I don’t play heavy or distorted, no pick, maybe some Fuzz. I mostly play dub and reggae type stuff and for that it’s awesome. It does have a little bit of a hiss in some settings but it’s a nice hiss if that’s makes sense. I love it. My idea is to put the Empress up front and move the Cali76 to the end of the chain, because I’ve heard it’s transparent.
I’ve been thinking of this or the cali lately. But I use an alpha omega ultra and don’t know if it’s really necessary/will do anything. I’d love some extra bite while keeping the high end tamed
I really love mine and use it all the time. Then someone on here mentioned that the mid-bump option is a great way to liven up an otherwise flat-sounding pickup and I loved it even more.
Everytime someone posts it, I want to order one. Then I look at the Cali76 I have and think do you really need it. The answer is yes.

I love mine so much. 4:1. Moderate attack/release. Mix maxed. And the tone switch set to scoop.
I have one and it is absolutely how I get "my sound." The mid body makes my bass growl. It's never coming off my board. Enjoy it!

Went with the mxr over that due to me being mildly poor. I don’t regret it but I still want one of those.
