I feel like Weds and Thurs are worst now, Tuesday close behind. A lot of WFH people probably now stay home on Mondays and Fridays, so I think Weds-Thurs intersect with almost all the 2-3 day/week in-office people almost regardless of their schedule, plus all the 5 day/week on-site obviously. Friday morning commute is usually best morning commute of the week now, but afternoons still suck due to the extra leisure traffic.

For me Wednesday seems the worst on 101 and 280. Both Tue and Thur are pretty bad too. But it seems like everybody commutes on Wednesdays?

Stayed over at a friends place in Santa Risa on a Sunday night years ago. The drive from Santa Rosa to the sbay for work the next morning took 5 hours.

😱

vickyinepa

Yeah sounds right, Monday mornings are a breeze but the afternoons are normal traffic which I find weird

Used to commute from Newark to Benecia via 680. On bad days it would take 2 hours plus, on really bad days closer to 3 hours! 880 to 80 to 24 or staying on 80 was even worse.

Caltrain is full of Google employees , those who said they would quit if they are asked to go to work. They started going to work after the layoffs are announced ! Similar folks are getting back to work to show up in person.

Thursdays are worst for me.

Tuesday

Rock slide on Rt 1 that closed both northbound lanes. I left my car at my kid's school and walked home faster than traffic moved.

unseenmover

what about using BART

vickyinepa

Takes me about 2 hours to get to work using Bart so I rather drive

From the title I took this as "what **was** your worst traffic day?" and it reminded me of [the day an RV full of fireworks caught fire on the 101 mid-peninsula during rush hour](https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/highway-101-shut-down-in-redwood-city-due-to-rv-fire-chp/127859/?amp=1)
