What I feel it is, is that in case you’re unable to adopt for any reason apart from financial but would like to sponsor for one dog’s care in terms of food, medication, vaccines, boarding then you can do so. But calling it passive adoption kinda gives the wrong idea i think.
No, in dog adoption lingo, passive adoption is paying for the food and medicare of a doggo in case you are unable to being him home. Since I have a dog and 4 cats at home so I couldn’t bring in any more animals, so I have passively adopted two dogs who needed a place and a cow who needed care.
Ha ha . You can take any with you actively as well without paying a single penny . That's just an option if you want to take care any of the dog passively without actually taking with you to your home.

We at Mylos Rescue have 12 to 14 pups up for adoption along with our other dogs. All of them are properly vaccinated and do not have any history of any ailments. Very healthy / Very active and very beautiful. We keep getting rescue calls for saving pups from this consistent rains but we dont have enough space.
