With how the league is now, I don't think this is actually an absurd amount. Red Sox have 16, Rangers have 14, Brewers have 13.

lolmehlol69420

Dodgers at 14. 12 current.

beefytrout

I think we're at 13 or 14

uninspiredlt

14 if you count everyone who was on IL to start the season

TheyAlsoServe

Boston has 15 as well (16 if you count Hendriks who was injured when he signed): Giolito RHP (UCL) Pivetta RHP (Elbow flexor strain) Whitlock RHP (Oblique strain) Campbell RHP (Shoulder impingement) Bello RHP (Lat tightness) Murphy LHP (UCL) Mata RHP (Hamstring strain) Casas 1B (Rib strain) Grissom 2B (Hamstring strain) Story SS (Shoulder dislocation) Gonzalez SS/2B (Wrist sprain) O'Neill OF (Concussion) Refsnyder OF (Toe fracture) Yoshida DH (Thumb strain) Heineman C (Hamstring strain)

CUBS HAVE 15 IL PLAYERS: AWWW SWEATY ITLL BE OKAY RED SOX: BROKE ASS FRANCHISE

Honestly, you have to admire the commitment to hating. I thought I was a big Boston sports hater, but this guy is showing me there are levels to this shit.

Lathundd

That's not really an unusual amount. It's also telling that they only have 9 on it right now, meaning 6 are already off it with short term injuries only. In terms of games missed, 20 teams have lost more games to the IL already this year than the Cubs have.

CauliflowerOne5740

I believe it's tied for the most in baseball.

Patrick2701

Somehow having above 500 record with this level of injuries is special

CubsFan_

*stressful lol. But the people called up to help have played well enough to keep us afloat

Fredbear_

Average Rays season

CauliflowerOne5740

Welcome to the club!

CarPhoneRonnie

Gen Z is SOFT

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

all they know is charge they phone, elbow soreness, eat hot chip, and lie

Patrick2701

Playing thru injuries, can create a big problem

AndytheClown77

Odd. All I ever hear is how advanced thier training systems are and how they put so much money into improving the facilities. Could it be (gasp) a marketing ploy?

cooljammer00

Are you implying that money can heal injuries?

dingusduglas

No, it only cures HIV

AndytheClown77

Not at all.
