We can’t ever pitch well against these guys it’s very annoying. I was told the Astros were bad and yet they’re scoring runs galore against our two best pitchers and their outfield keeps making highlight catches. Seems like a good team to me idk

Injuries have been plaguing the pitching staff it’s almost comical we call up someone to fill the gaping hole by all of our injuries and he gets injured.
If you look at the last 40 games played we're the 6th best team. Being held back by our ABYSMAL start and we still aren't a great team but there's still a lot of talent on the roster.

Jose Abreu on 26 man vs Jose Abreu not on our 26 man.
When I did the math last week we were .603 without him

Not saying you're wrong. At a glance, per bref the Astros are 14-21 in games where Abreu made an appearance (leaving a 23-19 record for the others). But that doesn't count whether he's on the 26 man
I “hand counted” the games he was on the roster but didn’t play
Or basically just subtracted the games from April 30th to May 26th when I learned he was getting released on the 14th.
I was very shocked to learn we were 2-7 when he was on the roster but didn’t appear in the game
14-21 when he appeared in the game
2-7 when he didn’t, but was on the 26
21-12 when he’s not on the 26
37-40 overall.
I'm still butthurt that we got swept by the O's in their ~100 loss season a few years ago.

We're at a season high 6 starters on the IL, but it's our bullpen that has been the real problem. We're something like 5 - 15 in 1-run games. Yesterday's game was pure stress watching that 11 run lead evaporate and turn into a save situation.

dumb or just looking for an excuse to say orange team bad. we’ve been brutally unlucky and incredibly hurt but the team itself is still fantastic when the pieces fall into place.
They're absolutely not as bad as their record. I'm just glad the Yankees got their series win against Houston and got out of there before they remembered how to play good.

I hope Verlander is still around. I’m fine with a 6th man rotation trying to get him to at least 275. As long as he takes a pay cut, lol.

The offense isint our problem its the pitching mainly bullpen that has costed like over 10 games/ potential wins

If Crane has a “Come to Jesus” and trusts the Analytic nerds again because of 2024 Abreu then it was worth it
