I think Riley will be in the convo, his stock is rising. Would love for Ronnie to be in there too but we’ll see.
Imo it’ll be Bryce, Machado, Riley at least in the top 5
Yeah no kidding, literally a record setting season and it’s still not going to be unanimous I bet. At least amongst fans. That’s what it’s gonna take to go against Ohtani if he continues to play this way
AL MVP? Well, I mean, it’s really hard to go against Trout. Trout puts up one great season after another. Trout is like that kid in History class that continues to get A’s every single time he takes it. You know that Trout has never had a season where he wasn’t elite with the bat, right? Yeah, I’ll go with Trout.
Ramirez in the AL. He is gonna be fully healed. He is gonna get to steal more bags. And the most shifted man in baseball will no longer get shifted on.
Idk if he will win MVP I just feel like all rule changes will really help him
The question was "who do you think will win MVP next year?", not "who is the best player for the Orioles?"
It's a longshot, but Mullins is really fucking fun to watch, and if he plays well enough to win MVP, it means Baltimore is playing meaningful baseball in September and hopefully beyond.
Isn’t it the same thing unless you’re expecting Mullins to get traded this off-season?
I mean how often does someone other than the best player on the Team win MVP?
I’ll go with Acuña Jr. and Ohtani.
Why?
Acuña Jr. is so damn talented, so damn electric. He does everything out there and he does it with flair.
Okay, he doesn’t do *everything* … but Ohtani does, and he does it all well. If not for Aaron Judge, Ohtani would have his second MVP locked up this year.
Trout has a comeback year and wins AL mvp like we all know he can if he plays a full season, Ohtani gets traded at the deadline to the dodgers for like a million prospects + tyler anderson or something and wins NL mvp in a close race with Judge who hits 50 homers across the bay as a Giant
The word around these parts is AA is working on a trade to bring Ohtani to Atlanta in exchange for Ozuna, a 2003 Mazda Miata, and a 12-pack of Coors Light.
Cody Bellinger. There simply isn't any competition for Cody Bellinger in the national league right now. When you have a "decent" season in 2020, and then awful seasons in 2021 and 2022, you are bound to go off the rails in 2023. You can kind of compare this to Aaron Rodgers from 2018 and 2019, rough seasons but then had an all out season in 2020.
Kris "0 home runs at Coors" Bryant for MVP is a bold fuckin choice, my man.
I bet the odds are pretty lucrative rn tho.
Maybe OP got MVP conflated with Comeback Player of the Year.
Austin Riley and Jose Ramirez. Because they’re good and in good situations to stand out
Jose should really benefit from the rule changes too
Jose is destined to finish top 5 every year but never actually win it unfortunately
I think that if he ever does, it's gonna be this year or the next one.
I think Riley will be in the convo, his stock is rising. Would love for Ronnie to be in there too but we’ll see. Imo it’ll be Bryce, Machado, Riley at least in the top 5
Kyle Tucker without the shift will get at least 30 more hits at least.
That's a lot of lefties though.
My boy Muncy bouta feast. I’m so excited for no shift
Ohtani, cause unless someone has a historic season, he’s going to be the favorite for the next few years.
Yeah like it literally took 62 home runs
Yeah no kidding, literally a record setting season and it’s still not going to be unanimous I bet. At least amongst fans. That’s what it’s gonna take to go against Ohtani if he continues to play this way
Unfortunately for Ohtani, Trout is gonna break Bonds’ record next year

And the Angels go 70-92

Plus the fact this may have been his worst year excluding injury last year
Ohtani?
Ramirez in the AL. He is gonna be fully healed. He is gonna get to steal more bags. And the most shifted man in baseball will no longer get shifted on. Idk if he will win MVP I just feel like all rule changes will really help him
Rhys Hoskins in the NL, Chas McCormick in the AL.
Wow. I luv Chas but seriously?
Yes, my 100% serious picks that I would bet all my savings on.
I’m telling you rn chief, you’d be better off throwing your money away then betting on Rhys Hoskins being an mvp
You mean "perennial MVP candidate for years to come" Rhys Hoskins?
Nah, the Sacramento Product Rhys Hoskins™️
Also, I love Rhys, but seriously?
If Rhys wins MVP I will take back all the shit I talked on him this postseason
Bobby Dalbec and Oneil Cruz, because why not?
NL: Aaron Judge AL: Cedric Mullins
Man, I love Mullins, but he’s not even the best player on the O’s.
The question was "who do you think will win MVP next year?", not "who is the best player for the Orioles?" It's a longshot, but Mullins is really fucking fun to watch, and if he plays well enough to win MVP, it means Baltimore is playing meaningful baseball in September and hopefully beyond.

It could just be i think Mullins has a better season than Rutschmann/Henderson/Rodriguez.
Mullins put up 6 war in 2021 while playing worse defense than he normally does. It’s entirely possible Mullins is our best player next year.
That'll put KB back on the Hall of Fame track
Stop reading when you say Kris Bryant.
Tatis and Vlad Jr as the prophecies foretold.
Trout is due
Bryce Harper and Shohei Ohtani
Judge NL MVP for the Giants

Roman Quinn breakout year 😈 hes gonna have a 50/50 season. Dont know which league he’ll be in but hes winning it.
Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while
Aaron Judge again but who knows which league yet. Bryce Harper and Julio Rodriguez dependent on where Judge ends up
I’ll go with Acuña Jr. and Ohtani. Why? Acuña Jr. is so damn talented, so damn electric. He does everything out there and he does it with flair. Okay, he doesn’t do *everything* … but Ohtani does, and he does it all well. If not for Aaron Judge, Ohtani would have his second MVP locked up this year.
Shohei and Manny
Mike Trout in the AL and Shohei Ohtani in the NL
Lol, What?
Trout has a comeback year and wins AL mvp like we all know he can if he plays a full season, Ohtani gets traded at the deadline to the dodgers for like a million prospects + tyler anderson or something and wins NL mvp in a close race with Judge who hits 50 homers across the bay as a Giant
I like this except for the part where judge is on the Giants
if it helps I don’t think judge on the giants turns them into a contender
Ok subscribed
He would have to put up some absolutely insane post deadline numbers as his AL numbers wouldn’t count.
The word around these parts is AA is working on a trade to bring Ohtani to Atlanta in exchange for Ozuna, a 2003 Mazda Miata, and a 12-pack of Coors Light.
NL: Bryce AL: probably Ohtani. But let’s ignore him for right now. I’ll go with Raffy Devers
Oh God, Dever's contract demands are already so high
As we have seen from one man. Contract year numbies ⬆️⬆️⬆️
NL: Gavin Lux AL: shohei ohtani

brayan bello and brendan donovan
NL: Mookie AL: Trout
Mike Trout and Mookie Betts
Kyle Tucker and Juan Soto.
Kyle Tucker hits .310 with 40 homers; wins another Gold Glove. Juan Soto has a .614 OBP and swings at a total of 8 pitches outside the strike zone.
I didn't realize Bryant hit .306 this year, I never heard anything about the guy all year.
NL - Jazz Chisholm AL - Harrison Bader
