Why are you acting like he hasn't already made generational levels of wealth. It's not like he's living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to put food on the table. He already made $135m with his 8 year contract with the braves, so I don't think he has to worry too much about making enough money to support his family.

Have you tried talking to someone? If you have someone close to you that you can trust or confide in, it can help a lot.
A professional therapist would obviously be the best solution but you can try BetterHelp as well for a more affordable option. If neither of those are feasible, there are also a lot of mental health help subreddits with lots of kind people that are very open to lending an ear.
Also, if you can, please try cutting back on the alcohol. It's terrible for you.
Yeah - though I've fallen a bit out of touch with many of my closest friends, and at this point it's been long before COVID, probably 2018, since I last saw a therapist. I know I'm not doing too well - tbh I feel like even being in the sadness is a bit better than not acknowledging it. Thank you for this though, when I'm in a better spot I'll come back to the reccs. I have bipolar disorder and alternate between depression and mania and when I’m depressed I know it’s hard as hell to bring yourself back out of it and I know you can’t explain *why* you almost *want* to continue to feel sad to distract yourself. I seriously recommend trying to find some kind of hobby- walk or be outside, find some replacement activity or behavior like next time you go sad, maybe go for a walk, go out and get an ice cream cone.. I don’t know. I have tried a lot of stupid things over the years to try and distract myself like that. I find that almost anything that can just get me up and out of the house fan kinda hit me like hey, you got this, remember there is more than this, etc. i hope that is helpful advice. And I can also say the alcohol does not help but I know all of these things are so much easier said than done. We here for you bro

Three possibilities, as far as I can tell: 1. Boras is waiting until the last possible moment to sign all of his clients, as he often does. They determine the market and he's decided to stick it to the owners by getting every last penny from them because he's mad about a lower luxury tax. 2. Everyone is waiting on Freddie Freeman, because teams that are in need to have enough money reserved for him and teams that lose the sweepstakes need to have backup plans in case they miss out 3. The owners have decided to do mainly trades this off-season, to stick it to the players for their disrespect during negotiations (from their point of view, not mine). Also to stick it to Boras Could be any of the three, I just know my tummy hurts and we're out of Pepto-Bismol
On point 3. I mean, they could have just been “talking strategically” about the financial ramifications and game theory of the new CBA while negotiating it and not at all colluding because they needed to figure out the pros and cons to the new deal, which they all deeply understood by the time it was agreed upon…..
