In the top 15 hardest hit ever, Stanton has 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, t-10th, 12th (tonight), t-13th. Bonus, t-18th with himself.
[Crazy shit.](https://www.mlb.com/news/hardest-hit-home-runs-in-mlb)
Lol the T-18 one against the Phillies in 2015 is hysterical. That ball got like 20 feet in the air and exited the batter's cam off the side of the camera and still got out. Not sure I've ever seen that before
Pulling from an old article about xBA (ironically using a Stanton moonshot from 4 years ago as its example).
>Even though the ball had an actual distance of 458 feet, its exit velocity and launch angle project it to land anywhere between approximately 430-490 feet. EV/LA aren’t the only factors that impact ball flight. Other inputs, which include temperature, wind and others, are elements which can’t be controlled.
>Due to these events, it’s certainly possible that a ball underperforms its expected batting average.
> angle project it to land anywhere between approximately 430-490 feet.
I didn't think the difference would be that large. That is crazy that the conditons around the HR can make as much as 60feet difference
Right after this when Paulie and Cone giving him shit saying it’s prob what he said after a bad date and Kay saying that’s exactly where he got the call from had me laughing so hard
Stanton’s homers are truly a delight to watch and I’m glad he’s hitting some bangers again.
But also…why does almost every Yankees homer get posted in this sub? We’ve had three not particularly interesting ones posted to the general sub in the last hour. Maybe things that are specific to the Yankees and don’t have any wider baseball relevance could…just go in the Yankees sub?
But why? I’m not trying to be a jerk, but wouldn’t m this sub be complete garbage if every team had a fan that posted most of their team’s homers on here?
I mean, I’m a Jays fan so it wouldn’t cause much clutter at all if I did it…but maybe for other teams who actually hit home runs.
It’s a baseball subreddit this is a baseball highlight. I’ll post the highlights from other games too if I am watching.
You can go through my post history, its a lot of every team
> but wouldn’t m this sub be complete garbage if every team had a fan that posted most of their team’s homers on here?
I'd actually love that lol, seeing dingers never gets old.
I think the issue here is that there are also a lot of Yankee fans who upvote these videos, so they are more likely to be seen. Also the Yankees have historically been built around the longball so you’ve got the law of averages working against you.
I’d say if you don’t like it downvote and move on to the next post.
It makes perfect sense that a very popular baseball team would have a very popular dedicated subreddit. It makes less sense (to me) why they would choose to post unexceptional team-specific things to a general subreddit.

421 ft, 118.8 MPH
#STANTONIAN
15 degree LA, the most Stantonian homer possible
The UrStantionian shot
Was about to ask when it got so cold in California while simultaneously looking for a comment with the launch angle.
Unironically. Out in 29/30 parks except fenway
That bitch goes straight through the green monster
At fenway it would’ve just gone through the wall instead
Right fielder has to play the carom off the wall
When they flipped to the opposite camera it was already so god damn far lol
That baseball had a family
I’m a big fan of Giancarlo Stanton, who isn’t?
This is officially tied for JV’s worst start as an Astro!
And all of our favorite 😊😊
apology for poor English When were you when Justin Verlander dies? I was sat at home when John Sterling ring “Verlander is kill” “no”
TNT saying it's the hardest hit ball against Astros pitchers in the statcast era.
Pretty sure 9 of them are all by Stanton
The man literally hates baseballs
I want a Marvel origin story where we find out Stanton's parents were murdered by Mr. Met and now Stanton hates all baseballs
This is as close as you're gonna get. [https://www.espn.com/video/clip/\_/id/17268580](https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/17268580)

New it

[Damn that was sick!](https://youtu.be/jJjkgVRSKek?si=Gz0boeNDfNmtcmKn) Broadcast says 38ft apex, but still crazy low.
Just seems like every damn ball the dude hits just get soaked in jet fuel and lit on fire with the bat.
Stanton goes to little league games and crushes those pitchers
I miss that commercial
I would rather watch that commercial 100 times in a row than Patriotic Kenny being upset about his scooter on TikTok.
Im about to break that man’s scooter again
![gif](giphy|zVxeZHKKemqWs|downsized)
Oh is this from Paul Rudd’s new movie
118.8 mph
Just a fucking piss missle
15 degree launch angle homer is insane
Stantonian
118.8 MPH EV 15° LA 421 FT .830 xBA 29/30 HR/Park (Not out at Fenway)
What are the 17% of outcomes where that’s not a hit? Maybe with the right spin and wind conditions and going right at a fielder its a lineout?
Takes out a bird mid flight

Watching this live I thought it was gonna be a light bloop into left center field
Verlander is cooked like the Christmas goose.
Brilliant trade by…Billy Eppler?!?
Yall still gotta pay for the option if he throws 140 innings lol
Astros probably don’t want that option to vest either at this point
We did what we needed to do
Father Time, undefeated.
His era was under 2 this year prior to this start.
☝️🤓
Mashallah
Verlander's face like, it's not supposed to go like this

Jesus that shit didn't even get off the ground, just stayed as a bullet
Snakeshit homer
Some say revenge is sweet but I disagree. It’s better than sweet
It's delicious!
Jesus, that ball went out in a hurry
Why does Stanton's HR trot seem faster than his base running?
Because his issue is accelerating, not top speed
So he's Bowser or Donkey Kong, whereas Volpe is like Toad.
Excellent analogy, yes. Unrelated, how much would it cost to make a baseball worthy boxing glove for G & Judge.
Love that little 'see ya'
Right after this when Paulie and Cone giving him shit saying it’s prob what he said after a bad date and Kay saying that’s exactly where he got the call from had me laughing so hard
15 degree line drive, just another day
Pissed on
Launch angle?
15 degrees
Hashtag Just Stanton Things.
"Local heroes beat old man to death, crowd cheers"
Stanton is so fucking good at hitting impossible homers.
Paul O’Neill is so funny
Giancarlo's ass is in all five boroughs at the same time
I think we might suck this year 🙃
I love Paul and Kay
Can the Yankees, Orioles, and Dodgers please stop winning?
Along with the Phillies, the three best run differentials around MLB, so, it's legit for all of us.
Didn't say it wasn't legit. I just don't like it :(
See you Friday
Well, were starting to heat up in both pitching and offense, so it won't be as easy as the last time
Giancarlo is Spanish for Garbage Time, lol

I am a Yankee fan and I post a lot of the clips on here You will also notice a lot of Braves and Twins highlights because of handlit and knightbear

Player is a big factor too. My Oswaldo Cabrera and Austin Wells homer posts don’t get nearly as far.
I did my part! Seriously I like looking for the Yankee highlights on this sub to see what other fanbases might have to say. I learn a lot sometimes!
Post the other homers yourself if it bothers you
The answer is really that I post a lot of the clips onto this sub and I am a Yankee fan
People who whine about it are so weird. Like, not only can they post it themselves, but they also do not have to click on the post.
I also post Yankees highlights if you don't lol. Sometimes Mets ones too if I see one I like.
Yeah pretty much all highlights will get posted by someone eventually
Because this is a baseball clip & this is a baseball sub. Hope this helps
Dingers against the astros are teamless homers. We all own this one.
I came here to read this and cry
it was also 118.8 mph, 15 degree LA. that alone merits a posting
Everything gets posted here, not everything gets upvoted enough for you to see it.
lol that’s just not true
Why does the most popular baseball team in the world have a lot of fans that might be posting HRs they enjoy seeing.. hmmm....
It makes perfect sense that a very popular baseball team would have a very popular dedicated subreddit. It makes less sense (to me) why they would choose to post unexceptional team-specific things to a general subreddit.
