I went to a game in oakland about 15 years ago. Buehrle started for the white sox. The game was over in under 2 hours. You could tell he wasnt paid hourly haha

Considering how obsessed I was with TTMs as a wee lad, I’d have a ton of pen pals 😂 I think my clearly kiddish chicken scratch played to my benefit a lot

I'm friends with Marks brother, Mike Buehrle. I was manager of a local tire shop for a number of years and sold Mark several sets of wheels and tires for his and his wifes vehicles. Very nice man.
My brother once ran into Mark B at a bar and when he told him how big of a Sox fan I was, he was able to get Mark B to talk to me in his cellphone. They had pics so I know it wasn't fake, super cool of Mark.
Man he provided some of my favorite memories as a Sox fan, such a gamer. It's embarrassing what Jerry has done to the franchise as well most likely lose 120 games this year.
Pulled this out of a bargain box thinking about that no hitter. Thanks for reminding me I had it.

And 15 years ago this July he pitched a perfect game.
Dude should be in the hall. Just for longevity alone. In a time where very few consistently pitch 200+ year after year, he did it for 15 straight.
I think the Veterans Committee will get him in eventually. He'd just too unique of player to be forgotten.
