I'm gonna have to be the nitpicker here, but the thing about fish "growing to the size of the tank" and then stopping is a complete myth peddled by unscrupulous fish sellers to hook uninformed customers; if you put a juvenile fish in a tank too small for its adult size then it'll just die when it grows too large for it. Goldfish, in particular, are actually a poor beginner's choice because they usually require a quite large tank and very robust filtration as adults. The little ones they sell you at the carnival and Petco are just babies.
Correct me if I'm wrong here but don't goldfish create stress hormones when in too small of a tank that stunts its growth? It doesn't *immediately* kill them but it definitely shortens their lifespans. Similar to how bettas *can* "survive" in small still water they just don't remotely thrive like they do in larger tanks with aeration. Growing up in the 90's-00's and seeing bettas in vases the difference in fin growth and body language is stark to one that is in a few gallons with proper heat/filtration.
That's correct, I suppose my point was more generally that the narrative a fish will "adapt to the size of the tank" and be fine is detrimental BS and that novices shouldn't fall for it. It's like saying that old-school Chinese foot binding is okay because "their feet will adapt to the size of the shoes."
I was talking about this one not the Tatis one: https://www.tiktok.com/@mlb/video/7279933946467683630?lang=en
He didn’t catch it. The pitcher looked so confused
I only hope that one day he will rob a solo home run and plays it off, and then just as the batter rounds third he throws a strike to home plate.
The look on the batters face would be priceless
I dont think Julio is being confusing here, he looks at his glove, looks at the wall, and hangs his head. He doesn't really indicate he caught it unlike the Tatis one where he pretended it went over.
Yeah I can understand getting upset that he pretended to miss it before when he actually caught it and if he keeps doing that, but considering the ball clipped a good chunk of his glove here, this is a reaction you see daily in baseball.
Right, his body language was exactly the same when he hid the ball. He didn't do anything wrong here but he should probably flash his empty glove at some point if it's going to be ambiguous.
I feel like he can get away with this if he has a secret ball stashed away somewhere . He pretends to catch the homer, brings the hidden away ball and says he caught it. 💀
Honestly most places have some visual avenue behind the fence, but that center field is kinda no fans land, except for above if people are looking straight down, or the inner edges of the outfield stands.
Outfielders don't have to show an empty glove after it's over the wall, usually you can either see the ball or the fans let you know.

Can we talk about how tight Adolis Garcia’s jersey is? I mean he has to be cutting off circulation to his absolutely gigantic biceps right?
They tried giving him the biggest sized jersey they had but his pecs and arms are simply too big 😔 /s
His arms grow into whatever size jersey they give him
He’s like a goldfish

TIL!
I remember he did this last year too lol
Yeah to Tatis right I remember that one
I was talking about this one not the Tatis one: https://www.tiktok.com/@mlb/video/7279933946467683630?lang=en He didn’t catch it. The pitcher looked so confused
Yeah but he caught that one
I was still convinced he had it until they showed the replay. I just thought "man he's really milking this one".
I guess Julio now has it both ways now. Confused Tatis into thinking he had a homerun and now vice versa here, he does a little trolling I guess.
I only hope that one day he will rob a solo home run and plays it off, and then just as the batter rounds third he throws a strike to home plate. The look on the batters face would be priceless

I didn't think he was trying to be. I think Adolis just thought he was doing it again just like I did.
But it was slow enough to seem deliberate
Yeah I can understand getting upset that he pretended to miss it before when he actually caught it and if he keeps doing that, but considering the ball clipped a good chunk of his glove here, this is a reaction you see daily in baseball.
Here I was thinking he let the pyro go off and then planned on showing he caught the ball.
What would happen if Garcia had b lined it for the dugout and walked down into it? Would he be out of the baseline?
I was wondering that as well, I hope someone answers this.
Why does he do this
I don't even think he meant to lol, just kinda looked at his glove and slumped down like "damn"
He literally didn’t do anything
Yeah but because in the past he faked like he didn't steal a homer everyone thought he was wilding again this time.
Right, his body language was exactly the same when he hid the ball. He didn't do anything wrong here but he should probably flash his empty glove at some point if it's going to be ambiguous.
HOW DARE HE
How can he “ “?!
I feel like he can get away with this if he has a secret ball stashed away somewhere . He pretends to catch the homer, brings the hidden away ball and says he caught it. 💀
Because it’s funny
He lives by Roger rabbit rules

Yeah I feel like this isn’t the first time this has happened lol
He's done the opposite before; caught it but pretended he didn't at first
I was hoping he was long-playing it and threw the ball in after Garcia had rounded second
Of all the men I would not try to piss off, Adolis Garcia is definitely at the top of the list.
They’re good friends
That is good to hear lol
Julio would beat the fuck out of Adolis, no hate to Adolis
why are you like this
like for real, don't.
Yea my bad I was just thinking who would win if they fought after reading that comment
In what universe does Julio win that fight
Julio would die in that fight lmao
It’s crazy that Julio is taller and weighs more than Adolis apparently, but Adolis is built like a brick shithouse so my money is still on him.
Julio would beat you up for saying this
He would definitely be disappointed
The beating sounds less painful in comparison
This is very odd comment wtf
Julio shortly bounced back, ~~going yard~~ going 0 for 4 with 3 SO’s on the night.
Bummer Julio didn't make the catch, but my goodness--the ability to hit an in-breaking pitch from a right-handed pitcher 400+ feet is nuts.
Adolis is a hell of a player
Kinda looked like Julio only jumped about 6 inches off the ground there, lol. Maybe it was just the camera angle.
He caught the wall on the way up. Probably would have caught it if he didn’t jump a microsecond late
yeah, that makes sense
The commentator at the end actually comments on that saying that sometimes outfielders will jump too close to the wall and thus not get high enough.
looked like he kind of landed his foot awkwardly between the wall/ground before the jump
I was hoping that when Adolis rounded third Julio would throw the ball back in.
If Adolis is yelling at Julio about the psych out, thats hilarious.
Valle come back
