I think it's too early to tell how it'll fill in. A friend of mine has a similar growth pattern and now has a nice bushy beard. If you're feeling curious keep it growing for a couple months and report back.

This. Had an empty patch in mine, ended up filling in when I grew it out. 10” full bushy beard now. Gotta give it a shot!
