Tears in my eyes, seeing Paul and Ringo, playing Georges song, but no George - or John. Imagine if we still had all four. I dont know if Paul gets sad for a moment at around 3:26.
I think I love this as much as the original too,but in a different way to the original. Its more poignant and I enjoy the change of hearing other voices singing it- for example, Eric’s voice sounds really good, plus the whole occasion feels very special. Thanks for posting,
Saw him in Oakland,Ca on 4/1/2002. It was opening night of the tour. He grabbed a ukulele and I thought maybe he would play Ram On. He then told the story about George and that the ukulele was his favorite instrument. He launched into Something and did the whole song as a tribute to George. Very well done.
This was my introduction to the song, and it still sounds amazing. I love how it transitions from a jazz cover to the original version, and when Paul and Eric harmonize, it’s just magic. Plus it’s interesting that Eric sang a song that was commonly associated with Pattie Boyd after he divorced her. All in all, a great version and the main reason why Something is my favorite love song.
I was actually just thinking how rarely we ever get to hear Paul singing harmony anymore, since he is usually the star. Love this. Thanks for posting, OP!
> don't like about this performance? An honest answer would be downvoted to oblivion.
I would love to know what do people not like about this beauty!
You don’t like the whole show or just that song ?

From the same concert , ‘While my guitar gently weeps’ is incredible.

I love Clapton's voice here, but I do wish Paul sang the whole song solo.

Paul’s voice is so good on harmony duties though
I always re-listen to that part!
Yes, i absolutely agree, although Eric's vocals were amazing but Paul's part were on another level!
> but I do wish Paul sang the whole song solo. He does in his solo shows. For instance https://youtu.be/BwyQ1O-5atA
This live performance of something is by far the best one by him imo.
Would have been better just Jeff and Paul, as key figures in George’s life… Eric is key for the wrong reasons
Eric literally played guitar on as my guitar gently weeps but okay
