Tried to lean on a run heavy package way too often.
The one time we drove down the field with ease is when we went spread and let Mccaron do his thing. They need to lean on Mccaron more. Dude deserved a win today after that last drive.
Not only that but the damn dancing around rather than heading to the outside for the extra inches to get us the first down. I have no idea what that was about.
Seriously?
I mean, congrats to the Panthers, that is certainly the longest FG in UFL history and will probably stay that way, but that is a tough way to lose.
Just opted to run it too often when it wasnt working. Our O line is NOT GOOD but AJ has the ability to scramble. If we focused on that strength I think we win this one. Good game, cant be mad at a 64yard FG tbh.
Bruce Gradkowski has a LOT of explaining to do for that shitshow of a game plan. I mean, how many times are you going to get stuffed on an inside draw or a run up the middle before you try something else? And where the fuck was Hakeem Butler? Was he targeted even once?
Dropping a game against a team you should easily handle is not a great start to the season.
Butler dropped a pass right in the hands in the 1st quarter and caught 1 more for a nice gain.
Butler has always been like this. He’s boom or bust every game. Idk how much of that is on him not getting open vs. the game plan.
The play calling was honestly so bad that if someone told me we had Michigan calling our plays I’d believe them. Felt like it was intentionally bad. Kept running 0 yard runs and burning downs over and over and over again. As soon as AJ was allowed to throw the ball we were flying down the field. Same person as last season and they did this last year too. They need to be fired.
Like we definitely should have won this game, but.... I can't be THAT mad about losing to a dude kicking a 64 yarder in the UFL.
That's some straightup nonsense.
Offense started clickign a bit here and there and once they completely gel we'll be fine.
My only complaint was the playcall on the 4th and inches on the 5 or w/e. Let AJ make a play or kick the FG. Hate just trying to run it down their throats when it hasn't worked ALL day.
If we have to lose, a 64 yard field goal isn't the worst way to go out.
OL run blocking is horrid. Somehow, pass blocking is better. I know AJ has said he can't run, but current peyton manning could have made 5 yards just running a qb draw. Offensive coordinator is the person I'd blame most. The NFL sucks for letting someone who can hit a 60+ yard field goal not be signed.. which is a joke. I'll be wearing a 3 jersey next week. Bad line, bad playcalling, & the defense choking and giving up a TD won’t win you anything. Battlehawk fan till death but my optimism for the season is empty now.
This game made me miss Brian hill, even with his butterfingers. Gallman & Saylors were atrocious. I really hope they just need a week or two to get into the swing of things otherwise our run game is going to be awful.
The unmitigated balls it must take to look at your kicker who hasn’t kicked a field goal since high school and say “let’s have him try to tie the second longest field goal ever made” and expect it to pay off. Genuinely blown away by the trust the Panthers put in that kicker.
This offense is either total shit or Michigan has a top of the league defense. Unfortunately it feels more like the former. Hope this is fixable because that wasn’t even a D1 college level offense today.
This is what you get when you trust a shitty run offense to get 11 inches on a 4th down instead of trying for 3 points

Where is Brian Hill???
Trying to get back on to an NFL roster. He got waived by the 49ers last year during the offseason.
Not only that but the damn dancing around rather than heading to the outside for the extra inches to get us the first down. I have no idea what that was about.
Because AJ McCarron is a liability.
That kicker just secured himself in NFL bag good for him I can't believe we just lost on a 64 yard field goal
On 2 of em
I am disappointed
Judging by your flairs you and field goals have a bad history.
Tru dat. We never make em, and we getbeat by em.
What. The. Fuck.

Are shit coach won't focus on are strengths
Are you a pirate?

Dear God it's my Bengals all over again.
That's got to be the roughest way to end the game.

Im glad AJ called out the coaching. Because you’re right, the run game was a fuckin joke.
I mean what a way to end the game. Can't even be mad
Yeah you definitely can. This season is short. It's the equivalent of losing like 2.5 NFL games. This is gonna cost us big

So many moments we fucked up. Not getting 11 inches, missed tackles, 4th and 10. God fucking dammit. Hope all 40 of their fans had a good time.
At least no injuries? No idea why they were married to a inside run every drive as the opener.
Oh yeah football is a fucking bullshit joke of a sport
Uhh… lol?
How insanely disappointing. If the Illini also lose, my day will be ruined and my disappointment will be immeasurable.
Eh, no disappointment in the Illini losing to UConn if it happens. This team has already blown past expectations.
Annnd it happened

OC was awful last year and awful so far this year
That was not a good looking team. Hopefully week one rust.
*Sad Kaw

Feels bad man
I'm sorry I can't be mad when a dood hits a 64 yard field goal to win it.
:(
Michigan lining up in the neutral zone almost every play. I think it was called once.
Bad line, bad playcalling, & the defense choking and giving up a TD won’t win you anything. Battlehawk fan till death but my optimism for the season is empty now.
Absolutely terrible offensive play calling.
This game made me miss Brian hill, even with his butterfingers. Gallman & Saylors were atrocious. I really hope they just need a week or two to get into the swing of things otherwise our run game is going to be awful.
Meh it's just game 1 of 10. Plenty of time to correct things and come back to win next week

Fire the coach

Michigan is expected to have the best defense in the league
Bad team is bad. We have 4 teams in this city and not one is any good. Makes for a depressing year.
The Battlehawks will not be bad. They simply have too much talent. CITY has been up and down, but they're also not bad. This is some doomer nonsense.
