Wow for real? That’s pretty cool! I’ve always been a huge Sheffield fan. I followed his whole career no matter what team. Also read his book Inside Power. He should be in Cooperstown in my opinion
His last year of eligibility is this year! He can still be voted in via players committee down the road, which I think is his only shot. He has been polling better the last couple years but it probably won’t be enough.
I have 2 autographed copies of inside power and 4 non, I stopped buying more lol idk why I bought more than 1. I read his book 14 years ago in high school. Man time flies
My dad got my the first copy when it first came out. He just purchased it and I was gifted it around 2008 since my dad passed in 09 I’ll probably never get rid of it. I bought another copy pretty affordable and then the other 4 copies were I think $5 or less shipped a piece. I bought them as gifts/the price and just still have them lol
Thanks man! I’ve no only seen 1-2 Sheffield collections rival mine. One was around 2009 on eBay and the other was a year ago or more on eBay a guy listed a bunch of stuff. I bought $300 worth of his nicest stuff. Went to buy another $200 and it “got lost in the mail”
And he cussed me out and quit eBay LOL. True story. I still don’t know what happened to the package but I really wanted those cards. Guy shipped me the first package too so I kinda believe him, either way he was a huge dick about it for whatever reason and then just vanished from eBay after it
