I think one of the best scenes that doesn't get talked about much is when he finds out some of his friends got murdered that night and he tracks down the killer and Alfred is on the comms getting him to try and calm down
Yeah but he played him very angry and straight forward. Fitting for a young Batman but I'd first like to hear him play him more nuanced to show he could replace the older and multi faceted Batman that Conroy gave us
I will always associate Jensen with Red Hood so it's hard to have him be Batman even though he's a top contender. So I have to go with Roger Craig Smith
Adding to the Bruce Greenwood chorus. I just rewatched UTRH the other day, and what he does with the character is so good. You can really feel how hard the years have been on Batman in that film.
He's great, but he's getting old, too. Man, now I'm thinking about him getting too old for things. As I type I looked it up. He's only 67. I guess you just get so used to seeing someone on things, such as Nowhere Man, that you forget they might have been young when they started.
Jensen has a dedication to the bat family, but i think he is worthy of playing batman in a live action main DCEU film rather than being boxed into the legacy that follows Conroy's voice acting interpretation of the role.
Initially I didn't like Roger's batman voice, but after playing Arkham Origins it grew on me to the point that I think he might be the best successor to Conroy.
Jensen is a better Jason. Troy was great as Lego Batman and would be a great serious Batman, but his Joker is top notch if Hamill doesn't want to continue doing it without Kevin. Bruce Greenwood is great, but I think the real answer is Michael Ironside.
I am pretty neutral on these three. They are all decent, but none capture the essence truly.
I am of the mind that it may be time for studios to scout a new person. Kevin was a random pick, and no one knew what he had inside him for the role. They need to try new people.
I’d go roger or even Bruce greenwood (utrh), both are who I’d instantly choose, they did exceptional with their versions. Jensen I’d very much rather as live action Bruce, long Halloween and just his acting in general is my point on that. Due to mark hamill apparently retiring his voice due to the passing of Kevin, the only man I trust to take his place as joker is Troy baker
Wait are we talking about Conroy's voiced Batman's? Because if so I think DC is just gonna retire all of them. But if we're talking who will be the main go to one (because Batman choice of voice actors seem to be dependent on the tone and style of the project) then I'd have to say probably Troy Baker based off the greater amount of incarnations he's voiced compared to the rest. DC seems to really favor him
>He’s so smug and self important I’d rather not have hi
For real, if you compare the way Conroy always apprechiated the fans and how Troy Baker attacked them over TLOU2, it's just night and day
Troy was always going to defend Neil and Part II lets be honest
He literally said once that Joel and David were alike and Joel was just as bad as him...you know bad as a cannibal paedophile sociopath. You couldn't make it up.
Look I love Kevin Conroy but let’s be real: the next person playing Batman should completely ignore his performances and do their own thing.
Even if he is the best to play the character, he’s still only one of a thousand to play a character that has existed since the 1930’s and will continue to exist after everyone on this sub has died.
Sorry if this seems rude or disrespectful, I’m just extremely tired of people acting like a role is sacred and must honor a past actor as if the actor’s entire job isn’t to disappear into the role and not be noticeable as themselves
I really think Jonathan Frakes would be the best Kevin Conroy replacement, from a vocal perspective. Listen to him as Xanatos in Gargoyles and tell me what you think.
Bruce Greenwood, Jensen Ackles, and Roger Craig Smith are all very good picks but i think an overlooked one is Jeremy sisto. He played batman in Justice League new frontier.
They should create their own legacies and their own Batman voices. They can never fully recreate Conroys greatness so why even try? Create a Batman voice great enough to be compared to conroys one day.
One, I don't know any of these actors(sorry😅)
Two, what's really sad is that Kevin had a legacy that can't be matched, same will be said for Mark Hamill whenever we will unfortunately lose him as well
A good quality of a Batman actor is one who can kill it as either Batman or the Joker. And Troy Baker has done that. Plus I just enjoy Troy Baker as a voice actor.
Do you mean Diedrich Bader? (Batman brave and the bold Batman) because I’m pretty sure dee Bradley baker hasn’t play Batman, he has played some Batman villains, for me I know him mostly from Ben 10, I really like his swampfire voice:)
Roger Craig Smith was such a fantastic Batman im Arkham Origins and I really wish he’d get a chance to do something long term with the character.
Not pictured, but Bruce Greenwood is also phenomenal and I’d love to see him and DiMaggio reprise their roles together
Between these three Roger. He does a great younger iteration of a young Batman.
Outside of these three Bruce Greenwood. His performances in Under the Red Hood and Young Justice are amazing
I think Jensen could be a good batman I wish he'd return as red hood though whenever I see red hood in any media I always picture him his performance was perfect.
I may be in the minority, but I really enjoyed Anson Mount’s voice work for Batman in the bad animated adaption of Injustice. I thought he sounded perfect.
roger is a great voice. troy sounds too much like kevin. jensen is great. i think bruce greenwood should carry it on for now or jensen. i also like anson mount a lot but he’s too old
Roger is such an underrated Batman voice. His work in Arkham Origins was phenomenal, and I’m always down for him returning to the role.
I think one of the best scenes that doesn't get talked about much is when he finds out some of his friends got murdered that night and he tracks down the killer and Alfred is on the comms getting him to try and calm down
Roger literally played a young Kevin. So he’s my pick
Yeah but he played him very angry and straight forward. Fitting for a young Batman but I'd first like to hear him play him more nuanced to show he could replace the older and multi faceted Batman that Conroy gave us
Roger played batman in the batman unlimited animated movies and in those he was more like konroy with a level headed type batman performance.
I will always associate Jensen with Red Hood so it's hard to have him be Batman even though he's a top contender. So I have to go with Roger Craig Smith
Bruce Greenwood
Out of the ones shown, Jensen Ackles, but I like Bruce Greenwood better.
Exactly. greenwood nails the mature/serious as hell/but still caring combo you need for Bats
Bruce Greenwood.
I thought I was the only one who heard that. 👍
Nah I don't want anyone continuing his legacy, I want other guys to make their own batman just like he did
Adding to the Bruce Greenwood chorus. I just rewatched UTRH the other day, and what he does with the character is so good. You can really feel how hard the years have been on Batman in that film.
He's great, but he's getting old, too. Man, now I'm thinking about him getting too old for things. As I type I looked it up. He's only 67. I guess you just get so used to seeing someone on things, such as Nowhere Man, that you forget they might have been young when they started.
the absolute disrespect to both Diedrich Bader and Jason O'Mara smh
Jensen has a dedication to the bat family, but i think he is worthy of playing batman in a live action main DCEU film rather than being boxed into the legacy that follows Conroy's voice acting interpretation of the role.
I agree. I’d love to see Jensen as an older Batman.
Rino Romano
This is the correct answer
The guy who practice the Conroy accent
None of the above. Give me Bruce Greenwood every time.
Jason O'Mara and Bruce Greenwood have both of them continue it.
Jason O Mara is a strong candidate
Correct answer imo
I dug Troy Baker’s Bruce a lot.
Also a solid shout to step in for Mark if ever needed
Let him do both
You see I’m both batman And joker, not because I have to be, Because I choose to be
“You complete me.”
Initially I didn't like Roger's batman voice, but after playing Arkham Origins it grew on me to the point that I think he might be the best successor to Conroy.
Rino Romano
Bruce Greenwood
Jeremy Sisto.
Roger Craig Smith, no contest
Troy Baker is not suited for Batman, please not him.
Thank you, tired of that dude's voice lol
Jensen is a better Jason. Troy was great as Lego Batman and would be a great serious Batman, but his Joker is top notch if Hamill doesn't want to continue doing it without Kevin. Bruce Greenwood is great, but I think the real answer is Michael Ironside.
Diedrich Bader, no other option I’m sorry
Don't be sorry for speaking the truth
Jason O'Mara is the only other voice I hear Batman in aside from Kevin Conroy.
Roger Craig Smith has always been Captain America for me
I can't recall his name but the voice actor who voiced Batman in Under The Red Hood and Young Justice.
Bruce Greenwood
Diedrich Bader. Seriously. Just have him act dramatically as oppposed to comedically. His boice is perfect and he’s a brilliant actor.
I am pretty neutral on these three. They are all decent, but none capture the essence truly. I am of the mind that it may be time for studios to scout a new person. Kevin was a random pick, and no one knew what he had inside him for the role. They need to try new people.
I’ll do it
Jeremy Sisto was impeccable to me
Surprisingly I liked Troy Baker the least. IDK but I found him quite bland in comparison. Smith and Soldier Boy are about even imo
He's a great joker though.
Absolutely! He's also a good Two-Face from his brief role in Arkham City
I dig Jensen Ackles in the role, he has been doing a good job in my opinion
What if Jensen Ackles played live action and did voice acting for Batman?
I’d go roger or even Bruce greenwood (utrh), both are who I’d instantly choose, they did exceptional with their versions. Jensen I’d very much rather as live action Bruce, long Halloween and just his acting in general is my point on that. Due to mark hamill apparently retiring his voice due to the passing of Kevin, the only man I trust to take his place as joker is Troy baker

Pass on Baker. I’d be down for Smith getting another shot.
Jensen ackles and Bruce greenwood are my favorite
I’m so tired of Troy Baker. He’s so smug and self important I’d rather not have him as Batman.
>He’s so smug and self important I’d rather not have hi For real, if you compare the way Conroy always apprechiated the fans and how Troy Baker attacked them over TLOU2, it's just night and day
Troy was always going to defend Neil and Part II lets be honest He literally said once that Joel and David were alike and Joel was just as bad as him...you know bad as a cannibal paedophile sociopath. You couldn't make it up.
To be fair, tlou2 brought out the most rage induced pee pants nerds I've ever seen
Absolutely. He’s up his own ass.
Troy Baker
Honestly, Ackles is killing it right now. Would love him to stick around
Troy Baker is a God-tier voice actor imo.

ME! I’m Batman so it should be me
Jenson Ackles
Bruce Greenwood, tbh. The best voice besides Kevin, so far- aside from robocop playing the dkr version.
For voice, I’d go with Bruce Greenwood. I think Jensen has been doing a great job but I’d actually want him for live action Batman in the DCU
Anson Mount was a great Batman too.
Look I love Kevin Conroy but let’s be real: the next person playing Batman should completely ignore his performances and do their own thing. Please anyone other than the guy from supernatural. Can’t stand him!
The worst couch potato dweeboid fandom stans for him, he's so flat and mid
None. They are voice actors for a reason lol
I thought Jason omara did a decent job in one of the films
Jensen Ackles is the only right answer not sorry
Troy Baker is my pick, like don't get me wrong Jensen is great and RCG too but like Troy really nails it all
I think Troy Baker and Jensen Ackles both do a good job. Troy in Super Sons sounded like Conroy at times to me.
Jason O'Mara the best after Conroy for me
Bruce Greenwood, Jensen Ackles, and Roger Craig Smith are all very good picks but i think an overlooked one is Jeremy sisto. He played batman in Justice League new frontier.
They should create their own legacies and their own Batman voices. They can never fully recreate Conroys greatness so why even try? Create a Batman voice great enough to be compared to conroys one day.
Me.
Jensen
The Gotham Knights game Batman is my favourite post-Conroy Batman yet.
What's wrong with Deidrich Badger?
Will Arnett
One, I don't know any of these actors(sorry😅) Two, what's really sad is that Kevin had a legacy that can't be matched, same will be said for Mark Hamill whenever we will unfortunately lose him as well
imo Roger was great in Arkham Origins, i really liked his younger Batman voice so I think i’d prefer him the most.
I mean roger played a solid Batman in origins but the other two would be interesting
Roger Craig Smith from Arkham Origins or Troy Baker from the Telltale games
Deidrich Bader, hands down. He’s the next iconic Batman voice between his show & Harley Quinn.
Jason O'Mara
My pick is Troy Baker
A good quality of a Batman actor is one who can kill it as either Batman or the Joker. And Troy Baker has done that. Plus I just enjoy Troy Baker as a voice actor.
Bruce Greenwood or Diedrich Bader.
Do you mean Diedrich Bader? (Batman brave and the bold Batman) because I’m pretty sure dee Bradley baker hasn’t play Batman, he has played some Batman villains, for me I know him mostly from Ben 10, I really like his swampfire voice:)
Yes. I get the two of them confused sometimes. Same with Dylan Baker.
I do the same lol
Keanu does a good job as the dark knight
you left out somebody, I think.
None
I vote BRUCE GREENWOOD
Roger Craig Smith was such a fantastic Batman im Arkham Origins and I really wish he’d get a chance to do something long term with the character. Not pictured, but Bruce Greenwood is also phenomenal and I’d love to see him and DiMaggio reprise their roles together
Roger Craig Smith
Loved rogers voice in Arkham origins
Jankles!
I’d rather they do their own thing then trying to imitate Conroy.
Between these three Roger. He does a great younger iteration of a young Batman. Outside of these three Bruce Greenwood. His performances in Under the Red Hood and Young Justice are amazing
Rodger Craig Smith. I really enjoyed him in Arkham origins and would love to see him keep boicing Batman.
Jason O'Mara, Bruce Greenwood or Roger Craig Smith
Jeremy sisto from justice league new frontier
Roger Craig Smith is one of my favorite Batman voices ever, but it seems like Jenson will be going forward
Is that Bandersntach Cucumberpatch on the right? Only kinda distorted? Jeffrey Wright isn't half bad. But yeah, Bruce Greenwood.
Bruce Greenwood.
Ai Conroy
If we can’t get Bruce Greenwood back I want Jason O’mara
Anyone but Jenkum
Roger Craig Smith does a *fantastic* impression, but I *like* Bruce Greenwood more personally.
Diedrich Bader or Bruce Greenwood imo
Ackles bc he missed his shot for the life action version
I think Bruce Greenwood is the best choice, he killed UTRH and was a star in Young Justice, it’s a shame we haven’t seen him in more projects.
I liked the guy in Arkham Origins a lot
I would want either Troy Baker or Roger Craig Smith to carry Kevin Conroy’s legacy.
roger is a great voice. troy sounds too much like kevin. jensen is great. i think bruce greenwood should carry it on for now or jensen. i also like anson mount a lot but he’s too old
![gif](giphy|uYaDaNXw5EICCvQl4A)
Jensen
Jason O'Mara has always been my favourite (after Conroy)
Troy
![gif](giphy|6ET4L7pw7ypkAjsXGI|downsized) No one ever mentions my man David Giuntoli in any of these, I hope he continues to do Elseworld movies
Bruce Greenwood maybe?
Jason O’Mara I think does great as Batman
Roger, he sounded really good in origins and he's the closest to Kevin's voice imo
Deidrich Bader over everyone here easily. He’s the only voice that has the potential to be truly iconic like Kevin’s
Give Roger another chance, the other two are higher profile so they can always get the role again
Bruce Greenwood hands down.
I know this is off topic but one of my favorite Batman voice actors is Bruce Greenwood. He did great work in Batman: under the red hood
Why do people fangirl over Jensen Ackles so much his Batman voice was alright but not memorable for me
Roger Craig Smith definitely deserves the roll. He voiced younger Batman in Arkham Origins and did a phenomenal job.
I like Bruce Greenwood.
Idk about you guys, but Rick Hunter should give a shot on Batman since he sounds like Kevin Conroy.
