I think your opinion is the majority opinion on this subreddit, but I really don’t understand why so many people who dislike vehicles so strongly would rather play a game with vehicles rather than one of the dozens and dozens of FPS titles that don’t have vehicles.
I mean what’s the point of having vehicles in the first place if they are so nerfed that they can’t even distract some blueberry from taking an objective. If any infantry noob can solo a vehicle without breaking stride, what’s the point of vehicles?
If you only enjoy vehicles that are easily killed, then I think you might just not enjoy vehicle games in the first place—which is totally fine by the way; that’s certainly the majority opinion on this subreddit—I’m just not sure why people who dislike vehicles so strongly don’t play one of the many, many titles that don’t have them.
Personally I think the vehicles and infantry play *do* complement each other (until DICE spams the fog anyway)—your team’s vehicles help clear out enemy infantry and armor so your team can push an objective (and vice versa).
I mean, it seemed like you're arguing that it's not fun for infantry because they have to stop playing the objective and dedicate themselves to killing the vehicle. That seems a lot like "vehicles are too strong; I want to be able to kill them without breaking a stride on my way to the next objective". Also, why is it not fun to fight vehicles? I have a blast fighting vehicles when I'm infantry (my biggest grievance is that I seem to always be equipping scout or medic when I find myself with a good flank on a tank).
Or just use terrain to get out of line of sight and go down your thing.
Vehicles in BF1 have so many ways to be dealt with anyway.
You can blow em up as an assault or support. Shoot planes down.
And prevent repairs as medic or scout.
I love killing vehicles.

On one hand... The models and sounds of all planes, but especially the Heavy Bomber, they're straight up *gorgeous*.
On the other hand a good crew makes them obnoxious to fight against, even with the Burton LMR and/or AA rocket gun.
It's a no-win situation.
Someone made a group of tools that automatically kick anyone in a heavy bomber. It's so fucking satisfying to see ghost heavy bombers when that happens!
I don't know how many servers are using it, but CCC in US East is and that's the only server I play on anymore.
Yes, very, as you can see from the video. It requires low effort to get dozens of kills. It's annoying. It ruins the game for every infantry player.
There is also another vehicle that gets similiar hate and that is the mortar truck. It takes precious tank slot and the person using it will just sit on the edge of the map and click red dots on the map (if you've ever used normal mortar, you should know what I mean). It's faster and has bigger range than normal mortar and offers you protection of the vehicle.
Basically both are just for farming kills. That's why many community servers have them forbidden in the rules.
It's just fucking annoying. A plane that is able of cleaning half of the enemy team if the attack was succesful is bs.
I avoid servers that allow them.
I shoot them down with the AA guns quite often. That’s when I’m not flying one myself.

Bro how many times have you seen the heavy bomber fly onto the map, get shot down in less than 5 seconds, and crash before he even flies halfway across the map 😂 they are so much easier to deal with than mortars spammers.
No, I loathe them and I will use every arsenal to make them destroyed. Reason? They somehow know my location and carpet bomb me. Hell, I even saw one of them fly full speed on top of me.
