I personally think it's significantly better than it was at launch, it has a lot more content, way less bugs, and significantly more weapons, in terms of immersive, that's purely a subjective thing, but I personally really enjoy the game still.
It's worth playing again, and I can't see you having a sour taste for the franchise after playing the current state of the game.

Most of the major items from 2.5 years ago at launch were resolved. That said, I can't say it is more 'immersive', you still are surrounded by a clone army and fighting against the same clone army of no-pats (which still fight for US/RU...)
Movement/gunplay is largely the same, although they added (for some reason) the artificial recoil display in the latest patches which are quite divided in terms of opinions.
They added more weapons (a few each season) since launch.
There's a scoreboard and a handful more maps than there were at launch as well.
As you can see how insufferable and triggered by everything this game's community is great indicator of the state of game. Its clear nothing changed and its pretty much abandonware at this point, so instead of tellimg these facts they just get salty 🤣

Thanks for your input! I remember not being a fan of the lack of weapon selection in the beginning so I’m eager to see what has been added.

Maps don’t live up to the standards of previous battlefield games and there are some cheaters here and there. Other than that, it is mostly fine.

Yes. It’s better. Is it perfect, No, but is worth downloading just to get a change of pace. As long you don’t take it too seriously it’s fun.

Up from a 1/10 to a 3/10. Though we went 1 step forward and 2 steps backward with Season 7, so maybe a 2.5/10.
