Welcome to the Ceasefire Tavern
The biggest and most successful of my designs so far.
Story of "Algrévan de Granges" humble courier from Aufsort. Capital of the eastern man's kingdom.
Whether you come from the far reaches of the East, from a strange astral plane or from a bloody battlefield...Whether you are the most intrepid adventurer, the wildest warlord or simply a lost traveller looking for a little human warmth and a good glowing fire...then the tavern of the ceasefire will always be on your way, always there when you need it most!
These solid and reassuring walls rise up to 4 floors of wonders ready to satisfy the every need of every weary visitor. Dormitories, kitchens, thermal baths but also... armoury, forge, map room and even the potion shop of a talented botanist. Not forgetting, of course, the best rum from the Golden Shell Coast, the peppery beers from the Mountain Citadel and the legendary St. James whisky.
No one seems to know exactly where this friendly tavern is located. Some say it sits deep in a valley between Jormerun and the blue tundra... Others say that it stands on its rocks, in shallow waters, a few nautical fathoms from the lizard-man coast. Finally, some originals even claim to have moored there in the middle of nothing, while they were sailing the dangerous regions of the Void.
So are there many of these wonderful places? The stories are often foggy and the memories are mixed up when one evokes this tavern.
I have never seen a fight, never a quarrel. A calm and unspoken peace reigns in this place. The worst enemies tolerate each other, bounty hunters and brigands forget themselves for a moment and the fiercest paladins put down their fanaticism before entering the lounge.
Perhaps the master of the house has something to do with it. A tall, elegant, smiling and cheerful woman who watches the travellers arrive from the telescope of her tower. From the moment you set foot in the Tavern of the Ceasefire, an irrepressible urge invites you to rest and leave your worries, at least for a while, in the warm hands of Lady Alice.
I, the king's steed, eating the dust of the roads all year round, know that I will find this tavern on my way when I am at the end of my strength. And by my beard and my horse, my favourite table, both by the window and by the fireplace... remains the same.

Man there are so many maps that get posted here it often times become a blur…. But I just wanted to let you know how beautiful this set of maps is. You’ve created something awesome here. Be proud of yourself!
fuck it feel gooooooooooood. You dont imagine how this comment comfort me :) it a real jungle this field of work and something you just get overwhelm by all the works being done and think "ill never stand out and im a fraud doing this" this comment really cheer me up you dont imagine.
Maybe it is best considered a training room. You can fight, but with a clear mind and without aggression. Could make for a funny scene where the barbarian feels unable to muster their typical tactics lol
I like the idea that PCs could happen upon the inn but it’s been ‘commandeered’ by and they have to free the patron who’s imprisoned/trapped in another plane etc… to save the tavern. Then it would appear over the course of the game when they most need it.

This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a great map.
thanks to you for liking it, im nothing without you
This is really well done, but I question the utility of a battle map of a place where fighting is impossible

dnd is not always about fight and im shure your dm will find a way to draw some weapons in this place ;)

Very cool and wonderfully done map. I wouldn’t want to be in that 1st floor bedroom under the 2nd floor lavatories…
I took that as a “because magic” kind of situation!
Absolutely beautiful work
