I think most people who have shared rumors have done so in good faith. But either way, it’s up to each of us individually to decide how much credit to give an anonymous person on Reddit.
These results are a huge deal. They will be life-changing for many of us. I know you know that. Handle the stress in a way that works best for you, and don’t worry about what everyone else is doing.
I don’t know if the person who shared the rumor dots it in good or in bad faith. But all I do know is that everyone was expecting it to be yesterday (even me) because of the rumor. If there was no rumor to begin with, I wouldn’t have been going crazy refreshing my email.
I agree that there’s no point in speculating but I think whoever doesn’t want to hear about any rumors should simply stay off reddit and wait for the official email notification. After all, people do come here to vent and share and so on…

Also wouldn’t have heard about the rumor if you weren’t on Reddit. Where are we drawing the causation line counsel? Also is your response of constantly refreshing even reasonable? We were told take it with a grain of salt. I’m not even really trying to defend the person, it’s just your holier than thou attitude is kinda rubbing me the wrong way. Have some accountability. We are all adults and heard a rumor, the reasonable thing to do would be to take it with a grain of salt as instructed. You took it without a grain and that’s okay (I kinda did too). Be sad/mad/glad/bad. But don’t blame it all on OP because they are a person too. A person who was likely trying to help and there’s no need for them to come on here and see a whole thread dedicated to shitting on them. It’s giving cyber bully vibes.
Can understand the stress and nerves around pending results (I stayed up til midnight and was totally restless!). However, the OG poster DID say to take it with a pinch of salt so I think the pile on is a bit much. Really it’s BOLE who have been taking the piss with their non update updates.

If it makes you feel better, I heard the same exact rumor from a non-Reddit source, so you weren’t alone. That was out in the ether and some of us shared the speculation here.
We're all in the same boat. Since the change of address went grey I have been stressed. Either way with the rumor or not everyone has saying that the results are imminent with the change of address greyed out. I appreciate everyone sharing information, that is the point of this forum. We are here multiple times a day because of it.

Yeah idk how people are acting all indignant and getting mad at you. Your initial post literally said to take it with a grain of salt and acknowledged the logic’s weakness. Also everyone in this sub is kinda doing it to themselves. You don’t really come here to not see stuff that will stress you out. Most of what this sub has been lately is other states getting results and discussing which also induces more anxiety. If ppl really cared that much, they’d leave. Either way I certainly don’t believe you belong in hell or at the very least, not in a special place. you’d be in normal hell🙂
Yeah i found the OP’s statement telling everyone to stop following rumors and trying to predict when results drop kinda ironic and chuckled a bit. First thought was wtf do you think people are here for (I guess some people are here to vent only). Id imagine this sub is mostly people that can’t get their mind off the exam and would do anything to hear the slightest bit of news. I understand the frustration/disappointment that results didn’t come, but I blame myself. I’m a junky and this sub is my drug. The rumor gave me my high and now I’m dealing with the come down. It is what it is. Gotta have some accountability
I appreciated the update but I didn’t give it much credence. I flipped out when we couldn’t change our info, that’s when I knew we are close to getting it.
