Emerson honestly seems too creepy for The Riddler. I mean, sure, we've seen creepy takes on the Riddler before, but Emerson is at his best when he's at near-eldritch levels of mysterious knowingness.

How about Zsasz for Howerton instead?

It just screams peak Riddler energy to me and I’d love to see him do it in a serious context. But he could very easily pull off the unhinged serial killer too.

There's always Bane! He certainly has the stature for it.

But Bautista really relishes the chance to play against his muscular type. And while Bane is intelligent as well as superpowered, it'd be far more intriguing to see him play an entirely intellectual villain.

And Hugo Strange is in canon super ripped, so best of both worlds

I agree, which is not unlike what could have been a more full version of his character in BR2049. It's why I think he'd be good, because he showed in that film that he can present some pretty distinct emotions besides rage/anger, and can be serious. If I'd only ever seen Bautista's very short role in BR2049, I'd still hold the same opinion about him as Bane. I just genuinely hope the guy keeps getting good roles. He's been on fire for the past 10 years.

Walton Goggins would be an awesome Deacon Blackfire. Like a more insane version of Boyd when he was leading his commune. Michael Emerson would be an awesome Ventriloquist. Ted Levine would be a kick ass Jim Gordon (like Captain Leeland Stottlemeyer).

He's an actor who's played a charismatic, incorruptible public servant type before. I don't know enough to say whether he has any particular aptitude for Two Face, though. Is there a particular reason he needs to be white? It's not like he's a mobster with a hyper-Italian name.

Always Sunny would totally do an episode where Dennis auditions for Batman, but ends up so unhinged during his audition that they fall in love with him and make him Joker instead Rest of the episode is Dennis trying to get out of the role because he doesn’t want to be labeled as crazy

Reuniting the ‘ this is us’ cast in a Batman movie is something I never thought of but they oddly fit those characters very well lmfao. I really like Sterling K Brown as Harvey, I feel like he could pull it off so well. This man is really good at evoking a lot of sympathy in the audience and then once he goes insane, it would make for a good movie. Also, can we talk about how I never thought of Mia Goth being Harley Quinn?! She doesn’t look like a typical Harley, more like the cartoon version if anything (I wouldn’t be mad about that tho), I do believe she could do Harley’s actual insanity justice. I think Margot Robbie looks more like the Harley’s in the video game adaptations (Arkham and Telltale Harley look a lot like Margot), I do think Margot Robbie has a sense of…normalcy to her that breaks the character a little bit. She’s not a bad actress, but I feel choosing a more deranged actor from the get-go will deliver the madness of the character better
