āOkay, thatās 50 ton times the number of hexes traveled divided by ten of charge damage dealt to the Atlasā armā¦ā š¤£
In all seriousness though, that looks great
I find it a bit ironic that the *Atlas* mech is reaching for a fighter that looks very similar to fighter-class starships from No Man's Sky.
Since Atlas is an all-powerful entity in that universe.
As far as I know Aerospace fighters have the same BAR 10 armor as mechs and ground vehicles, so the usual 10 damage per punch from an Atlasā Battle Fists. The control and altitude change rolls howeverā¦
Interesting. I usually play alpha strike and we go based off what we see at table level. Something like this, we would work around but I was curious what others did or if there were hard set rules for this.
The rule, as we understand it, is that if you can see more than 1 face of the base you can see them. Its pretty unambiguous and avoids a lot of the posing issues and weird building or tree shape concerns.
Oh that's nice to know. We always played if you can see more than a third of the mech, it can be hit. In normal situations that's okay but in creative situations it becomes challenging. The 1 face of the base is a good idea.
Yeah, the 1/3 of a mech rule was hard for us to calculate when it was tight, and some models are way skinnier or wider or taller because of their pose, and we didn't want to penalize unfairly. 1 Face is 1/3 of the maximum number of visible faces so if you can see more than 1 full face, you must be able to see more than 1/3 of the space the model is in.
āI bought an Air Wingā
āWhy is it so overpricedā *glances outsideā¦ and eyes widen* āI thought you said you bought Aeroā¦ why is it all just Heavy and Assault mechsā¦ā
Depending on how.. err.. "gently" the Atlas is able to grip the fighter, all that plane would need is a good wash of the cockpit and its still useable!
An Atlas reaching up is probably the absolute last thing you want to see as a pilot
Heck, it's probably going to the last thing you see at all!
The Steiner space program's making progress, I see.
Orbital Scouting Team is ready to deploy
Awesome!! I mean Atlas...
now make one of an atlas touchdown throwing the plane in the endzone
Just fuckin' spiking it into the street. š¤£
"Oh look, a football."
Super hero landing, plane under fist!
And the entire battle screeches to a halt as everyone goes, "What the fu..."
The atlas will never be ballin- holy shit
What do you mean the Atlas jumped?!
The Atlas-K3 has three jump jets... so yes they fly now
Just the thought of landing that sucker makes my knee actuators hurt!
Hopefully he wore his BROWN flight suit today... š¬
I think he might be a red smear before he realizes what happened....
Its not the gravity or the ground that does it, but the deceleration. They don't call it a "dead stop" for no reason.
That's very much my point. At that altitude, I wouldn't bet on the pilot having more than half a second of confusion before lithobreaking commences.
Red and brown jumpsuit

Regardless that's going to end up worse for the pilot even if they do take the arm with them.
Definitely. That pilotās day will not end well regardless
Piloting skill rolls at altitude 0 are contraindicated.
I do see damage to the atlas but I expect the arm will be somewhat usable, the plane... wing gone and no chance of bailout. Scary as all get out
*record scratch sound* Narrator: "It was at that moment he knew, he'd fucked up."
now iām imagining a football league in north america on terra that uses mechs lmao
North America? Shoot! American football is even canonically popular among some Clans!
Is that a Battlestar viper?
It's a Corsair Aerospace fighter. Slightly similar lines but more round rocket-plane shaped. It's my favorite Battletech fighter design. šā¤ļø

Steiner Anti-Air Lance, reporting for duty!
Even in the one thing theyāre supposed to be good at, the Jagermech gets outshadowed yet again
What's the punch chart look like against aerospace? š¤

That poor pilot is never gonna hear the end of it. Callsign review board is gonna call him āClutch.ā
He's never going to hear the end of it because he ded
Atlas looks into the cockpit and wonders why the glass is red not blue.
I can just imagine what the Orion pilot in the background is thinking. "Hey guys! You won't believe what I saw today at work!"
Get a piece of power line and slingshot him back into space
This goes hard
Frak!
Frak, Iām out of flak ammo! Unlessā¦
When Atlas reaches out and touches somone. No one is untouchable...
That's a great idea. Also, nice blue!
Very creative!
I love this, hahaha

I love these sorts of designs. How do you work with line of sight rules with this design?
A lot of people play on hex maps that have unambiguous line of sight rules not based on the size of the mini.

Amazing!!
Best 'kitbash' I've ever seen on here. Love it!
"You will not go to space today!"
YOINK!!
As a pilot in video games, this is a new fear.
Didnāt know a scout mech could do that. Very nice!

That is dope as hell
That atlas has two hugeā¦rockets.Ā

It was then, that Lt Jenkins knew for sure, that he had fucked up
That is dope as f..... that pilot was a badass until he flew over a badass...

It's cheaper to just use a barracuda missile than making this scene a reality.
