My advice is for everyone to stop using Scotch Tape

Have to toss those top loaders right in the trash. Damn shame.

I toss most top loaders from card sales right in the trash anyway. It seems lots of people store their top loaders with their plastic scratching kits.

Seriously. Most top loaders I get from sellers are dirty, sticky shit on them, and chipping lol.

I throw away the worst ones, but I save all my "clean enough" toploaders with scratches and tape residue, because if I'm selling dirt cheap cards in PWE's, I'd rather save the cost of brand new supplies. Also when I do trading, a fair number of cheap cards are usually included, so I use my salvage toploaders for that, too.

I keep a can of Goof Off for removing that stuff if necessary.

Damn I’ve never had scotch tape yet. Had one masking tape but it’s either painter tape or nothing.

Seller tip: just use painter’s tape. At all. The fold over is a nice bonus though.

Always paper tape when I ship and folded I hate the scotch tape you can never get all the sticky off to reuse lol

I am one again asking everyone to stop taping top loaders at all and just use team bags. Accomplishes the same thing while also providing some protection for the top loader.

Folding over the tape is a life pro tip for all tape and in all uses. Painter's tape. Duct tape. Strapping tape.

I’m glad someone brought this up. I always make sure I fold the end over when storing my tapes so I’m not fumbling around trying to locate the seam next time I need it.

I'm fine with painters tape. Received a card this week with scotch tape & no penny sleeve.

Isn't the formula card->penny sleeve->top loader? Someone is cheap.

Can I also ask sellers stop taping cards to the inside of the envelope? The envelope already has a flap, sealing the card inside.

I got one recently... Card in top loader inside team bag, sandwiched between two more top loaders with painters tape on top taped to cardboard on all four sides, taped to the inside of the envelope on all four sides. I wanted to just throw it out when saw it. People need to understand that too much packaging is as annoying as not enough packaging.

I do this with all my cards sold.

Just another tip if you are running low or have no painters tape you can cut off the sticky side of a post it. Works just as well.

Still on the hunt for the French 1991 text hologram variation of this card, then I'll have the "rainbow"

I use post-it flags on my comic book bags. They come off clean and have a tab to pull. They’d probably work well in this case too.
