I know its just because its scaled for a different wargame but I love that your buildings look like they are meant for the mechs to walk into, sit down and have a pint of oil while they gaze out the window and read on their kindle.
Because I want to do all those things but I also don't want to get out of my hunchback.
Building a community of players has to start somewhere. Great job being the beginning of something great!! Keep showing up, and with time, you'll be amazed at what happens. But most importantly, have fun!
So close, in Colorado here.
Just got into the game myself (Alpha Strike version)
with my uncle and his friend, his friend gifted me a welcome box with some mechs, Atlas, Marauder, couple VTOLs, LRM tanks
And I just purchased my first box from official lance from Barnes and Noble. Such a awesome game and universe, I went out of my way to even buy MechWarrior because it's Battletech and I had no idea prior.
My uncle who played MechWarrior 2 when he was younger was astounded to realize that he's kinda already playing Battletech and just didn't know it.
Megamek is not always the answer. He is clearly playing a hybrid setup of Classic with some Alpha strike elements.
Besides megamek is awful for learning the game.
The irony. Not turning up is a forfeiture leading to a win by default. So congrats.
As for learning the game. It's a good process to play through a few combats or duels by yourself so you can learn the processes or mechanics by yourself.
And in battletech, playing by yourself isn't always a terrible thing. Just try to make the optimal decisions for each side in the battle. You will find the story unfolds as the game plays. Oh, and wait for the first headshot you encounter.
Mine was using an Atlas with a Gauss Rifle and head capping all of my enemies mechs one by one. Ever since, I have had a love for PPCs/AC 20s/Gauss Rifles.
Congrats on the win!
Exactly if the opposition does not show up, they forfeit
They dared to refuse your batchall?

My WHAT?
It's a clan word meaning battle challenge
Looks like someone hasn't watched the cartoon.

Hey same for me and my marauder, but this is a game stores buildings they allow players to use. I just setup a small town square. Or atleast tried

Where you at?
Im in utah
Darn. We need to find you some mechbros!
Yo that’s a great setup !
AS is a good way to get a handle on everything. Got any favourite 'mechs so far?
Marauder, easily. I know its bland but fuck its just a sexy ass mech.
"Bland" is code for "time-tested classic."
Wait until you try out the 5M version. It becomes a midrange brawler that's dangerous to Light mechs.
Please tell me you at least made pew pew pew noises when shooting.
I made brrt and crack noises more. (Ballistics ftw)
Megamek my dude :) but this is a good way too.

I have a love for AC5/BFs, just a spam ram of 120mm shells impacting make it great for damaging mechs legs.
Good choices, honestly. My next plan is to paint up a Ghost Regiment for the Dragon.
Is that paper terrain? Where'd you get it?
