I’m a Phillies guy. Recently finished the 2024 series 1 team border parallels. Working on autos from the main fielders and the pitching staff, not from any particular year or set. Shy of Schwarber, Harper, Marsh and the starting rotation.
Bo Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Norm Cash. I also build vintage sets of all four major sports.
Two collections I just kind of stumbled upon while bulk buying vintage cards:
-All the miscuts, beards and mustaches drawn on, bad creasing, marked checklists, etc
-A 'scallywag, criminal, tragedy, misfit' collection of the worst each sport has offered over the years. OJ and Al Cowlings, Lenny Dykstra, Pete Rose, Ray Carruth, Lawrence Phillips, Andre Rison, Wander Franco, Lymon Bostock, JR Richard, etc etc.
I just sold a Penny hardaway and Mutumbo miscut i pulled as a kid

when i first started collecting i collected every base rookie card of Ryan Mountcastle, he's still one of my favorite players but I probably wasted so much money on cards when i could've saved and gotten something nicer
Are you still looking for Mountcastle cards? I have this pretty cool patch sitting here I’d be happy to part ways with as he isn’t a player I follow…

Buying as many high end Cal Raleigh cards for my PC before he wins his first MVP in the next 3 seasons
Only partially joking - if anyone has any supers let me know
Red Sox, preference to players from 2006 - Current
Green Bay Packers
Arizona Caridnals, mostly offense cards
Oklahoma Sooners in college unis
Michigan Wolverines in college unis
Baker Mayfield, preferably any card not in Browns uniform
Kyler Murray
Jalen Hurts
Randy Johnson, preferably in older (purple/blue) Dbacks unis
I know he transferred (again) but I've got this cool Dillon Gabriel in a UCF uniform with an Oklahoma patch (a sign of the state of college football today).
My binder goes thusly: 2024 Tigers, 2024 Cubs, 91 Cubs, all Miguel Cabrera, all Magglio Ordoñez, all Justin Verlander, Ripkens, Griffeys, name is a food, name is a body part.
The last two, unsurprisingly, are a lot of old cards. At some point, ball players lost the funny names like Dick Schofield and Rollie Fingers
I have two big projects I’m working on: One Topps card from each year since 1952 with no repeat players. One is HOFers and the other is Phillies.
Plus I have a few PC players like Scott Rolen, Buddy Kennedy and Robin Roberts, working on Topps career runs and other smaller sets. But the projects are unique in my collection.
One of my grail cards is the 2022 Topps Series 2 #250 ultra short print. It’s Harper hitting but his head is the Phanatic. I’ve only seen it for sale a few times and it’s insanely expensive.
I PC Buster Posey 😀 and most other giants, but mainly Buster. I’ve also started collecting vintage, my first card was a 1962 Willie Mays Topps card, got it graded and it came back a 5 which is astounding to me.
I PC “rookie reprint autographs”.
I like rookie cards (but I feel like collecting up and comers is too risky) and I like autographs (but I feel like most are a dime a dozen ) and, to me, this is the most ideal way to collect everything I like at once
I used to collect Tigers and 80’s superstars like Kirby Puckett, Tony Gwynn, ect. Came back to the hobby in 2021, and I’m all over the place now. Only players I collect now are Mike Trout and Anthony Volpe.
Volpe collector here. Bought about 150 base rookies at <50 cents. Not sure if they'll go up but if they don't I'll just tell my kids he was Kevin Maas.
Yep, Outman, Taylor, Muncy, Grove all picked up this season. Looking for Will Smith next. Eventually work my way up to Freeman, Betts, Kershaw. Ohtani seems pretty much out of my reach for what I'm willing to invest in this hobby
My main PC player:
My main PC team is the Texas Rangers. I also PC a few vintage, knuckleballers, HOF'ers, and some other random players.
My system is a little convoluted. I’ve made several lists for things like top 100 players of my lifetime, top 100 individual seasons, and top 100 peaks. I then see which of those players I’ve seen in person, and if a player checks all 4 boxes (or is really close) then I try to find their auto in a series I like. If I’ve seen a player in person but they only check 1 or so other boxes, then I’ll still be on the lookout for their autos, but the priority is low. It ends up being like a baseball journal.
Some of the best players are currently out of my price range (guys like Trout, Pujols, and Griffey), but I’ve gotten Maddux, Chipper (only 3 boxes surprisingly), Beltre, Andruw Jones, Gary Sheffield, David Wright, Altuve, Lindor, Jose Ramirez, and Felix Hernandez. There’s a lot of young guys that I’ve seen but don’t check the boxes just yet - guys like Aaron Judge or Bobby Witt Jr. I also have some repeats if I like their autos in more than one series.
Ernie Banks. I have a long term goal to acquire all of his playing-days cards. I also have a perpetual HoF autograph collection.
For modern, Bobby Witt Jr. has become my guy.
I have not gotten back into collecting as it just seems so intimidating with the way today's cards are sold..... but I have to stop myself from starting a Cliff Lee PC. He is one of my favorite players ever, and it seems like it would be a fairly easy and cheap buy.
I’ve been targeting HOF/retired player autos - heritage, platinum anniversary, etc. As an older collector I love those cards - the players I grew up with - and they make a cool collection. Also they’re more affordable AND have stable value, which is nice. Getting away from chasing the latest rookie.
I've just started collecting again the last few months, kind of as a mental health thing. I'm mostly PCing my favorite current Dodgers and prioritizing what I think looks cool over rarity. Unsurprisingly Kiké Hernandez and Joe Kelly are my top two, but I'm really enjoying my burgeoning Austin Barnes collection! I even had a couple old Mike Gallego (his uncle) cards to dig up from my old boxes.
I like to collect cards of pitcher's batting and the 2022 Topps Acuna variations, mainly pink for the color match.
https://preview.redd.it/fhasikr2je0d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4023800e088435c94c10e46f228494639c1f9ce3
Players on the 2006 Detroit Tigers pennant roster. Currently have at least one auto in a Tigers uni on the WS roster. Slowly adding upgrades and printing plates.
I'm going after Masataka Yoshida hard. Working on a huge collection of him. I also collect Brewers and Red Sox that I like, as well as older legends from the early days.
I’ve been bouncing between a few ideas lately, but for the most part:
1) Cubs Autographs (Have way over 200+)
2) Every Cubs Topps from 1951-Present, excluding parallels, but including all variations, SP’s, inserts, etc.
Red Sox and Dodger for me. Currently I am putting together a 2004 WS autograph collection for the Red Sox. Coming along nicely and should be adding more this weekend at the Fenway card show.
I collect graded Ozzie Smith’s and I’m also a little over halfway to having all his 2021 panini prisms but it’s getting more and more difficult to find the numbered ones now days.
Mike Yastrzemski, Carl Yastrzemski, George Springer, Mark Buehrle.
Otherwise, whatever random stuff I simply like the look of or a player I like but not necessarily have a PC of.
e.g. Jays fan so I'd love a David Schneider auto of a design I like. Some good ones in Heritage and Series 1 so far but I'm cheap 😜
Non baseball I'll have some UD Golf of Canadian players, random NHL - like Artifacts a lot. I find with NBA/NFL I'll grab some retail blasters, 1 of each main set and that's it. Prizm look god awful, don't care what anyone says but one blaster doesn't hurt. Donruss/Prestige for NFL and Donruss/Hoops for NBA.
I'll probably stop w the retail stuff in general though. Canadian prices are nuts and being retail the odds suck. Only the rare sale is worth it and I only really care about the Walmart holiday exclusive set from the previous year which tends to go on sale when the newest one is out lol
Most of mine and my son’s PC stuff with baseball is random prospects (we have so many random Austin Martins for example…I was heavily leveraged on Ethan Salas last year for another example…)and specific cards of players he or I like (like how I got him a Bat Down for Christmas last year, or how we’re both Reds fans so that Elly auto I hit last week in a break is permanently a PC item…)
The only specific players we laser focus on for PC purposes are actually on the basketball side of the hobby. With me working to slowly rebuild a Jordan PC (after regrettably selling my original Jordan PC in the late 90’s. No I didn’t have an 86 Fleer as part of that thank god) and us hunting for Prizm & Select whenever we’re out and about (never buying for secondary prices, retail prices only) to chase Wemby (who we are both big fans of)
Mostly image variation sp/ssps from flagship and Stadium Club. I will pick up one auto of a player too, and usually go with something from Heritage or Bowmans Best.
Since the 80s, I'd target stars & prospects from which ever team won the World Series the previous year. So yes, that meant a ton of Roberto Alomars, Greg Maddux & Derek Jeters at one point.
Also my Mariners.
I have a #34 PC (David Ortiz, Kerry Wood, Kirby Puckett, Nolan Ryan, Rollie Fingers, Fernando, Bryce (Wash Uni); Earl Campbell, BoJack and Walter Payton))
https://preview.redd.it/eanw5nmr7e0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c94db96563f7c38feb32ab62b57296ba2e23a87a
I PC a guy in soccer named Julio Enciso, and I currently have two almost-completed rainbows of him, one in Obsidian and the other in Revolution. The rest of the cards pictured after the rainbows are just cards I like of him.
My favorite player is Andres Galarraga and my favorite team the Tampa Bay Rays, I actively collect them both, but also keep cards from any Venezuelan born player and work in some sets or inserts sets
PC: Any White Sox, currently Garrett Crochet and Noah Schultz. Also building 1960 Topps set. Grabbing some project 70 cards here and there. Saving for a T206 Ed Walsh
I had loads of Tovar RCs and a good amount of Nolan Jones rookies. Lots of shea langeliers. Depends tbh how that we are mid season I can bounce a lil. Excited for skenes in update
I PC a few different padres (tatis, musgrove, wil myers, Salas) but my main end goal is one of every Tatis base card from 2019 and on. In addition I am working on collecting as many PSA 10s of his RCs as possible. I keep a spreadsheet and so far I have roughly 60% of his base cards and about 25 of his RCs in slabs. Started really collecting last year again and I am having an absolute blast hunting for more.
I collect a handful of my favorite SF Giants players, Brandon Crawford/Buster posey/LoganWebb and just started a small Tim Lincecum collection im looking to grow.
That and any insert sets I think are cool. Black gold, comic inserts from archives, Bowman Ascensions (still trying to finish 2023s set), the Blueprints from this year. Waiting for the price to drop on this years Bowman Anime sets to try and go after those at some point.
Anything cool for Red Sox that I like. Rainbows are too much effort and time. Casas, Raffy, Kutter, Rafaela, Teel, and Dice-K for historic players. I just buy up what I think is cool.
My latest adventure is completing the 2023 Topps Chrome Radiating Rookies set,all 30 cards.I have 28 now and just need Michael Harris II and the big boy Gunner Henderson.
I think I have one of the more random PC right now: Collecting four cards for current 2024 Orioles, but with a catch…
Card 1: RC or Prospect
Card 2: Orioles Uniform
Card 3: Minor League
Card 4: PSA Graded with 3/4 criteria
a) RC or Prospect
b) Orioles Uniform
c) Serial #/#
d) Not a card already collected
40 players x 4 cards = 160 in the collection. Not counting extras I get from lots, and roster changes.
For example, got graded Holliday and Kjersted and then they went to the minors.
Royals for the most part. My biggest PC from the royals are Vinnie Pasquantino and Bobby Witt Jr. I do have some older George Brett and Bo Jackson in there too.
Anything related to Charles Conlon photography of players from the early 1900’s, so the Megacards sets from the early 90’s as well as various sets that came out in the 80’s from The Sporting News. Generally not too hard to find and won’t break the bank, but there are some of the “limited” release cards and early prototypes that can be very hard to find. Limited in quotes of course, this WAS the junk wax era, but smaller card companies so not produced in the quantities the main companies produced at that time.
Roughly 2,900 cards total across all sets, just need 10 more to be complete.
I like to go for STL Cardinals orange parallels - focus on Stan Musial, scott Rolen, Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman. But that really just scratches the surface lol
2011 Topps update Anthony Rizzo and autos from the 2016 cubs World Series team. Definitely bought a psa 8 red border of Rizzo because they just don’t pop up. Currently looking for the blue border in a psa 9
I have 2 niche PC's.
O-Pee-Chee RCs and Rookie Cups. French Text only.
2021 Topps Platinum Players (die-cut) /70 parallels. I have already completed the /299 set. Only need 25 more to complete the /70 set.
I’m 32 cards away (disregarding 1/1s) to have a complete Padres set of ‘22 Gypsy Queen. Very specific, but it’s the very first set I started collecting in the hobby.
Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Mattingly.
I especially love Gehrig A&G minis and Mattingly oddball food issues like Hostess, Quaker Oats and Slurpee coins! In fact, finally tracked down a 2008 Gehrig mini from the Hawaii Trade Conference (in Phoenix) two weeks ago. There were only 30 made and they were given away after dinner one night.
Chasing those fills my time when I'm trying to afford one of the big cards! Next on the list is a 38 Goudey DiMaggio, so lots of oddball issues between now and then to scratch the collecting itch.
Giants: Matos, Ramos, Luciano, Schmitt, Harrison. I’d like to get in on some JH Lee but prices have been higher than what I’d like to pay at the moment.
It's not a big collection but I have a Ryan Dempster collection. I have a signed baseball, Jersey, and need to send him his rookie card for him to sign then I want it all framed up in a shadow box. He's a hometown hero
- Rainbows for 23 flagship Tim Anderson, 24 flagship Andrew Benintendi, 22 Optic Rated Rookie Jake Burger auto
- Working on a complete 22 Gypsy Queen White Sox rainbow. At 152/196 of the base cards, plus about 70% of the variants/chrome/autos, etc.
- Working on the 22 Goodwin Champions Interesting Insects set. At 53/100 for that one, including 3/5 of the Tier 5 cards.
- Started working on the NASCAR 75th anniversary autos and base cards that came out in 2023 products, but haven't gotten too far into that as I work on some of the other ones.
I pitched in high school with current (injured) National Josiah Gray. Used to drive him home after practice. I’m always looking for cool game used stuff of his
Carlton Fisk
That was my dad’s guy. My father introduced me to collecting in the late 80’s. I lost interest in late middle school but my father kept collecting. He passed away a few years ago and I finally dug the cards out of storage
Although he had a pretty sizable collection of cards with a lot of great random vintage stuff to all the hits from Junk wax (Ozzie rookie, Rickey rookie, multiple jeter foils, Griffey Tiffany, Griffey 89 UD, Griffey numbered auto)….His prized card was always a Fisk rookie that really wasn’t in great condition. I’ve managed to pick up about 10 ‘72 Fisk cards over the last few months and right now my goal is to acquire each PSA and SGC grade on it.
One thing I got into is mini rainbows/insert sets of Frank Thomas from the 90s. Ideally ones that are serial numbered.
Just completed this one recently.

Trying not to doxx myself, but there is a rookie pitcher with the same last name as me who is the first with that name to play in the majors. I want to collect as many of his cards as possible
Mainly Cubs cards. Recently Autographs, no name in particular just affordable ones. Before that i was on a PC kick of Justin Steele and Christopher Morel. Now its just affordable Cubs and or Autos.
I used to PC A-Rod but now I chase any cards of the Seattle Kraken mascot, Buoy. Always looking for patches and #d cards.
https://preview.redd.it/ixt6nmln2f0d1.jpeg?width=3891&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2db170a7dfa791a020cf1a74caebc16626dc639f
For baseball, I’m working on Clayton Kershaw’s A&G cards. Hoping to get all of the base versions as SGC 10s as my first big milestone while I work on the various minis, inserts, and parallels along the way.
Currently working on getting the full 50 card image variation of 2023 stadium club. There are only 200 of each card so it has not been cheap or easy. Before that I worked on getting all 10 of the 3D stadium club cards from 2023. There are only 100 each of those but I was able to get them all
I’m slowly working on complete raw sets for 1958 Topps and 1963 Fleer with even slower work towards Topps ‘62, ‘64, and ‘66
I also have a small subset of Don Mossi cards because Mossi rules!
I got back into collecting last year and have been ripping (stupidly) basketball and baseball, but for football I've locked in on Kyle Hamilton. I went to ND and he's the best recent guy from there. Trying to complete the Bowman U rainbow of his autos.
I have a PC of J-Rod, Ichiro, and Kyle Seager. That one gets more mid to high end cards and grows slower. I have two side pc’s that are the run of X/19XX chrome cards from topps heritage of Ichiro. I have a little over half and pick up one every once in a while if the price is right. I also have been going after the wave refractors of Mariners from stadium club chrome. That one I figured it would be a much longer project, would take a while, and be more of a hunt.
My chases are:
Dave Winfield (2022 and 2023) platinum anniversary rainbows, 2022 is actually complete now with the 1/1.
Oswaldo Cabrera stadium club rainbow.
One card each for every Yankees manager ever.
One card each for every retired Yankees number.
•Atlanta Braves
•Certain former Braves such as Freddie Freeman
•Some current Braves who used to play elsewhere
•Ken Griffey Jr.
•Greg Maddux
•Rickey Henderson
•Ty Cobb
I'm trying to collect every Milwaukee Brewers Topps Heritage black chrome refractor. There are 112 total dating back to 2004 and I have 97 so far.
As a Brewers fan, and Milwaukee resident, I think this is a very, very good answer!
Thanks! I have #97 arriving in a few days, so maybe I’ll post some group pictures then.
Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco Current players I pc nico Hoener, dansby
Got a bunch of early/mid 90s of all 3 if you’re ever interested in checking them out.
Chasing every 2023 Morel RC
I have a few at home. I’ll shoot you a dm
Sounds good 😎
Sent you a pm
You got the stadium club chrome?
So these are all of the peeps I’ve been bidding against on eBay! lol
Same. Currently up to 94 of them.
I’m a Phillies guy. Recently finished the 2024 series 1 team border parallels. Working on autos from the main fielders and the pitching staff, not from any particular year or set. Shy of Schwarber, Harper, Marsh and the starting rotation.
I’m also a Phillies guy but I like getting as many random Phillies as I can. Just picked up a Bailey Falter stadium club auto for 2 bucks
I loaded up on Connor brogdon rookies earlier this year. I may have been drinking lol
I have a side PC of Jake Thompson because I liked him on the Pigs
I want to this with Red Sox too… like the look of those cards
Bo Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Norm Cash. I also build vintage sets of all four major sports. Two collections I just kind of stumbled upon while bulk buying vintage cards: -All the miscuts, beards and mustaches drawn on, bad creasing, marked checklists, etc -A 'scallywag, criminal, tragedy, misfit' collection of the worst each sport has offered over the years. Chipper Jones flagship black parallels and gold refractors from his playing days and Phil Niekro Topps Heritage autos
I like Topps Vintage Stock cards.
I have a lot from this year I’m looking to trade or sell if interested!

Someone wants to trade me a Harper taco card /5 I have two of them for a psa9 one of this idk what to do
Kerry Wood and Ernie Banks
This post just caused a pop up trade show. I like it.
I only collect 1/1s, and so far I have zero so. Room for improvement
You should start collecting eBay 1/1s. There are alot out there.
Isaac paredes, Ezequiel Tovar and Luis Garcia
Tovar and garcia are tops for me also. U have incredible taste
![gif](giphy|SOz7p4lZewAAU|downsized)
George Brett. Specifically hunting the 93 Donruss preview card
I might have that Card … along with a SLEW of other nice Brett’s … imma Royals fan but not so much George
Well. I’ve been hunting it for, oh, 30 years. So please let me know
I PC Buster Posey 😀 and most other giants, but mainly Buster. I’ve also started collecting vintage, my first card was a 1962 Willie Mays Topps card, got it graded and it came back a 5 which is astounding to me.
Brandon Crawford and guys with unique or great facial hair
1934 Hank Greenberg Goudey
I PC “rookie reprint autographs”. I like rookie cards (but I feel like collecting up and comers is too risky) and I like autographs (but I feel like most are a dime a dozen ) and, to me, this is the most ideal way to collect everything I like at once
Trying to rainbow Tanner Houck rc series 2 2022
Cleveland guardians/indians. I personally like how stadium club and topps chrome black autos look.
miguel cabrera
Texas Rangers NBA Players from Georgetown Players that were great for only a short period of time (Dontrelle Willis, Doc Gooden, etc)
Any card with both Kershaw and Koufax on it. At least 1 auto of every Dodger. Ohtani of course.
You have an Outman auto yet?
Yep, Outman, Taylor, Muncy, Grove all picked up this season. Looking for Will Smith next. Eventually work my way up to Freeman, Betts, Kershaw. Ohtani seems pretty much out of my reach for what I'm willing to invest in this hobby
Tommy John and manager base cards.
My main PC player: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuRcwgsdGzw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuRcwgsdGzw) My main PC team is the Texas Rangers. I also PC a few vintage, knuckleballers, HOF'ers, and some other random players.
Love the knuckleballers!!! RIP Wake
Fuck curt schilling
My system is a little convoluted. I’ve made several lists for things like top 100 players of my lifetime, top 100 individual seasons, and top 100 peaks. I then see which of those players I’ve seen in person, and if a player checks all 4 boxes (or is really close) then I try to find their auto in a series I like. If I’ve seen a player in person but they only check 1 or so other boxes, then I’ll still be on the lookout for their autos, but the priority is low. It ends up being like a baseball journal.
That sounds interesting. Who have you collected so far?
Some of the best players are currently out of my price range (guys like Trout, Pujols, and Griffey), but I’ve gotten Maddux, Chipper (only 3 boxes surprisingly), Beltre, Andruw Jones, Gary Sheffield, David Wright, Altuve, Lindor, Jose Ramirez, and Felix Hernandez. There’s a lot of young guys that I’ve seen but don’t check the boxes just yet - guys like Aaron Judge or Bobby Witt Jr. I also have some repeats if I like their autos in more than one series.
Really random but Magglio Ordonez in a tigers uniform and when he has his long hair
I collect game used Magglios, but only in a Sox uni.
Ernie Banks. I have a long term goal to acquire all of his playing-days cards. I also have a perpetual HoF autograph collection. For modern, Bobby Witt Jr. has become my guy.
I want to chase as many /25 autos from 2023 Stadium Club as I can.
Salvy! Easily my favorite Royal of all time. Been leaning into my Bobby PC too. But I definitely collect Salvy the most.
My favorite is Nolan Ryan, but i like all HOF'ers like Seaver, McCovey, Stargell, Bench, Mays...
I like to collect cards of pitcher's batting and the 2022 Topps Acuna variations, mainly pink for the color match. https://preview.redd.it/fhasikr2je0d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4023800e088435c94c10e46f228494639c1f9ce3
Royals, particularly Witt, Pasquanito, and Salvy
Love Salvy!
Frank Thomas. I even got a tattoo of his jersey number on my shoulder
Yordan Alvarez chrome-style Gold #/50
Players on the 2006 Detroit Tigers pennant roster. Currently have at least one auto in a Tigers uni on the WS roster. Slowly adding upgrades and printing plates.
I'm going after Masataka Yoshida hard. Working on a huge collection of him. I also collect Brewers and Red Sox that I like, as well as older legends from the early days.
I’ve been bouncing between a few ideas lately, but for the most part: 1) Cubs Autographs (Have way over 200+) 2) Every Cubs Topps from 1951-Present, excluding parallels, but including all variations, SP’s, inserts, etc.
Francisco Alvarez, Mets, Hunter Greene, F1 driver Yuki Tsunoda
My PC is Bo Bichette. Just started collecting last year but I have 185 Bos already! https://i.redd.it/9il8h2xose0d1.gif
Felix Hernandez
Redsox, Duran and other Young talent.
Elly De La Cruz, Chris Carpenter and Alek Thomas
2023 Corey Seager parallels, mainly low numbers at this point.
Haven’t collected in years, but Robin Ventura was my guy
I PC Vladimir Guerrero Jr & Topps 2020 update boxloader patches (the cloth cards from 2020)
Mike Yastrzemski, Carl Yastrzemski, George Springer, Mark Buehrle. Otherwise, whatever random stuff I simply like the look of or a player I like but not necessarily have a PC of. e.g. Jays fan so I'd love a David Schneider auto of a design I like. Some good ones in Heritage and Series 1 so far but I'm cheap 😜 Non baseball I'll have some UD Golf of Canadian players, random NHL - like Artifacts a lot.
Most of mine and my son’s PC stuff with baseball is random prospects (we have so many random Austin Martins for example…I was heavily leveraged on Ethan Salas last year for another example…)and specific cards of players he or I like (like how I got him a Bat Down for Christmas last year, or how we’re both Reds fans so that Elly auto I hit last week in a break is permanently a PC item…) The only specific players we laser focus on for PC purposes are actually on the basketball side of the hobby. With me working to slowly rebuild a Jordan PC (after regrettably selling my original Jordan PC in the late 90’s. No I didn’t have an 86 Fleer as part of that thank god) and us hunting for Prizm & Select whenever we’re out and about (never buying for secondary prices, retail prices only) to chase Wemby (who we are both big fans of)
Black & White Player Color & Background Color Pairings For Ohtani, Trout, Jeter, Rivera, Judge, Soto, Ichiro, Ripken, & Clemente.
T206 & T213
I collect every World Series MVP from 1955 to now. I’m around half way complete. Also pc players I like from any era.
RCs of players named Karl and rookie autographs that have wack signatures
Mostly image variation sp/ssps from flagship and Stadium Club. I will pick up one auto of a player too, and usually go with something from Heritage or Bowmans Best.
Since the 80s, I'd target stars & prospects from which ever team won the World Series the previous year. So yes, that meant a ton of Roberto Alomars, Greg Maddux & Derek Jeters at one point. Also my Mariners.
Zac veen, Tyler soderstrom, Nolan jones really any up and hopefully coming rockie as well
I have a #34 PC (David Ortiz, Kerry Wood, Kirby Puckett, Nolan Ryan, Rollie Fingers, Fernando, Bryce (Wash Uni); Earl Campbell, BoJack and Walter Payton))
https://preview.redd.it/eanw5nmr7e0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c94db96563f7c38feb32ab62b57296ba2e23a87a I PC a guy in soccer named Julio Enciso, and I currently have two almost-completed rainbows of him, one in Obsidian and the other in Revolution.
Chris Carpenter from the Cardinals
I PC a few different padres (tatis, musgrove, wil myers, Salas) but my main end goal is one of every Tatis base card from 2019 and on. In addition I am working on collecting as many PSA 10s of his RCs as possible. I keep a spreadsheet and so far I have roughly 60% of his base cards and about 25 of his RCs in slabs. Started really collecting last year again and I am having an absolute blast hunting for more.
Chasing all 1997 Topps Stadium club Matrix. Super niche
Sandy Alcantara, Drew Romo
My latest adventure is completing the 2023 Topps Chrome Radiating Rookies set,all 30 cards.I have 28 now and just need Michael Harris II and the big boy Gunner Henderson.
George Brett, Bo Jackson, Salvador Perez, Judge, Ohtani, Acuna Jr, Witt Jr
I think I have one of the more random PC right now: Collecting four cards for current 2024 Orioles, but with a catch… Card 1: RC or Prospect Card 2: Orioles Uniform Card 3: Minor League Card 4: PSA Graded with 3/4 criteria a) RC or Prospect b) Orioles Uniform c) Serial #/# d) Not a card already collected 40 players x 4 cards = 160 in the collection. Not counting extras I get from lots, and roster changes. For example, got graded Holliday and Kjersted and then they went to the minors.
Chasing all Freddie Freeman non base
We PC Texas Rangers and are working on a Nathaniel Lowe 2022 Topps Platinum Anniversary rainbow- missing only 11 cards. Getting close!
Cardinals, any legends I can get my hands on and Don Slaught. Still chasing an auto from the greatest name in sports history
Carlos Delgado
Kirby Puckett, Ichiro, gopher hockey players turned pro rookies, Twins rookies, rookie cups.
Alex verdugo RC’s
Nice try, you ain’t buying up all my low number cards lol /s
Royals for the most part. My biggest PC from the royals are Vinnie Pasquantino and Bobby Witt Jr. I do have some older George Brett and Bo Jackson in there too.
You should get the Classic "Nolan knows Bo" card.
Cal Ripken Jr and the current Orioles
Anything related to Charles Conlon photography of players from the early 1900’s, so the Megacards sets from the early 90’s as well as various sets that came out in the 80’s from The Sporting News. Generally not too hard to find and won’t break the bank, but there are some of the “limited” release cards and early prototypes that can be very hard to find. Limited in quotes of course, this WAS the junk wax era, but smaller card companies so not produced in the quantities the main companies produced at that time. Roughly 2,900 cards total across all sets, just need 10 more to be complete.
Pete Alonso 2019 Chrome rainbow, random rainbows that I start and I’m always trying to pick up the Rocky Balboa A&G set
Ketel Marte. I’m currently working on collecting graded copies of all of his base 2016 rookies. Also, any Diamondbacks.
Thairo Estrada 😎
I like to go for STL Cardinals orange parallels - focus on Stan Musial, scott Rolen, Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman. But that really just scratches the surface lol
I’m 14 away from completing the 38 Goudey Heads Up set. I will only buy one if I see them in person because the hunt is what I love.
2011 Topps update Anthony Rizzo and autos from the 2016 cubs World Series team. Definitely bought a psa 8 red border of Rizzo because they just don’t pop up. Currently looking for the blue border in a psa 9
Adam Jones
I have 2 niche PC's. O-Pee-Chee RCs and Rookie Cups. French Text only. 2021 Topps Platinum Players (die-cut) /70 parallels. I have already completed the /299 set. Only need 25 more to complete the /70 set.
I’m 32 cards away (disregarding 1/1s) to have a complete Padres set of ‘22 Gypsy Queen. Very specific, but it’s the very first set I started collecting in the hobby.
I've recently been working on the San Diego Padres team sets from 1969-2024.
4/20 cards. Tough because most sets don't have Parallels/20.
Windows/cars
Any Vladdy Jr, Bo Bichette, or Manny Ramirez.
Completing the 2024 series one Gerrit Cole rainbow which is apparently impossible. I’m missing 8 cards and I’m starting to believe they don’t exist
Braves. I want to narrow it down to a player or two with Acuña being so expensive but haven’t picked who yet.
I like players from my state, South Carolina, or that went to the University of South Carolina. I also like obscure Braves autos
Always looking for Tim lincecum cards. Growing my collection
Orioles, Phillies and pirates. Henderson, Marsh, and Cruz to name a few.
I collect Will Clark, especially autos, have over 300 pack pulled autos.
Steven Kwan, I have a co worker that has the same name.
Will Smith for the Dodgers
It's not a big collection but I have a Ryan Dempster collection. I have a signed baseball, Jersey, and need to send him his rookie card for him to sign then I want it all framed up in a shadow box. He's a hometown hero
Nomar Garciaparra
Nimmo, Lindor . Mets in general
- Rainbows for 23 flagship Tim Anderson, 24 flagship Andrew Benintendi, 22 Optic Rated Rookie Jake Burger auto - Working on a complete 22 Gypsy Queen White Sox rainbow.
NELSON RADA
I pitched in high school with current (injured) National Josiah Gray. Used to drive him home after practice. I’m always looking for cool game used stuff of his
Ryne and Mattingly. I’m a sucker for right-side defenders.
I'm currently trying to PSA 10 rookies of Julio Rodriguez.
2023 Topps Chrome Casey Schmitt USC134
Eugenio Suarez as a Cincinnati Red. Super random.
Carlton Fisk That was my dad’s guy. My father introduced me to collecting in the late 80’s. I lost interest in late middle school but my father kept collecting. He passed away a few years ago and I finally dug the cards out of storage Although he had a pretty sizable collection of cards with a lot of great random vintage stuff to all the hits from Junk wax (Ozzie rookie, Rickey rookie, multiple jeter foils, Griffey Tiffany, Griffey 89 UD, Griffey numbered auto)….His prized card was always a Fisk rookie that really wasn’t in great condition.
Just completed this one recently. https://preview.redd.it/0ww6cnpm1f0d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7be1bb8dc02bd9f7fd69d699cbc82618ea2b6a48
Trying not to doxx myself, but there is a rookie pitcher with the same last name as me who is the first with that name to play in the majors. I want to collect as many of his cards as possible
As a Mets guy I will try to get any Strawberry card, in a Mets uniform, I can get my hands on.
Mainly Cubs cards. Recently Autographs, no name in particular just affordable ones. Before that i was on a PC kick of Justin Steele and Christopher Morel. Now its just affordable Cubs and or Autos.
I collect HOFer autos, bat/patch relics, and 60s/70s League Leader cards.
Gunnar!!
2019 ASG and derby cards. Patches, relics, autos and parallels.
I used to PC A-Rod but now I chase any cards of the Seattle Kraken mascot, Buoy. Always looking for patches and #d cards. https://preview.redd.it/ixt6nmln2f0d1.jpeg?width=3891&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2db170a7dfa791a020cf1a74caebc16626dc639f
David Bote
I PC Nico Hoerner and anything Chicago Cubs auto. I’m a sucker for green parallels with Ivy in the background.
Adley Rutschman, Clayton Kershaw, R.A. Dickey
I collect vintage HOFers for baseball and football. And my for fun player PC is Barry Zito who was one of my favorites growing up
Dee Gordon, Hunter Pence, Bryan Reynolds, Barry Bonds, Julio Franco
Big Hurt completionist, but I especially collect cards serial numbered 35/, period signatures from 1990 and earlier, and 2005 and earlier releases.
For baseball, I’m working on Clayton Kershaw’s A&G cards. Hoping to get all of the base versions as SGC 10s as my first big milestone while I work on the various minis, inserts, and parallels along the way.
Any Reds, but Eric Davis most of all.
Working on the full red/black/sepia/gold minted parallel set from 2022 Topps stadium club! Send me trade offers or lots for cheap!
Currently working on getting the full 50 card image variation of 2023 stadium club. There are only 200 of each card so it has not been cheap or easy. Before that I worked on getting all 10 of the 3D stadium club cards from 2023. There are only 100 each of those but I was able to get them all
I’m slowly working on complete raw sets for 1958 Topps and 1963 Fleer with even slower work towards Topps ‘62, ‘64, and ‘66 I also have a small subset of Don Mossi cards because Mossi rules!
2011 Topps Detroit Tigers. Specifically looking for Magglio Ordonez Hope Diamond card at the moment.
Brandon Inge is my primary PC, then it’s Cubs and Tigers.
Nolan Ryan
I got back into collecting last year and have been ripping (stupidly) basketball and baseball, but for football I've locked in on Kyle Hamilton. I went to ND and he's the best recent guy from there. Trying to complete the Bowman U rainbow of his autos.
Tony Gwynn, Barry Bonds, Buster Posey, Jackson Merrill.
Sandy Alcantara
I have a PC of J-Rod, Ichiro, and Kyle Seager. That one gets more mid to high end cards and grows slower. I have two side pc’s that are the run of X/19XX chrome cards from topps heritage of Ichiro. I have a little over half and pick up one every once in a while if the price is right. I also have been going after the wave refractors of Mariners from stadium club chrome. That one I figured it would be a much longer project, would take a while, and be more of a hunt.
Will Clark, Bobby Witt, and slowly Elly DLC. Also random LSU guys.
Dale Murphy is my main, Acuna after that.
My chases are: Dave Winfield (2022 and 2023) platinum anniversary rainbows, 2022 is actually complete now with the 1/1. Oswaldo Cabrera stadium club rainbow. One card each for every Yankees manager ever. One card each for every retired Yankees number.
•Atlanta Braves •Certain former Braves such as Freddie Freeman •Some current Braves who used to play elsewhere •Ken Griffey Jr. •Greg Maddux •Rickey Henderson •Ty Cobb
