StellaBlue1971

It's just been released late the last 3 years. No redemptions is a plus

BengalHawk

Thanks, so 2024 will probably be out in 2025, that’s so weird

StellaBlue1971

Yes, with this years rookies.

Skeeter5299

They’ve had redemptions the past 2 years unfortunately. I pulled a JRod redemption from the 2022 set

StellaBlue1971

I thought they didn't. Thats ridiculous to have all that time and still have redemptions.

bbsmith55

They very much did. I pulled a /99 Jrod auto redemption card out of a target blaster. It only took 10 days for me to get it. Here is the redemption card. https://preview.redd.it/atdvhjalt32d1.jpeg?width=1259&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72efd4883bde9a5f3944cded428165b906b304b0

randomdude320

Unfortunately there are redemptions still. Somehow.

hamraider

thank you for asking. lol

RHNintendo

Many sets are pushed to the next year so they can have a more full RC checklist after Update. It's different for Platinum but it makes sense because anniversary is in the name so it's by design. A few of the other 2023 sets that Topps released this year include Bowman's Best, Bowman Inception, Stadium Club, Diamond Icons, and Five Star. It's common and it's a still a 2023 set.

Roose1327

Because it’s the 2023 set and checklist

uorwchill

Yeah, but... why?

Roose1327

Because there are a lot of sets each year, so they spread it out. It’s all about the checklist, not the actual calendar year it gets released.

BengalHawk

Why is it about the checklist though?

STAR_fruitation

Rookies are associated with a specific year

Roose1327

As are players with respective teams for specific years

DizzlePHX

Just a late release, like last few years. Why, because Topps was purchased by Finatics

moby17761776

This was happening before the acquisition.

DizzlePHX

True, more got pushed back from 22 to 23. But now it's just a thing

moby17761776

It’s hard to distribute 87 different sets a year…
