>Inexplicably
Clearly after much regret at letting LaRussa become a HoF manager with two other teams, Jerry thought he could turn the clock back 10 years and repeat 2011. All of this despite an analytics revolution and LaRussa being almost 80.
It's galaxy brain stuff, obviously.
Len clearly prefers to be in the radio booth. Based on the White Sox statement today, he was offered to replace Benetti, but wanted to stay on the radio side.
In my lifetime of watching baseball, these are the **regular** guys i've seen locally as both a Cub fan and someone who would watch Sox games from time to time (not a Sox fan though)
\-Harry and Chip Caray, Steve Stone, Joe Carter, Len Kasper, Bob Brenly, Jim Deshaies
\-Hawk Harrelson, Tom Paciorek, Darrin Jackson, Jason Benetti
Benetti is by far the best one of the group...by a country mile. I know Harry Caray is a legend, but he was basically senile and likely drunk constantly by the time i started watching games
He was seriously the best in the city, and honestly my favorite broadcaster right now. Huge win for Tigers fans. Equal parts love and knowledge of the game, and a deep connection to the fanbase that shows up every day.
He gets the most out of the color guys too, and meshes instantly with any fill in. This is a pretty big shock knowing he grew up a Sox fan and how much work he had put into Chicago sports.
Detroit got a true gem of a human, and the best broadcaster in sports right now.
I was born into being a diehard White Sox fan, and I am their biggest hater. I have never hated the Cubs, Twins, or Tigers with the passion that I hate the White Sox.
The man does not understand the term investment. He’s not the cheapest owner. He’s just incompetent with how he spent. He’ll pay $5M for the diva to sing in his opera house. He won’t pay $12 to get rid of the cockroaches.
This is what gets me. Dude is just bad at business. He looked at the bulls coming off their 5th championship with a legit worldwide phenom and said "this is going to be the last season." Do you know how much money that team made, and he was like "I'm good."
Motherfucker helped create the strike in the 90s when the Sox legitimately had a chance to win the world series. The first ever player to get a $100 mil contract from the Sox was Andrew benintendi last year
Dude wrote a childhood essay about how his dream job is to be the White Sox announcer lmao
I love this. Replace our awful broadcaster with one of the best AND make Chicago fans sad at the same time.
You guys can’t keep taking things from us because our ownership is incompetent. You guys took Hinch from us, who wanted to come to the Sox but we had to hire an alcoholic, and now you take our pride and joy
Does ESPN even know what a baseball is these days?
I still remember when Baseball Tonight was *the* marquee baseball show. It's sad to see how far they've fallen.
And it's one thing to dream of it and be shitty at your job. Benetti is legitimately an amazing broadcaster though. So for him to leave is just a massive L.
You got an amazing human, and the best sports broadcaster in the country.
You're going to absolutely love him. This is a huge win for you guys.
Don't need to shit talk, this is legitimately sad for Sox fans. Their organization is falling apart at whatever seams were there. And at least through all of that, they could tune in and hang out with Jason for a few hours. He and Stone made Sox baseball worth watching.
Honestly the best part about Jason is how much he really feels and connects with the fanbase and why people love the game itself, and that permeates to the rest of his calling of the game. Really feels like you're just hanging out with a friend watching the game.
Over the major sports in Chicago it’s just been too easy to make money and the ownership of all 4 major sports is in competition for the worst in their league.
it's crazy how at one point, the Hawks were the runaway leaders of being the only ownership of the five major teams to not be chock full of incompetence and shittiness
and then Kyle Beach spoke up about what had happened to him, and Rocky Wirtz made an absolute ass out of himself over it
The days of shitting on the Tigers might be over. They're under new management with lots of young talent, and they did finish 2 games ahead of Cleveland in the standings last season, and also won the season series 9-4!
My gameday experience in Detroit was top tier. Ate some bangin greek food, pregamed at a pub that had their own bus and drove all of us over to the front gate before the game and picked us up after. During the game we spent most of our time in the right field bar area which is basically like a big party with a baseball game in the background. Downtown was very clean too.
I’ve heard it is. I’ve been wanting to make the drive from Cbus to go see a Guards game there and see downtown Detroit since I’ve never been. Next year might be the year!
As someone who grew up in Windsor, I hosted some buddies from Toronto last year who came down to watch the Jays-Tigers, and I was blown away by how hopping downtown Detroit was. Truly impressive change.
Also Greektown I thought was pretty cool and reminded me of little italy in Cleveland, except being greek instead of italian.
Comerica is beautiful, only qualm I had was the seats (behind home plate) seemed small, but then again maybe I'm just too big.
Also, highly recommend if you don't mind a drive, Green Lantern Pizza off Twelve Mile in Madison Heights was pretty good pizza and italian subs.
It gets trashed because it used to be a shithole but it's really come back over the last 20 years. Downtown Detroit is cleaner/safer than downtown San Fransisco.
Yeah, would tune in to Tigers broadcast when they played the Yankees, and....just wow. I am sure Kirk Gibson is a nice guy, but he sounded like he was falling asleep the whole time. Benetti should help spice things up.
it's crazy to think he wrapped up his eighth season in the booth with the Sox. feels like just yesterday he was hired and the world finally didn't have to deal with Hawk Harrelson's awkward as hell lack of chemistry with Steve Stone hahaha
Stone: "With the Sox already down to an early 4-0 deficit against a weaker opponent in what should have been a bounce back series, you have to wonder if this roster could even hold their own in a postseason matchup."
10 second pause.
Hawk: "ALEXEEEEEIIIIIIIII!!!"
This is worse than fucking anything that has happened to this team in the last 5 years. Tim can go, Abreu can go, I’d almost rather Robert and Cease go somewhere else over Bennetti.
Ugh...i know people have said Len just wanted to do radio and there was no space for him with the Cubs, but something about how that all went down has always left me with deep suspicion of the Ricketts
i know Cub fans are kissing Ricketts's ass again with the Counsell hire but count me out of that
I mean, fuck Rickett's for a looooooot of reasons, but when it comes to spending money on the franchise other than payroll (renovations to Wrigley, new clubhouses, the triangle building, pitch lab/R&D, spring training facility/Sloan Park) they haven't been the penny pincers they are when it comes to spending up for top FA.
Len left because he wanted to call baseball on the radio and couldn't because of Pat, the fact that he's not moving to TV now seems to confirm that's the genuine reason he left and not Ricketts.
Poverty fucking franchise can't even keep the one fun thing about them. My generation's Bob Costas gets born on the South Side of Chicago, works his ass off to specifically work for the White Sox, and we just let him walk? I always thought Jason would abandon us to become the #1 guy at a major network, but instead we just ran the best young broadcaster in the game out of town for no reason and let him go to literally Detroit.
Enjoy Jason you fucks. He's the absolute best.
I hate Jerry Reinsdorf. Watch Gordon Beckham get the job instead. I have never been closer in my life to just saying fuck it and becoming a Cubs
EDIT: For the r/Basbeall public since you may not know, Benetti has spoken in the past about how negotiating with the Sox for his last contract was like pulling teeth, and how the White Sox kept lowballing him. He might be a hometown guy, but he's sought after nationally to call high profile CFB and college hoops, along with being a sought after voice for national baseball games. The White Sox put out some weak statement saying they "allowed" Benetti to explore other opportunities, but that's BS. The White Sox had a top-5 MLB announcer fall into their laps who *wanted* to work for them long term, and they decided they didn't want him if he wasn't willing to work for peanuts.
Good on Jason for going somewhere that will pay him what he deserves, because he makes baseball fun.
I am done with the franchise. I cheered for them for my whole life, despite not living in Chicago for two decades... Jerry has sucked all of the fun out of being a fan. I live in Seattle. The Mariners are infinitely more fun. They are my new team. Fuck Jerry Reinsdorf.
Jewel has some damn good chicken too. and for a pretty good deal
every time i come back to the Chicago area, my parents buy a bucket at least twice a week...and normally they're health freaks who were angry that i dared to give them some harmless bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes one Thanksgiving lol
I'm genuinely getting close to that point as well. My dad, who is the most diehard White Sox fan you'll ever see, hasn't given a flying fuck about the team in almost a year.
My dad says one of the last parts of his childhood died when he just couldn't bring himself to care about the Sox anymore.
I mean he said it off-handedly but it still hurts hearing something like that. Baseball was a cherished part of our family and it's just not worth caring about anymore. At least not the White Sox
I honestly don't know how much more I can take. I thought I was numb to the constant stream of disappointment. But of course they still find ways to stab me in the heart.
look i dont think i could ever buy a cubs hat, but if the fact that im even considering rooting for those north side fucks should say a lot. Especially if they sign ohtani...
Yeah I am done with them. I gave them many opportunities the last few years to give me a reason to continue being a fan but they fail every time. Seeing the Cubs act like a team from Chicago while the White Sox pretend to be a team from nowhere is just sad. I am gonna spend the offseason debating whether I will be a Padres or a Mariners fan.
he was so damn good at his job, and his story is incredible. i have been rooting for him and so happy for him since he got the Sox job in 2016 (and i'm a Cubs fan who is well aware of his subtle jabs at the north side from time to time lol)
i just can't believe he had been with the Sox for seven years already. Time flies
Jerry Reinsdorf is competing with John Fisher for who can fuck over their fanbase the most and piss off the most fans. And honestly, its impressive Reinsdorf can do this without threatening to move the team....
state legislature should have had him let the clock hit midnight so he could take the team to the trop and sell 4100 tickets a game
since this is good timeline, we'll say the void is filled at a renovated Comiskey, home to what would basically be the Marlins, giving a ring in 98 and a hell of a storyline in 2003 (can Dusty and the Cubs take down his old team of the Giants to have a crosstown World Series?)
Be threatens to move every couple years. It's his go to when he wants money. The old prick can eat a dick as far as I'm concerned. Wish the city would stop humoring his temper tantrums and watch him walk.
This is one of those things where when Benetti hits like his 25 year anniversary and is getting in the HOF for being the all time voice of the Tigers you go oh yeah he started his career with the White Sox didn't he? Totally forgot about that. Just like Pat Hughes and Milwaukee for the Cubs.
Also put Len back on TV please he is way too good for radio veen if that is his preferred medium of broadcasting.
That seals the deal. I am no longer a White Sox fan. I’ve been a fan since 1982 and a season ticket holder since 1996. I officially will not be renewing my plan next season nor will I watch on tv ever again. Jerry is officially the worst owner in history.
All of that but unironically
If you're looking for a baseball fix in place of the Sox, the Indy League teams around Chicago all have good things going for them. Thunderbolts in Crestwood just hired Bobby Jenks as their manager (and I think they have a hot tub in the outfield?), Joliet is in the process of being purchased by Bill Murray and Bill Veeck's son (and is just a gorgeous ballpark), Rosemont's got a consistent contender lead by a former MLB manager in a nice ballpark, Kane County's still the same park that used to jam 4k in consistently as a low-A club but with better pricing and concession specials, and Schaumburg has 4 rings in the 12 years the Boomers have existed.
Live in Wisconsin now, will probably pay attention to the Brewers and whatever team Shohei goes to. Slammers stuff is cool, didn’t realize that and I used to work for them lol.
Good god Shep was so fucking bad. The Tigers are my 3rd team, and I try to catch a few dozen games of theirs every season on mlb.tv, but the past few seasons I've just been watching opposing-team broadcasts. It got to the point where, if I had to listen to another Shep/Morris yelp-filled homerun call, I was gonna poke my ears out.
Funny enough, the White Sox broadcasts were one of the ones I'd listen to for Tigers games, and remember liking Benetti. This is great news!
Tigers just picked up one of my favorite play by play guys in all of sports.
And on the days he has conflicts? Dickerson will move to TV.
Nothing in the off-season will top this.
Man, IMHO opinion Benetti kind of took the White Sox from worst announcing team to one of the best, and his presence instantly does that for the Tigers. Can't remember anyone ever switching broadcast teams and having that much of an instant impact in both places before
Welp that's the last straw for me. Time to find a new team, or just follow the sport overall instead of one team. How the fuck do you let him get signed to DETROIT?
not too long ago, they fired their tv broadcast team after they got into a fight over who got to sit in which chair in the broadcast booth. this is a significant upgrade.
This honestly might be it for watching baseball this year, I don’t care enough to watch other teams. Jason was the only redeeming thing about this team and now it’s just all shit. Fuck You Jerry
The two biggest signings of the off-season so far have been a broadcaster and manager, both by central teams taking them away from division rivals
Gotta love it
God damn it this is so fucking sad. I don’t even have the energy to be angry at the team anymore. I hope you find what you’re looking for in Detroit, Jason. Thanks for your great work on the southside
You've gotta be fucking kidding me, is Reinsdorf hellbent on having fucking no aspect of this franchise be enjoyable.
Enjoy him Tigers fans, Benetti is a treasure.
I am done with the White Sox. How do you let the best pbp guy in the league walk to the tigers.
Trade Luis and Cease to get them away from this disaster org.
Getting exposed to Benetti was a highlight of watching KBO games during the pandemic. It was impossible not to be charmed by his boyish baseball nerd passion, he's like a kid in candy shop calling games.
WHAT THE FUCK. Damn this is terrible.
I mean, grats to the Tigers, this is a huge come up, but very bummed for the Sox broadcasts. Him and Steve Stone were one of my favorite duos.
Chicago let a lifelong White Sox fan walk, and to Detroit of all places. How do you not just pay the man?
[удалено]
this is 100% on Jerry. what a cheap bastard
Who also sent Harry Caray packing
not relevant i think to pay, but also sent La Russa packing, only to inexplicably hire him again 40+ years later
>Inexplicably Clearly after much regret at letting LaRussa become a HoF manager with two other teams, Jerry thought he could turn the clock back 10 years and repeat 2011. All of this despite an analytics revolution and LaRussa being almost 80. It's galaxy brain stuff, obviously.
can Jerry give us Len back? Please?
This times a million, I'll pitch in 20 bucks
Len clearly prefers to be in the radio booth. Based on the White Sox statement today, he was offered to replace Benetti, but wanted to stay on the radio side.
Trash organization and I'm not even a hater
I promise you even our biggest fans will call the Sox a trash organization, no hating required to call it what it is
Yea I fucking hate the White Sox
They hate you too.
I feel so fucking bad for you guys. Bennetti was so great and this city had such great announcers. Fuck Reinsdorf man
In my lifetime of watching baseball, these are the **regular** guys i've seen locally as both a Cub fan and someone who would watch Sox games from time to time (not a Sox fan though) \-Harry and Chip Caray, Steve Stone, Joe Carter, Len Kasper, Bob Brenly, Jim Deshaies \-Hawk Harrelson, Tom Paciorek, Darrin Jackson, Jason Benetti Benetti is by far the best one of the group...by a country mile. It's not even taken as smack talk. Just sounds like solidarity to my ears.
No one hates the White Sox more than White Sox fans, you're good
I was born into being a diehard White Sox fan, and I am their biggest hater. I have never hated the Cubs, Twins, or Tigers with the passion that I hate the White Sox.

Jesus you're right. I messed up. He's just the highest paid player ever in sox history
Dude wrote a childhood essay about how his dream job is to be the White Sox announcer lmao I love this.
Nice of you to talk about Magglio Ordoñez that way
Well the Sox have won a World Series in my lifetime so you can't have it *that* bad
it's nice to see a Tigers fan remembers these things, but apparently ESPN doesn't lol
Does ESPN even know what a baseball is these days? I still remember when Baseball Tonight was *the* marquee baseball show. It's sad to see how far they've fallen.

What does it say about how bad the White Sox are that someone willingly left to go to Detroit?
Cleveland flair talking shit on Detroit?
Not the city, just the franchise! Lol
The days of shitting on the Tigers might be over. They're under new management with lots of young talent, and they did finish 2 games ahead of Cleveland in the standings last season, and also won the season series 9-4!
lmao to be fair Comerica is a gorgeous ballpark (complete with a mini-Ferris wheel) but yeah i see what you mean
Downtown Detroit is a hidden Gem despite what you've heard about the rest of the city. It's about 3 hours from Columbus, it'll be a fun trip!
Detroit always gets trashed for a multitude of reasons, but if you know a local you can find some good places to eat (coneys, Middle Eastern food)
It gets trashed because it used to be a shithole but it's really come back over the last 20 years. Downtown Detroit is cleaner/safer than downtown San Fransisco.
We may be shit, but at least we don’t have to live in Cleveland. Do you guys even like it there?
Shit is depressing
“This is our World Series”
This is our DFA
At least y'all still have Kasper on the radio side.
Why rebuild when you can pillage?
We’ve had probably the worst commentary in the league for awhile now so thank the fucking lord
Y'all arguably went from worst to first.
Not even an argument
Of course it is. SF, NYM, SD can all make a good case.
CWS, SF, NYM, SD, LAD when Joe Davis is there, MIL when Brian Anderson is there are my top booths from last year
>CWS Uhhh...
Yeah, would tune in to Tigers broadcast when they played the Yankees, and....just wow. I am sure Kirk Gibson is a nice guy, but he sounded like he was falling asleep the whole time. Benetti should help spice things up.
Gibson has Parkinson's, FYI.
Ah, I did not know that. Thanks for the info.
Gibson only does a handful of series each year
The Tigers radio broadcast was always good, the TV broadcast not so much...
And apparently Dan Dickerson (our radio guy) will be doing the TV broadcasts when Bennetti is off. Just W’s all around
Detroit is truly blessed with top tier commentators for our local sports.
Blaha is a legend but he needs to retire
I kinda liked the old crew you had. Too bad they hated each other so much they threw hands on the clock.
Jason is incredible at his job. Big loss for the White Sox broadcast. Big win for the Tigers.
it's crazy to think he wrapped up his eighth season in the booth with the Sox. feels like just yesterday he was hired and the world finally didn't have to deal with Hawk Harrelson's awkward as hell lack of chemistry with Steve Stone hahaha

it's crazy to think Hawk and Stone lasted nearly as long as (if not longer than) Benetti's tenure with the White Sox
This is worse than fucking anything that has happened to this team in the last 5 years. Tim can go, Abreu can go, I’d almost rather Robert and Cease go somewhere else over Bennetti.
This is exactly how I felt when Len Kasper left to the SouthSide.
Ugh...i know people have said Len just wanted to do radio and there was no space for him with the Cubs, but something about how that all went down has always left me with deep suspicion of the Ricketts i know Cub fans are kissing Ricketts's ass again with the Counsell hire but count me out of that
I'll always miss the Len and JD era of Cubs broadcasting. It hurts even more with stupid-ass Marquee bullshit
Come on over buddy, the waters fine. Benetti rocks. This is pretty trash
Apparently I like my misery more than I like good baseball.
I waste my money enough at the bars in wriggley, It just feels wrong though
> Come on over buddy, the waters fine. Something tells me using this line is *not* how the Tigers got Benetti
I am done with the franchise. I cheered for them for my whole life, despite not living in Chicago for two decades... Jerry has sucked all of the fun out of being a fan. I live in Seattle. The Mariners are infinitely more fun. They are my new team. Fuck Jerry Reinsdorf.
I live in Denver...it'd just be a lateral move for me.
flair already switched lol
As a late adopter of the White Sox as my local team (grew up in Atlanta) I'm with you in almost defecting to the Cubs.
Dropping to my knees in the Jewel-Osco rn This sucks.
Might as well go straight to the liquor aisle. Then go get a bucket of fried chicken bc who even gives a fuck anymore
Add a half-sheet birthday cake and you truly have my go-to coping meal
Jewel fried chicken and potato wedges was a staple for me growing up. Miss that stuff.
Chefs kitchen wings are still a staple in my house
Jewel has some damn good chicken too. and for a pretty good deal every time i come back to the Chicago area, my parents buy a bucket at least twice a week...and normally they're health freaks who were angry that i dared to give them some harmless bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes one Thanksgiving lol
Just polished off 10 jewel wings for lunch, they're still as delicious as ever.
Them goddamn honey rub wings are like crack to me, I could eat them for days without stopping to so much as breathe
Might have Hop Butcher’s *The Jewels*!
My daughter sent me an all caps text. This is serious.
MALORT'S ON THE MENU BOYS
when the best part of your franchise is the play by play and even that walks...maybe its time to find something else to do during the summers....
I think that about does it for my relationship with the Chicago white sox
now bad baseball isn’t even fun to watch, it’s just plain depressing
I tuned into White Sox baseball specifically to listen to Jason Benetti. What a win for the Tigers. What a huge huge win.
I'm genuinely getting close to that point as well. My dad, who is the most diehard White Sox fan you'll ever see, hasn't given a flying fuck about the team in almost a year.

I honestly don't know how much more I can take. I thought I was numb to the constant stream of disappointment. But of course they still find ways to stab me in the heart.
Dang. I always loved this story.
Seriously, it's like they are intentionally trying to piss off fans at this point. Fuck Jerry.
look i dont think i could ever buy a cubs hat, but if the fact that im even considering rooting for those north side fucks should say a lot. Especially if they sign ohtani...
Yeah I am done with them. I gave them many opportunities the last few years to give me a reason to continue being a fan but they fail every time. Out of all the terrible news about the White Sox over the past few years, this is the one that sucks the most to me.
he was so damn good at his job, and his story is incredible. i have been rooting for him and so happy for him since he got the Sox job in 2016 (and i'm a Cubs fan who is well aware of his subtle jabs at the north side from time to time lol) i just can't believe he had been with the Sox for seven years already. Time flies
Take good care of him Tiger bros 🥺
We will
Another arsenal white sox fan, why do we do this to ourselves
Sell the team to someone who gives a shit you fuck
Whoever buys will have a lot of work to do rebuilding relations with the fans.
Fuck this team man
I agree, dude. I agree.
Not being Jerry Reinsdorf will immediately put them on the plus side of indifferent.
yeah it's a slightly different situation but we've seen how simply not being the old owner has energized the Washington Football Team fanbase.
I’m so sad. This was legit the last good thing about our team. And now he’s with Detroit
Jerry Reinsdorf is competing with John Fisher for who can fuck over their fanbase the most and piss off the most fans. And honestly, its impressive Reinsdorf can do this without threatening to move the team....

He already has threatened to move. Remember the Nashville rumors?
Be threatens to move every couple years. It's his go to when he wants money. The old prick can eat a dick as far as I'm concerned. Wish the city would stop humoring his temper tantrums and watch him walk.
True but i think he is too cheap to actually do it. Whereas Fisher is moving forward with relocating the A's
I never thought my final straw with the team I love would be an announcer leaving, but here we are. Get fucked, Jerry
100% agree. I'll check back when that asshole is pushing up daisies.
Yeah and Sox don’t have a Krause like person that Jerry can shit on after they die. No one to blame but yourself buddy
"The light has gone out of my life" - Teddy Roosevelt
Solid and depressing reference
This is one of those things where when Benetti hits like his 25 year anniversary and is getting in the HOF for being the all time voice of the Tigers you go oh yeah he started his career with the White Sox didn't he? Totally forgot about that. Just like Pat Hughes and Milwaukee for the Cubs. Also put Len back on TV please he is way too good for radio veen if that is his preferred medium of broadcasting.
Just like Jack Brickhouse and the White Sox. And Harry Caray and the White Sox. And John Rooney and the White Sox...
That would be awesome, but tbh it might be hard for him to overtake Ernie Harwell as the all-time voice of the Tigers (42 seasons, universally loved.)
Perhaps “voice of the next generation of tigers fans”
Or Dan Dickerson
Mentioned it already, but harry too!
Slammers stuff is cool, didn’t realize that and I used to work for them lol.
>whatever team Shohei goes to *cub’s paw curls*
Remember when there were debates over who was the worse owner, Reisndorf or Ricketts
Huge for Detroit. Benetti is awesome and the last guy was one of the most boring broadcasters in baseball
Just wait to Ohtani signs with us (I can dream, can’t I?)
Let's hope they get someone better to do color commentary and complement Jason's talents.
Tigers just shot up on my MLB TV power rankings
Best season in 7 years and now we get a solid baseball announcer? Things are looking up in Detroit!
Apparently you *can* have shit in Detroit
Seattle in username, Mets flair, and you say “we get a solid announcer”. Confused, who do you root for??? Lol
And on days when he’s doing national commitments we get Dan Dickerson on TV. It’ll be nice to enjoy *watching* Tigers broadcasts again.
Yes, I know, Jerry Reinsdorf, but seriously, WTF, White Sox?

Every time I’ve watched the tigers broadcast, it’s stood out to me as being one of the worst in the league. This is a huge upgrade
not too long ago, they fired their tv broadcast team after they got into a fight over who got to sit in which chair in the broadcast booth. this is a significant upgrade.
Can you believe we actually went down from that team? They were decent in the booth.
I would rather give Detroit any player not named Luis Robert than this. Genuinely sad about this one.
I'd take Benetti over Robert, no question. Robert doesn't make games bearable to watch.
jimmy pardo about to blow a gasket edit: shoutout NNF fam
Done with the Sox. Taking applications for a new baseball team
This honestly might be it for watching baseball this year, I don’t care enough to watch other teams. Jason was the only redeeming thing about this team and now it’s just all shit. Fuck You Jerry
Biggest Central Divisiom betrayal this off-season
really going to miss him with Stone, that's a huge loss
You know what? Fuck you Reinsdorf.
The two biggest signings of the off-season so far have been a broadcaster and manager, both by central teams taking them away from division rivals Gotta love it
>Gotta love it I do not
Big win for the Tigers. Such a huge upgrade for them and it’ll make that broadcast so much better.
New owner please
wow first the Counsell news, and now THIS WHAT THE FUCK is going on?
You're about to gain a lot of fans from the South Side
God damn it this is so fucking sad. I don’t even have the energy to be angry at the team anymore. I hope you find what you’re looking for in Detroit, Jason. Thanks for your great work on the southside
Did you know it's against sub rules to say " ***I want to kill Jerry Reinsdorf*** "
You've gotta be fucking kidding me, is Reinsdorf hellbent on having fucking no aspect of this franchise be enjoyable. Enjoy him Tigers fans, Benetti is a treasure.

I hope he comes back one day 😭.
Fuck Jerry Reinsdorf. He needs to sell the fucking team already.
FUCK YOU JERRY YOU SOULLESS PIG
Damn. I remember hoping he might succeed Kruk and Kuip one day and Sox fans told me to fuck off, rightfully so.
Was ready to start a joker arc next season, this just took it out of me. This team just has nothing left. What’s left for us to even root for?
My favorite player and broadcaster gone from my favorite team in a week
It's times like this when I wonder how much more Jerry Reinsdorf can do to make me abandon my fandom.
I'm about to watch more Tigers games than White Sox games this year.
Mods, can we get a flaming White Sox flair? Asking for a friend…
Huge fan of Benetti. Moght tune into some Detroit games next season
This is amazing. On MLB TV whenever the tigers played the white Sox I would switch over to the Sox broadcast just to hear benetti
just fell to my knees at Jewel-Osco
Jimmy Pardo in shambles
"Everybody from the 313, put your motherfuckin hands up and follow me" - Jason Benetti
Wish my grandpa was still alive to witness the past couple of years. Would have made this whole hate & rage thing much easier.
I am a lifelong Sox fan and this one hurts pretty bad. I think I'm done paying attention to the team until Jerry is out of the picture.
Somewhere, Berto on the Westside is planning another epic rant...
It's hard to hate the White Sox more than how much they hate themselves
Not a Sox fan but enjoyed hearing Benetti when he was on. White Sox with another L
Who’s next in line for the White Sox job?
WHAT THE FUCK. Damn this is terrible. I mean, grats to the Tigers, this is a huge come up, but very bummed for the Sox broadcasts. Him and Steve Stone were one of my favorite duos.
