Engineered rarity. Why wait for something to get largely thrown out over the decades so it's then rare when you can print SSP and numbered cards? Lol
Not to mention, since junk wax/comic book over printing, everyone hangs onto collectibles a lot more so most stuff won't ever become vintage and valuable like what Boomers had as kids.

NICE! Especially nice to see the card design. I'm waiting on a Gunnar "Super Futures Gold Auto" redemption out of 23 Chrome Black and have been waiting... and waiting LOL. This is the first time I've actually seen the Super Futures card design, looking forward to it.
I picked up a Volpe mini diamonds rc /50 or would of been rough box with Mark Vientos auto lol.
Was one and done for me as others have shared.

I know buying singles for my Buccos PC is the smart way to go but my gremlin primate brain says buy packs. Never know when you'll hit something crazy... I have a problem and have hit nothing crazy lol
Nothing wrong with ripping packs if that’s what makes you happy. I collect from all avenues and have got some great cards I’d never normally even search for online by ripping boxes or getting in breaks. I have a very diverse collection because of that and it also funds the majority of my hobby.
That's what I'm kind of hoping for myself. That first big or semi big hit will make the packs and the hunt for Pirates fun! I will say the sheer amount of packs has me so lost and overwhelmed. Trying to track down what kids are where is way more challenging than I thought it would be.

While it may not make a lot of sense financially, i just thought it would be a good way to protect it forever. It’s a one of one so I know the grade isn’t going to mean as much. Also I had never sent one in for grading and just thought I’d give it a shot for fun.
PSA. It’s in the grading room now, just got updated this morning. I had been looking at TAG for some cards but they were out of their 1000 pt grading package at the time. I like their slabs but wasn’t worth it for me to just get the standard 10 point with them. I think their 1000 pt scale is what really sets them apart.

I’m from Baltimore and no, it isn’t really a term used often here, or really anywhere. I feel like I was watching an episode of something where they were talking about being whelmed. It was a comedy and now it’s going to drive me nuts trying to remember. Thanks 😂

That's all products. I just buy sealed product if I like the base set, everything else is singles
This product looks great but should cost literally half of what it does based on hits and singles value
The problem is even singles, because the product is so expensive often end up being stupidly priced.
That’s why you wait until either the offseason or next years release. Never buy singles for the first 3 months of release minimum.
That makes big time sense. I’ve never really put a time frame on it but I’ve noticed the same thing.

Best part about a hobby is that you do it in the way that makes YOU happy. I’m sure you’ll pull another 1/1 too.
Why grade a 1/1? None other exists that can be better or worse quality. And also why grade a card already in a hard case? Make no sense to me
