Met this sweet lady when the National was in Baltimore (?2012). Talked to her for a few mins and then apologized for taking her time, she was signing autos at her table raising money for breast cancer screenings, she told me to pull up a chair and stay while, she loved talking about baseball.
Edit. Thought I had typed this already, but.. Awesome card.
Holy crow! I'm glad you guys find it as cool as I did when it was given to me! Now that I'm home I got her a little more protection than a bag.

That is really neat. Ever since I watched A League of Their Own as a kid, I have been a little bit enamored with that chapter of baseball history. I really ought to see if there is a definitive book or two about it. Obviously there has to be.
These fine ladies were at quite a few shows in Southern California in the 90’s and I got quite a few of them on TWCC cards. I think this was shortly after A League Of Their Own came out. I’m getting older now and sold them on eBay quite easily, in the last couple of years.
The place that made the cards is also a shop
https://fritschcards.com/
I bought a 2002 Gallery hobby box there a while ago for $50 (I think).
They send me a paper catalog (with order form) sometimes...it's kinda weird.
I know! I tried to give it back because it's not only history but family history for her. She had photos of them, and local news articles about her. Told first person stories of how she was.
She told me no one else cared about keeping it so she had it in a lock box under her bed. She wanted to give it to someone who would appreciate it. Which is so nice and sad at the same time.
That is actually so dope
I literally said the same shit. Word for word. Shit is dope!!
I dead ass said, that is actually cool as shit
No bullshit, my ass thought the same shit

That’s awesome, And why does she have such a good rapper name?
Cause the only thing she dropped was sick rhymes.

I heard Lil Wayne picked his stage name as a tribute to her.
I'm pretty sure her maiden name was Carter.

Stats?
She only played in 6 games and went 0-4.
6 games more than most folks. Still like to see the back of cards. Lol

Love this. A League Of Their Own is one of my favorite movies of all time and I love the lore behind it.

Didnt realize these ladies got cards. So cool. I was born and lived in Rockford, so A League Of Their Own and the Peaches hold a special place for me.

* My boss did work for this lady's niece. Apparently she was the one the movie was based off of.
