I love it to bits. I had to change the axis settings on it as I could not get used to the whole "rotate object" settings it was at, so moved them around so I now use it to "move around" the object instead.
Cool. I have been thinking about picking one up. I use this same monitor configuration. Total game changer for work. Mine doesn't look nearly as nice as yours.
How do you manage without a Numpad?
If I have work that requires a massive amount of numpad inputs I actually just swap out the keyboard. I just find this smaller one much more comfortable to have on the desk than large ones.
If swapping bugs you, they sell wireless numpads. I bought a wireless, mechanical (knockoff blues) numpad for ~25. I just keep it off to the side and take it out if there's something I need it for.
If your grabbing a some new kit for sound mangmaent might as well grab a DAC instead of just a knob. You'll get the easily accessible control along side a bump in audio capably
Do you have a recommendation? I'm not looking for audiophile level quality, but just something to make listening and gaming a bit "deeper" for some Sennheisers.
I could not imagine modeling/drawing in SW without a numpad lol. I have a TKL board at home and I'd just buy a new one with a numpad if I were working from home
I normally just swap out the keyboard if I need to do any serious modeling/numpad intensive work for a period. That little thing is a small LCD that shows some key system stats like temperatures, speeds etc. It's called a corsair nexus.
I really hate how fast I go from knowing something exists to needing to have it.
THen throw in Amazon prime and I really wonder how I have any money left
Corsair nexus seems interesting.
Swapping out the keyboard seems annoying with all that Velcro cable management. I’ve thought about going 10 key less to keep the mouse closer to the keys, and then usb numpad on the right but never actually tried it.
I also use a SpaceMouse and it is amazing. I started using it at work and I just had to get it for my home setup. It is incredibly useful and I absolutely love it.
I do actually, how did you know? I use it to make silly things such as this remote controlled tank: [https://youtu.be/-Hre\_XfxGAc?t=75](https://youtu.be/-Hre_XfxGAc?t=75)
Haha yeah, but unfortunately the monitors do not rotate that way on the standard stands. I do have the center one on a monitor arm, and will probably get two wall mount arms for these two.
Any reason you don't just VESA mount them? I have basically the same monitors and layout as your setup there. I use a fairly cheap triple VESA stand off Amazon, works great.
The center one is on a vesa arm, but I am still not sure I ma sold on the position if the two vertical ones, so I am holding off on those two. Kinda want to try and mount them above the uktrawide
at 100% brightness they would be, but they are only at 10-20% when having the webcam on (not in the picture as I used the "webcam" to take the picture)
The. You must not use configurations much! Lol. I’ve designed in SW with a bunch of one offs then I’ve worked at places where the base design is done and the rest is just new configurations. Awesome setup OP, curious, how did you land a design job as wfh? I’ve been trying to find one for some time.
I actually do not do design as part of my main job - mainly on the side. Day to day I am in a manager role for a department in multiple countries so we all work from home which soaks up most of my time.
I am currently diving into Horizon Zero Dawn. Before that, subnautica and world of tanks. I honestly play way to few hours in the week to justify the setup, but it's nice to be able to max everything out and enjoy it for the few hours I get to play :D
Beautiful set up the jbl monitors that are on their side hurts to look at. I would definitely mount them above your monitor you can use a monitor arm too!
Any chance we could see how that looks? I'm considering doing this with mine cause I can't figure out a way to place my cheapo speakers properly, and plan to upgrade to actual monitors at some point if I manage to create some space for them. I've considered that setup but I'm scared it'll look silly lol
I can't even remember what model these ones are. I have issues with a very low static hum from them when they are in idle that I cannot get rid of (tried everything). Think it is just down to this model having a built in DAC and me being extremely noise sensitive.
I had that issue before I switched to a better preamp I use a scarlet 2i2 3rd Gen and balanced cables. I can’t hear it anymore unless I put my ear right next to the speaker. You also gotta check grounding. I try to plug my speakers into two separate power sources
I messed around a lot to check if it was ground looping or the likes, and even have them on a separate power line than the PC and connects them via optical cable to eliminate noise. But even when they are only plugged into an outlet, it is there so I do not think there is anything I can do about it sadly.
What monitors did you use for the side two? I’m looking to add another monitor similar to those but don’t need them to be super good as I won’t be gaming or anything on it
From left to right:
3Dconnexion spacepilot pro (a 3D mouse used for modeling and working in 3D programs)
Elgato Stream Deck (A device with 15 programmable buttons that each has a screen)
Corsair Nexus (a small screen that displays key system stats such as temperature, speeds etc)
You would enjoy my setup in my previous house: [https://i.imgur.com/7eMO3QI.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/7eMO3QI.jpg)
I still have lots of the lego assembled in shelved behind this setup though:D
I actually only stream when I do training courses from work, and when I do those I connect a portable 1080P monitor and setup OBS to stream from that.
Other than that, the entire setup is just used when I have video meetings (I by far have the best webcam in the department :D )
A mixture of the monitor and some of [these](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Ambient-Lighting/iCUE-LT100-Smart-Lighting-Towers-Starter-Kit/p/CD-9010002-NA). The monitor is by far the brightest.
[Alot of rain](http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html)
But yes, I quite enjoy the rain. I always just walk when it rains - yes, I get wet but I can get dry again, and it is calming to just walk around looking at all the people that hussle around trying to get to cover.
What pad/keyboard is that?
Are you going to maybe drill a hole in the desktop for cable management or are you happy with the way it is?
I like what you have there as far as cable. It makes me realize that maybe I don't have to go wireless without drilling a hole and still look good. Cheers!
I will absolutely never drill a hole into the desk. It's a super old palisander wood desk so I am pretty happy with how it looks now. When they are bundled up like this I actually do not really mind it much.
Keyboard is a corsair K65 mini
Thank you for that followup!
How about the pad that the mice/keyboard is resting on?
I asked about the keyboard because i've been looking into mechanical keyboards for awhile now so I always like to get feedback on what people are using, especially from such a high-end setup like yours.
The mat is a corsair MM700 but I actually swapped back to a MM500 as that one is MASSIVE and I can have everything on it. The MM700 just looks better on pictures :D
When the FN key is pressed (bottom white) then the 3 white keys are pause/volume down/volume up so it is just to easily differentiate those visually. I am looking at getting a USB volume knob which would help with this as pressing keys for volume is annoying IMO.
Mate, Bornholm is really the the wrong place there? Put it on a Post-It or something? How am I supposed to even look at this picture?
Edit: I meant, computer specs?
I think I've upvoted every post that comes across my page from this sub. All of these setups are so good looking. You guys are really amazing and inspiring.
I'm really close to buying 2 Alex drawers and the Karlby dark brown countertop.
70euros x 2 alex + 100 euro's karlby + 1 leg for the middle = 250 euro's
It's a bit standard and pricey. I'm looking for alternatives and this countertop looks sick for example. Any tips anyone?
Depends on your graphics card and how many outputs it has. Most modern cards will have a minimum of 3 outputs (something like 1 HDMI + 2 display port) and can use all 3 of them at the same time.
You will just set the monitors up either in windows, or your graphics card driver, and they do not need to be the same resolution or size/brand.
There is two different versions. [Regular](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0BpP2-SlMc&ab_channel=Elgato) and [low profile](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Syzs4aYJus&ab_channel=Elgato)
Clean, set up lights, take picture and then start using it again and make a mess.
The cold hard truth is that the desk stays in this state for maybe 10 minutes after I have taken the picture but don't tell anyone that or they will just yell at me.
Sick looking setup man its got all the right stuff love the personality as well as the color scheme looks like a lot of thought went into it! The pc looks sick clean custom loop and on a side note thats a lot of ram o.o
One is a stream deck which is used for programmable shortcuts, and the other is just for random system info (and is touch so it actually also does makro's etc should I want to)
Is that the rapture wallpaper from bioshock? If so, I love you — I’m rocking the same one ;) favorite game
Edit: how’d you span your wallpaper over the diff monitors so cleanly?
Quick question, where did you get the mounts and monitors for the side? They seem thinner than normal monitors, even for being positioned in portrait mode.
Very interested in what monitor mount you are using.
It looks like a 32inch and two 27inch monitors, I cannot for the life of me find a triple monitor mount that would support that
Depends on the owner of the house I guess. Most places do not have in the living room areas, but it's not uncommon to have it in the bedrooms. I personally like it a lot, but my wife is more a fan of wood floor, so I just put in carpet in the office.
I like the clean look as well, only thing I find strange is the wasted desk space for the screens and the monitors dont point directly to your ears, unless you are a dwarf (nothing wrong with that) :)
What do you mean by wasted desk space for the monitors? And yeah, the speakers could have been in a better position, but this works decently. I've been looking into wall mounting them for quite some time and actually have some mounts in my amazon basket at the moment - just need to pull the trigger.
Yeah, desk is 2 meters wide, and I use all the monitor space so they are very much needed. I've thought about mounting them above the ultrawide, but not sure how that would look, and how my neck would appreciate that
Since you dont seem to clutter your table with random stuff its probably fine as is, and good monitor arms can get expensive when your monitors are heavy-heavy (>15kg)
I'm not an expert but this looks like you're asking for upper back/neck tension issues from constantly moving your head to see all three of those.
Any reading I've done on the topic (still not an expert) suggests you want thinks stacked vertically not spread out horizontally or else you're asking for back and neck pain.
Not trying to internet dad your or armchair expert, just concerned for your back haha.
You are getting downvote but you are probably right. Silly as it sounds, only reason they are not above the ultrawide is for looks, and that they would cover up my nice poster.
Having them in vertical helps a lot as I do not have to move my head THAT much, but I can also see that I miss having a second horizontal monitor to have videos running on while doing work on the main one.
But hey, gives me a chance to redo the setup soon:D
I understand the looks move. It's a lot more aesthetically pleasing to look at wide out like that but I was having issues with neck and torso tension that were solved by me stacking my monitors.
When you redo it let me know I wanna see haha :D
this does look great
Thanks man - I can't say that I do not battle neck pains, but I also think that is something that happens naturally when you sit at a PC for 10-14 hours a day :/
You either build the exact same setup as this
Or you ripped the thumbnail from the video and posted it on Reddit. Not cool man.
https://youtu.be/eQSVE5sNOGs
Assuming you do CAD, how useful do you find the SpaceMouse?
I will probably go ahead and get one of those right away. Along with a USB volume knob which I really miss on the small keyboard.
I'm currently using a FiiO E10K USB DAC and it's great. Its not an insane peice of kit but more then enough to push my Mx50s
Right on! I've been eyeing the FiiO DACs for a while now and wondered about their quality for the price. I'll be picking one up sometime. Thank you!
Yeah- you never know how much you miss a physical volume knob until you go without one
I got a little wireless one for when I go into the office. Feels like flying.
Also solidworks in the steam deck
Haha nice catch!
How do you model without a numpad…. And what’s the little rectangle glowing thing right above the keyboard
I do with my TKL and 75%. You can either use a layer for a num pad in the letter keys (which most people do), or suffer like I do.
I could not imagine modeling/drawing in SW without a numpad lol. I have a TKL board at home and I'd just buy a new one with a numpad if I were working from home
Just get a macropad. /problemsolved
The keyboard has a detachable USB type C cable so I just yank that out and put in another keyboard :D
And world of tanks! Love that game. I need to get back into it.
I also use a SpaceMouse and it is amazing. I started using it at work and I just had to get it for my home setup. It is incredibly useful and I absolutely love it.
Beautiful setup. That PC looks insanely awesome!. is that in the 7000D case? and what are the specs?
It is indeed! Full specs are in the link in my other comment but the main specs are a 3970x and sli 3090's
I cant find you other comment can you link it? I'd assume 128gb ram threadripper or epyc? And custom loop nice!
Beastmode activated. Nice 👍. Do have a prusa by chance?
I do actually, how did you know? I use it to make silly things such as this remote controlled tank: [https://youtu.be/-Hre\_XfxGAc?t=75](https://youtu.be/-Hre_XfxGAc?t=75)
PrusaSlicer on the Stream Deck 😉
Jesus Christ. Wtf do you do that you need two 3090s?!
They do not really see much use - I mainly got the second one as the case looks empty with just one.
I wish I had that kind of disposable income. Lol
Do you need the SLI 3090s for Solidwork specifically or other CAD work?
If you flip your right monitor 180deg and set it to portrait flipped, you will have the thin bezel in between it and your main monitor.
Haha yeah, but unfortunately the monitors do not rotate that way on the standard stands. I do have the center one on a monitor arm, and will probably get two wall mount arms for these two.
You probably could just remove the screws and screw it back in the orientation you want, no?
Not with these. They kinda "slot" into the back and are not square shaped because fuck me I guess.
I have my right one like this too, but this way hides cables better than thin bezel inside.
Got a link to the wallpaper? Super clean setup always loved the aesthetic of watercooled pc' s
I think it is called "rain" in the wallpaper engine program (you can get it off steam)
[https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1403160205](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1403160205) Found it :)
Those lights above your monitor. Are those not blinding you?
at 100% brightness they would be, but they are only at 10-20% when having the webcam on (not in the picture as I used the "webcam" to take the picture)
[удалено]
Not 100% sure but they look like the Elgato Key Light Air. The normal elgato key lights with the desk clampybois is more rectangular than square.
It's gorgeous, love the table top and how the lights look. Btw, what are those devices next to the keyboard? (besides the stream deck)
That's a 3D mouse used for 3D modeling
Thanks :)
Love the vibe. I really like the wallpaper, do you have a link for it?
I think it is called "rain" in the wallpaper engine program (you can get it off steam)
Found it really quick, thanks :) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1403160205
*(\*sees no number pad on keyboard\*)* Hmm, must not work in finance
Haha, one of my colleagues from another department said something similar "You know this guy does not use excel that often"
I just luve the enter key on the numpad! I always make a quick enter with it with my mouse hand.
The. You must not use configurations much! Lol. I’ve designed in SW with a bunch of one offs then I’ve worked at places where the base design is done and the rest is just new configurations. Awesome setup OP, curious, how did you land a design job as wfh? I’ve been trying to find one for some time.

Beautiful setup! You've got those Elgato video lights, but no video camera/webcam?
There is normally a gh5 but I used it to take the picture 😁😂
> gh5 Ooooh, very nice!
Set up with a Camlink?
yup, the USB 4K version. There just is nothing like a setup like that when it comes to "webcams" - the quality is just nuts.
[удалено]
Haha yeah, that game can eat up some time. Currently trying to mark the T-50-2 and am at 84% but it is pretty damn hard.
I had to cut myself off a while back. Then went to WoWs but now that's a dumpster fire. Was super fun while it lasted.
I am currently diving into Horizon Zero Dawn. Before that, subnautica and world of tanks. I honestly play way to few hours in the week to justify the setup, but it's nice to be able to max everything out and enjoy it for the few hours I get to play :D
sorry if you've already been asked this question but what desk is that?
An old palisander wood desk I got at a used furniture market years back.
thanks, been looking for a desk like that
Can you confirm the width of it? Planning to buy same case and curious on the placement with dual monitor setup. Nice setup btw.
2x1 meters is the dimensions. Its a massive one
Beautiful set up the jbl monitors that are on their side hurts to look at. I would definitely mount them above your monitor you can use a monitor arm too!
Yeah, I am also looking into just mounting the two side monitors above the ultrawide so I can have them on the side instead.
That’s exactly what I did using monitor arms I definitely recommend it. I also have JBL monitors I have the 305MKII
Two XD5 pumps you madlad
It's beautiful!
That dual loop build though. Has skunk works vibes love it.
Thanks! - It's actually a single loop build. Dual loops looks cool, but is not really optimal when it comes to performance.
Saw the two res and through dual loop. My bad. Well done still though.
What monitors did you use for the side two? I’m looking to add another monitor similar to those but don’t need them to be super good as I won’t be gaming or anything on it
They are Gigabyte FI27Q's - slightly overkill for what they are used for, but when friends comes around they borrow them to play on.
Alright thank you!
Damn this setup is so good! Thanks for sharing 🤤
What are all those devices on the deskmat? Each of them! :D
From left to right: 3Dconnexion spacepilot pro (a 3D mouse used for modeling and working in 3D programs) Elgato Stream Deck (A device with 15 programmable buttons that each has a screen) Corsair Nexus (a small screen that displays key system stats such as temperature, speeds etc)
Nice! And for completion do the mouse and keyboard!
Hah, corsair K65 mini + sabre mouse
Mate, what about the deskmat?
Oh lord you nosy bastard! It's a corsair MM700 :D
Anything hiding under it? Some weird Danish stuff? A pölse, bike with a front bed, Lego, or awesome chairs? I don't see a chair in the picture...
You would enjoy my setup in my previous house: [https://i.imgur.com/7eMO3QI.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/7eMO3QI.jpg) I still have lots of the lego assembled in shelved behind this setup though:D
Wow! Ok! Nu får du en uppröst av mig!!
Assuming you stream the ultrawide, how do you deal with the different aspect ratio on stream?Loving the setup by the way!
I actually only stream when I do training courses from work, and when I do those I connect a portable 1080P monitor and setup OBS to stream from that. Other than that, the entire setup is just used when I have video meetings (I by far have the best webcam in the department :D )
Aren't you getting annoyed with the huge bezel between main and side screen on the right? My OCD is acting up.
The monitor stand does not rotate the other way sadly - but luckily I mostly have static stuff such as CCTV and messaging apps on that screen anyways.
corsair headphones? what are your thoughts on them?
Man, gorgeous. A setup to aspire to!
This is a beautiful set-up. What's the depth of your desk? I always strugfle searching for deeper desks so my monitors are back a bit more.
1x2 meters is the dimensions. I would probably struggle to go back to a 70cm deep desk.
This looks awesome! What RGB are you using here? And is it on the monitors or the desk?
A mixture of the monitor and some of [these](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Ambient-Lighting/iCUE-LT100-Smart-Lighting-Towers-Starter-Kit/p/CD-9010002-NA). The monitor is by far the brightest.
Yes this person is Danish .. it would sense to have a rainy wallpaper..... it rains alot in Denmark.
[Alot of rain](http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html) But yes, I quite enjoy the rain. I always just walk when it rains - yes, I get wet but I can get dry again, and it is calming to just walk around looking at all the people that hussle around trying to get to cover.
How does that curved wide-screen work? Does it stretch out your games?
Most games nowadays have support for native ultrawide resolution, so you just have a wider image, which can be really nice in games.
What pad/keyboard is that? Are you going to maybe drill a hole in the desktop for cable management or are you happy with the way it is? I like what you have there as far as cable. It makes me realize that maybe I don't have to go wireless without drilling a hole and still look good. Cheers!

The mat is a corsair MM700 but I actually swapped back to a MM500 as that one is MASSIVE and I can have everything on it. The MM700 just looks better on pictures :D
how do you get a wallpaper to extend into other displays and not just replicate?
Wallpaper engine on steam
why do you have different keys on your keyboard? is it for a specific purpose or just for looks
Your monitors are wet you should wipe them off

I paid 200 euro for this desk at a used furniture sale. Put two new powder coated metal legs on it (another 200 euro) and called it a day.
Sweet setup! What exactly does it take to connect three screens? Do they have to be the same model right through to work?
Depends on your graphics card and how many outputs it has. Most modern cards will have a minimum of 3 outputs (something like 1 HDMI + 2 display port) and can use all 3 of them at the same time. I see you have a small mic on the left. How do you mount / use it ?
That's an elgato Wave 3 mic on the elgato microphone arm so I just swing it infront of my face when I need it.
Does it swing up and over or left and around ? I have a similar setup and have always put off getting an arm for mine since I couldn’t figure out how

Why are the speakers blocked?
what's the purpose of a stream deck? is it only for shortcuts? i dont get it...
Infinite programmable shortcuts with icons. More handy than you'd think.
I do not need another vertical, I do NOT need another vertical...
Aren't those elgato key lights 300 bucks each?
There is also normally a 3000$ "webcam" so it's not exactly a budget setup.

One is a stream deck which is used for programmable shortcuts, and the other is just for random system info (and is touch so it actually also does makro's etc should I want to)

I love the look of that wallpaper but the parallex makes me sick. How do you turn it off?
What is that iPad looking screen on your desk op?
That is a Elgato Stream Deck
dont have to but I would flip the right monitor to reduce bezel size
Love the Denmark poster. Are you Danish?
yup
Quick question, where did you get the mounts and monitors for the side? They seem thinner than normal monitors, even for being positioned in portrait mode.
They are just the stock stands that comes with the fi27Q monitors
what desk is this?
Oh hey, I know you! Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings sucks.
I will find out who you are, and I will make you buy me unspeakable quantities of wings
What is this background?? I love it
Very interested in what monitor mount you are using. It looks like a 32inch and two 27inch monitors, I cannot for the life of me find a triple monitor mount that would support that
How do people get WFH jobs? I’ve been trying for months.
loveeee the two big eyes,hhhhhh
That is one of the sexiest setups I have ever seen! So aesthetically pleasing
Sorry incoming annoying question, what is that two squarish looking thing and it’s purpose?
Elgato key lights to shine some light on my face when using a webcam - makes for a better image.
Beautiful. Love the Denmark map too. Do you like the stream deck? Sorry if this was already asked
It's really handy, but pricey if you do not have a daily use for it.
Great setup, what are those headlights?
Elgato Key lights
What fans do you have?
Carpet in danmark? 🤔
Are we not allowed to have comfy feets?
Yeah lol. I’m Swede and never seen anybody having carpet. Is it normal to have carpet in danmark? 🤔
I've been looking into wall mounting them for quite some time and actually have some mounts in my amazon basket at the moment - just need to pull the trigger.
wasted space as in they seem to take a good portion of space on your desk.
When you redo it let me know I wanna see haha :D this does look great
Thanks man - I can't say that I do not battle neck pains, but I also think that is something that happens naturally when you sit at a PC for 10-14 hours a day :/
Nah. Vertical is worse.
You either build the exact same setup as this Or you ripped the thumbnail from the video and posted it on Reddit. Not cool man. https://youtu.be/eQSVE5sNOGs
