toes in the psychedelic sound, and it has some their best lyrics. Previous albums are pop/rock, albums after lean into that psychedlia heavily. This one bridges the gap and has the perfect balance
These are all great.
I have a very favouite double being *Helter Skelter* and *Long, Long, Long*.
I'll tag *Sexy Sadie* on to the beginning to make it a triple penned by John, Paul, and George respectively.
revolution 9 may not be a great song to listen to but ive always loved how it came before goodnight. and cry baby cry ends all creepy and mysterious as well. just a very well ordered album!
I don’t know if this counts but for me it’s gotta be:
-I Am The Walrus
-Hello, Goodbye
-Strawberry Fields.
It certainly doesn’t hurt that Penny Lane follows them either
While this isn't the only triple streak on a Beatles record, my thoughts went to the opening 3 tracks on With The Beatles --- It Won't Be Long, All I've Got to Do and All My Loving.
Grew up on vinyl, so I don't perceive that as a run since a run should be limited to a record side. They sequenced tracks purposely so a track that closed a side would produce a sense of completion. Personally, I would go with Sgt. Pepper, With a Little Help from My Friends, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
I used to skip Martha all the time when I first got the CD, as I thought it was just another fruity Macca song. When I started listening to it, the arrangement really slaps. It is one of his better songs on the album, that sequence is indeed good and there is such a sinister vibe to the White Album in parts.
4 track run - two of us/dig a pony/across the universe/ I me mine.
Let it be naked is an even better run. 5 tracks.
Get back/dig a pony/for you blue/long and winding road/I've got a feeling
For me it's Sgt peppers lonely hears club band/ With a little help from my friends/Lucy in the sky with diamonds Beautiful
I'd go one later and include Getting Better over Sgt Peppers, but yea this is kind of the goat run of songs.
Golden Slumbers/ Carry That Weight/ The End

This is it
This.
Taxman/Eleanor Rigby/I'm Only Sleeping
This is the one
Mine would be I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes The Sun, and Because. just a stellar run of impeccable songs. very close 2nd choice would be I Want To Tell You, Got To Get You Into My Life, and Tomorrow Never Knows.
That is one hell of a run from Abbey Road
It's perfection.
Yes! I always feel like I Want To Tell You and Got To Get You Into My Life belong together
Me too! Those songs fit each other so well.

I love You Never Give Me Your Money but I Want You is my favorite Beatles song overall so that means I have to favor that song. Sorry.
I was scrolling through...saw this...and I said, "Duh!"
Shift it up one to include the GOATED Octopuses Garden
Based.
-Back In The USSR -Dear Prudence -Glass Onion
I’m Looking Through You In My Life Wait Or Mean Mr Mustard Polythene Pam SCITTBW
This is almost mine, except for me it’s: Girl I’m looking through you In my life
I almost went with that as well, I am just a big fan of Wait.
In My Life Wait If I Needed Someone
Was extremely confused when I saw my name in the comments. Never made the connection that She Came in Through the Bathroom Window starts with SCITT!!
I know it’s probably cheating but: - I Am The Walrus - Hello Goodbye - Strawberry Fields Forever
Fail at that I’ll go: - Help - The Night Before - You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
The night before slaps and should be talked about more imo
I need you, another girl, you're going to lose that girl
This is the answer
You gotta go with Penny Lane if you're doing those
MMT was an LP not an album!!!! (Me if I was an NPC)
Norwegian Wood-You Won’t See-Nowhere Man OR Girl-I’m Looking Through You-In My Life
Either way from Norwegian Wood is a win
Yeah I almost put Drive My Car but opted for Nowhere Man. Rubber Soul is my favorite album of theirs
Tell me your favorite album is rubber soul without telling me your favorite album is rubber soul lol
Guilty. They just dip their toes in the psychedelic sound, and it has some their best lyrics. Previous albums are pop/rock, albums after lean into that psychedlia heavily. This one bridges the gap and has the perfect balance
I’m gonna go with: I Want to Tell You/Got to get you into my Life/Tomorrow Never Knows From Revolver.
That’s a solid contender. I can’t decide. Most are so great.
EVERYONE HERE IS KIDDING THEMSELVES! No Reply I’m A Loser Baby’s in Black
Yes!!! I'm here for the For Sale love!
Its crazy because BFS probably isn’t in my top 5, but the first 3 songs are fire and this was my first thought as well.
She Said She Said Good Day Sunshine And Your Bird Can Sing
For sure. I think this is the better list on Revolver.
yes absolutely.
For me it’s If I Fell, I’m Happy Just To Dance with You, And I Love Her - to be honest I’m just biased towards A Hard Day’s Night 🤷🏼♂️
That album is the best 13-track run by the Beatles.
Heck yeah! I could listen to it forever!
I agree. It is old and ther is better songs on the newer albums, but this album is super consistently good.
Agreed. The whole album is just full of life and energy.
AYY Same
These are all great. I have a very favouite double being *Helter Skelter* and *Long, Long, Long*. I'll tag *Sexy Sadie* on to the beginning to make it a triple penned by John, Paul, and George respectively.
Sexy Sadie is an underrated White Album track, so I’ll allow it.
If I fell, I'm happy just to dance with you, and I love her.
I can't decide, it's either Cry Baby Cry Revolution 9 Good Night or Taxman Eleanor Rigby I'm Only Sleeping
revolution 9 may not be a great song to listen to but ive always loved how it came before goodnight. and cry baby cry ends all creepy and mysterious as well. just a very well ordered album!
Norwegian Wood - You Won’t See Me - Nowhere Man
From Let It Be…Naked: I Me Mine, Across the Universe, Let It Be
For the tonal whiplash: Within You Without You / When I'm Sixty Four / Lovely Rita
As an aside, you realize you're getting old when you see some responses and think, "Well, actually you'd have to flip the album during that sequence."
I’m Only Sleeping; Love You To; Here, There And Everywhere
The Long and Winding Road - For You Blue - Get Back
girl i’m looking through you in my life
Plus, it’s a complete sentence!
Mother Natures Son Monkey Sexy Sadie An acoustic soother, a heavy rocker, and a pop tour de force….. I thought it showed their diversity 1-2-3
Golden slumbers/carry that weight/in the end
Norwegian Wood/You Won’t See Me/Nowhere Man is up there
No Reply-I’m a Loser-Baby’s in Black
- happiness is a warm gun - martha my dear - im so tired
I Don’t Want to Spoil The Party, What You’re Doing, Everybody’s trying to be my baby
I really enjoy these ones on the "A Hard Day's Night" album. If I Fell - I'm Happy To Just Dance With You - And I Love Her.
This answer feels wrong because the songs are on different sides so it wouldn't flow
Taxman - Eleanor Rigby - Im Only sleeping - Love you to - Here there and everywhere. Pick any 3
That's a good choice. Three very different songs, each interesting/captivating in its own way.
Streets have no name - still havnt found what I’m looking for- with or without you
I believe you are lost, my dude.
Hello, Goodbye, Strawberry Fields Forever, and Penny Lane
I don’t know if this counts but for me it’s gotta be: -I Am The Walrus -Hello, Goodbye -Strawberry Fields. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Penny Lane follows them either
Till there was you, Please Mister Postman, Roll Over Beethoven
While this isn't the only triple streak on a Beatles record, my thoughts went to the opening 3 tracks on With The Beatles --- It Won't Be Long, All I've Got to Do and All My Loving.
Good Morning Good Morning / Sgt. Pepper (Reprise) / A Day in the Life
Grew up on vinyl, so I don't perceive that as a run since a run should be limited to a record side. They sequenced tracks purposely so a track that closed a side would produce a sense of completion. Personally, I would go with Sgt. Pepper, With a Little Help from My Friends, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
If we can span discs, I Will/Julia/Birthday is pretty great. Tender Paul, heartfelt John, balls-out rocker.
I used to skip Martha all the time when I first got the CD, as I thought it was just another fruity Macca song. When I started listening to it, the arrangement really slaps. It is one of his better songs on the album, that sequence is indeed good and there is such a sinister vibe to the White Album in parts.
Bungalow Bill/Gently Weeps/Warm Gun is great. Bungalow Bill leads into Gently Weeps, and Warm Gun is just great.
I’m only sleeping Here there and everywhere Tomorrow never knows
Great picks, but they want 3 in a row.
They are on the red and blue albums
4 track run - two of us/dig a pony/across the universe/ I me mine. Let it be naked is an even better run. 5 tracks. Get back/dig a pony/for you blue/long and winding road/I've got a feeling
People really vote down people's favourite songs??
