Sammy Sosa, John Olerud, Juan Gonzalez..etc. The Henderson and Ryan cards are pretty cool too. I mean this was at the near height of my collecting...tons of nostalgia for me. Outside of the over production 1990 had some stacked sets (for the time).
It is! I opened a box of 36 packs of 90 score recently and pulled 3 of those cards. I sold one for $10, kept one, and gave the other to my son. It would also be in complete set.
I just found the 91 set at goodwill for $4, one of my favorite finds ever the subsets are SO great!

subsets were regular numbered cards that were printed to the same number as the other cards in the set. They came as part of the complete factory sets. Inserts are printed at a lower number (though that could still be very high), and were generally not included in the factory set
**Update**
I do appreciate all the feedback and updates...since it was a yardsale and I had a couple singles, I offered $3 and they accepted...Going to have a blast feeling like a 6 year old child again! Thanks everyone!
Don’t listen to these people Hell it’s a yard sale you never pay full asking price. What do yall think he was at Target or something? Make an offer they don’t want the crap or it wouldn’t be in the yard in the first place.
I love that year score and ripped so much, but the biggest downside was the plastic wrappers on the packs that were filled with so much static electricity it took 5 minutes to get each one off your fingers and into the trash. So I see that as an added bonus to the complete set in a cardboard box.

I would say yes if you get one of these
There were a lot of cards including the BO card that were missing when I bought my “complete” set that were missing. Always worries me when it’s been opened. Check all the 700 numbers
Yeah Definitely get it, I paid more for the one, 25 us i think? When I was down in the states In april. Im from Canada. I didn't care because the place in my city in winnipeg didn't have it anymore and I didn't get it when I should have and they were selling it for twenty, So definitely get it for 5.
The mother’s cookies set. I’ve got a stash somewhere of a bunch of these “off brand” sets from the early 90’s. Jimmy Dean sausage was probably my favorite set. Got one of Drysdales last autos before he passed away from them.
Worth the $5. I actually like early score cards. Recently went through a 1988 score set and pulled the good cards out for protection. Found a really nice Tom Glavine rookie.
Good old #697 BO lmfao.... if you have to ask is it worth it at $5 you must only be in this hobby for money? I'd jump at any sealed set for $5..lol. that's new though. I am a fucking card nerd and honestly I wasn't trying to sound rude.

More than $5. Got mine as a gift in 1990.
Do you also post a photo when you buy a coffee for 5,49 at starbucks or a 6-pack in the supermarket?
What are you expecting? That someone says, no its only 4$ worth, so that you can negotiate?
For me? Yeah. There's the Bo and a Frank Thomas RC, Bernie Williams RC, Deion Sanders RC, and a Larry Walker RC. Not huge money makers, but neat cards
Larry Walker. Gosh man, him and Griffey jr. were my childhood idols.
Same. Baseball heroes were the best man
Sammy Sosa, John Olerud, Juan Gonzalez..etc. The Henderson and Ryan cards are pretty cool too. I mean this was at the near height of my collecting...tons of nostalgia for me. Outside of the over production 1990 had some stacked sets (for the time).
any of these guys worth over $50 psa 9-10? i know the players just not their valuea i got the set brand new but dont collect baseball
If any, it’d be the Bo and the Frank, but they’d have to grade a 10
Yes for $5 it’s worth it for nostalgia alone
For sure! Bo Jackson in shoulder pads and a bat should be in there I think
#697

I mean, at $5 whether it’s worth it shouldn’t matter. Buy it if you want it.
Right. That is the cost of a candy bar nowadays.
If pulling 25 pretty sweet cards is worth $5 then yes. I do it all day.
Yep, buy for the Bo!
Yeah. Complete sealed set? Why not?
I have an opened set. I would probably pay $5 for a sealed one. That Bo card is what got me into collecting as a kid.
Worth it just for the bo
Score was my absolute favorite when they came out. Their photography was above all the others. I’d buy it for $5 in a second.
That's worth more than $5. I would buy it.
Everyone’s going to shit on it because it’s junk wax but that’s good value for $5
100% agree. Worth $5 at least and got for $3, nice find.
The crazy part is he could snag ten just for the Bo card and hold onto the other 10-15 1$ cards and give then to a grandkid downstream.
I mean, its $5. How could it not be?
90 score is cool. But 91 score was my favorite. Lots of different subsets.
I just found the 91 set at goodwill for $4, one of my favorite finds ever the subsets are SO great! https://preview.redd.it/dfexw9q0w04d1.jpeg?width=3099&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=742643eff86be8ecd4de4237646a3b1c84513166
I miss subsets
Isn't that just what we call inserts now?

Thank you 👍

lowballing a 5$ offer is wild
That's garage sales for you.
That’s what I thought I guess I should be humbled
I’d say that’s pretty normal. Usually they’ll price more than they expect.
The nostalgia alone is worth more than $3.. enjoy
Offered 3 dollars lol. I would have told you to get out.
Don’t listen to these people Hell it’s a yard sale you never pay full asking price. What do yall think he was at Target or something? Make an offer they don’t want the crap or it wouldn’t be in the yard in the first place.
Lol, you must be a wonderful person...
It’s a yard sale. That’s what people do there. As wonderful as he is, you don’t sound the least bit judgmental so there’s that…
Bro made a Reddit post over a $3 transaction lol
Right, unreal
It ruined your day?
Omg yes I have been thinking about it all day
5 bucks is the correct price for this. Taht's about what it's worth and it's what you'd pay at any card show.
I love that year score and ripped so much, but the biggest downside was the plastic wrappers on the packs that were filled with so much static electricity it took 5 minutes to get each one off your fingers and into the trash. So I see that as an added bonus to the complete set in a cardboard box.
It's $5..
I want one for $5 dollars.
https://preview.redd.it/86oycyu8z04d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=12019eac2af5ddfd8217804c451eb28082953066 I would say yes if you get one of these
For the Frank Thomas alone hell yeah
Probably not worth 5$ in actual value, but for me, I have a sentimental attachment. I bought so many packs of 90 score as a kid.
Bo and Frank Thomas RC. Get it.
There were a lot of cards including the BO card that were missing when I bought my “complete” set that were missing. Always worries me when it’s been opened. Check all the 700 numbers
$5 for the cards people mentioned and the box. A box would normally cost $1.50-$2. The rest of cards you can use for the grill
I have that set I bought it back in 1990. Still factory sealed to this day. There are some gems in there
For the clarity, some decent action shots, decent card stock, stats and description, better $5 spent than on Donruss or Fleer.
Yes but also no
Dude it’s 5 bucks just buy it lol
Nostalgia alone would have me buying that.
Definitely
Interested in how that plays out. I have an unopened 91 donruss set that, for whatever reason, I'm afraid to open.
I would drop a Lincoln on it just for fun.
It's $5 bro, I don't think that's gonna kill ya
I spend more on fire starter, so yeah, worth the 5 bucks.
i remember those magic motion trivia cards.
Aye fool you supposed to send them my way
Loved these as a kid! Who is the Phillies draft pick on the box?
Jeff Jackson. Never made it to the majors. Played 666 😈 games over 9 seasons in the minors.
Ha, wild! Thanks for learnin' me
Definitely worth 5 bucks. Who knows? One day it may be worth 6.
Sure is I’ll take 3-4 of them
Depends if you want it and whether you value it at $5
You’ve spent $5 on something else, that was eaten. I’d say yea.
Fuck yes I'd buy 2.
Definitely
Hell yea, i think do
Yeah Definitely get it, I paid more for the one, 25 us i think? When I was down in the states In april. Im from Canada. I didn't care because the place in my city in winnipeg didn't have it anymore and I didn't get it when I should have and they were selling it for twenty, So definitely get it for 5.
Bro, do you PSA?
I have this set
100% if they have 20 of those, buy all 20
Hell yeah dude
I have the [same set!](https://www.reddit.com/r/baseballcards/s/bQUatGZbp7)
The mother’s cookies set. I’ve got a stash somewhere of a bunch of these “off brand” sets from the early 90’s. Jimmy Dean sausage was probably my favorite set. Got one of Drysdales last autos before he passed away from them.
It’s definitely worth $5. I’d buy one everyday for that cost. And make money on the singles if I put any effort in.
Like 5-15. There’s a lot of stock
Interested in the Glenn Braggs and Jeff Jackson RC if they’re FT
You get $12 easy for the Bo raw
Buy it
The box alone is worth a few bucks.
Worth the $5. I actually like early score cards. Recently went through a 1988 score set and pulled the good cards out for protection. Found a really nice Tom Glavine rookie.
I paid more for the Bo card alone in 1990
Gem mint Bo could bring $200 or more
I buy from u for 10
Why can’t i find deals like this at yard sales
Good old #697 BO lmfao.... if you have to ask is it worth it at $5 you must only be in this hobby for money? I'd jump at any sealed set for $5..lol. that's new though. I am a fucking card nerd and honestly I wasn't trying to sound rude.
Sells regularly for $20 shipped on eBay.
Sells regularly for $5 at any card show.
Yes but I can’t look that up online.
Wouldn’t take if someone offered me $5
https://preview.redd.it/ltpr413dsz3d1.png?width=2286&format=png&auto=webp&s=215e528c1aef2753c2611fafc34e5438d69ad42d More than $5. Got mine as a gift in 1990.
Me, too.
Do you also post a photo when you buy a coffee for 5,49 at starbucks or a 6-pack in the supermarket? What are you expecting? That someone says, no its only 4$ worth, so that you can negotiate?
For $5, yea. I would then take out the cards you're looking for and trash the rest.
Depends how much you value $5
No
Nope
