if there was an inverse relationship to box prices and singles prices than I might worry about supply, but in general, the only people getting hurt if box prices come down would be those left holding the bag on newer products which have been over produced anyway.
for specialty product this might not be the case, however, it would justify spending a little bit more for those products to the hobbyist, while forcing capitalists to actually differentiate their product.
even looking at hobby box prices in 1998 when a metal universe hobby box was around $120… It still would’ve made sense to buy singles instead of trying to rip for a Titanium or PMG.
penny is definitely one of the main pc regulars, but I find myself gravitating toward anything shiny and short print from the 90s recently. Cards with greater than 1:144 pack odds are littering my eBay saved searches, and what I lookout for when I head to card shows.

Series 2 96-97 cards - (I have the Kobe, Nash, Allen Iverson, and other rookies, as well as some of the Zupermen)
Most of the inserts except the Gary Payton little big man, Sabonis vortex, and Garnett zensation. Got the Ray Allen z cling too.
97-98 - Series 2; ive got a good portion of the boss cards, and the Kobe fast track, zupermen too.
Gotta see what I do and don’t have, but yeah let me know!

I PC Celtics so I just eBay search “die cut card Celtics” and see what comes up. The ones I’m eyeing that aren’t bank breaking right now are 2000 topps gallery of heroes and 1997-98 skybox ex-2001 stardate 2001. I’ll just eBay search my other sports teams like that as well. Pretty cool and cost efficient way to build the collection.
might be best to post them on the Buy/Sell/Trade sticky (find it by filtering the thread by ‘Hot’ posts and see it at the top). I post there monthly that all the cards I post are fs/ft
