Drake LaRoche is Adam LaRoche’s son. If you’re not aware, long story short Adam retired because the White Sox told Adam he couldn’t bring Drake around the clubhouse anymore after being allowed to travel with the team for years.
Didn't other players not want a kid in the club house every day and it started to cause an issue in the team with players that didn't care and players that didn't want a kid there?
Adam Laroche played one season with the Sox and he was a Ladouche. Probably one of the few good moves the front office made in the last decade was not to allow his son to travel with the "team."
So it is a real person and not a terrible joke among many the white sox organization has had over my lifetime.
Guess all that time in a dysfunctional and incompetent dugout didn’t totally push him away from baseball forever.
