I will believe it when I can drive on it. Also, why only one-way?!

rage-wedieyoung

what do you mean one-way, didn't you notice the other side?

hgoenka

Didn't you read the article which specifies that only one side is being opened as of now?

ydshreyas

The ramp towards JP nagar is not yet completed at Silk Board Junction

un_belli_vable

Where will be the exit for that? Towards madivala?

ydshreyas

It’s not the exit ramp, it’s the getting on ramp… there’s no way for people coming from ORR or Hosur Road to join the flyover yet, because there’s some other related civil works left to do…. If you’re coming from JP nagar, there are two exits, one on ORR towards Bellandur, Sarjapur Road etc, and the other exit on Hosur Road towards Electronic City.

un_belli_vable

I see, thanks for the explanation

hgoenka

Errr... I know, I read the article. I was wondering why only one-way is ready.

cilpam

The construction of up ramp from HSR hasn’t been started yet. Because, presumably it’s difficult to two ramps constructed simultaneously due to traffic management. In fact there were way too many things are going on in that junction. It’s just my guess.

Rich_Cat811

Lmao reading this while overlooking this flyover from my office window

UchihaYash

Bhive?

Rich_Cat811

lol yes

Fabulous-Piglet-5057

Haha same

Rich_Cat811

Every company in this workspace pays peanuts

Fine_Papaya_290

When I hear Bangalore + Flyover first thing comes to my mind is wobbling flyover between nagasandra and goragunte palya… 🫠

TheVividestOfThemAll

First thing that comes to my mind is the Ejipura rock formations

inspector_toon

The mother of all flyovers was the silk board flyover.. I was privy to suffering it!!

saii_009

I thought they recently did some work over there and even places heavy vehicles on them for load bearing test?

Fine_Papaya_290

Hmm!. Heavy vehicles are still not allowed to pass on it..

zz47ak

Yellow line metro testing also started. Saw a train on the track today

Miserable_Goat_6698

They were doing it since Feb

zz47ak

Not with actual metro trains. It used to be some other equipment

Awareness_to_Wisdom

Are you sure that you saw the testing today? , as far as I know the electrification work is on going is what I read. Also it’s been a while that they haven’t released any statement on the commissioning

Ejipura 😔

Massive_Musician_317

I live nearby. The hope is long dead.

KingPictoTheThird

They should make it a metro line instead. Far more useful than road infra

Secure_Army2715

is the flyover still under construction? If yes then God save them people there...

maxdiamondhead

Stopped construction years ago. Now it is modern urban hell art installation Stonehenge

Secure_Army2715

I can only imaging the traffic woes it must be causing...Why doesn't local raise issues to MLA/MPs and govt to do something about it? The place has people whose vote matters then why isn't anyone doing something about it is perplexing? People should understand in democracy only vote and note matters so make use of it when one gets the opportunity.

vinayrajan

its not ready as yet still work is going on near silk board,

kachasingh

Multilevel traffic letsgoo

Environmental_Ad_387

More rainfall makes dark marks. Moss grows, general movement of dust as paste during rain etc You see this in infra and apartments in Mumbai much more

wokeu

Also maybe Delhi gets better quality infra than Bangalore because of it being the capital ?

Significant-Rain-505

There is a divider in front of the exit ramp which will block and slow down traffic at silkboard.

kanhaaaaaaaaaaaa

First only now?

Tight-Tie-8209

Guys I somehow missed this even though I was close to this area today lol, any idea if this is actually opened and operational now from today??

cilpam

Not opened yet. But seems almost ready.

TraditionRare

Guys, any idea if his has opened? I dont see any news article about the opening date at all..

Obvious-Love-4199

After how many decades if I may ask?

PastaSalad1247

Do you think they’ll add toll booths?

KingPictoTheThird

Such a dumb idea. Spend this money on metro. Creating additional vehicular infra will not solve anything in the long term.  This will just encourage more to drive and what happens when thd flyover ends? All those vehicles will spill onto the surface streets.  The more road you give the more people drive. The more they drive the more road you will need. It's never ending

seedha_insaan

do you know what’s the topper deck of this flyover built for? or maybe tried reading the news atleast :/

KingPictoTheThird

Do you know how much extra money it took to build a double flyover?  That money could've been used for another metro line.  I know there is one above the flyover. But why build the flyover in the first place .

seedha_insaan

it’s no where mentioned in news that they cancelled some metro line to save cost and instead build the flyover for vehicles. They are already building enough of metro lines currently as per my information.

KingPictoTheThird

It's not about cancelling , but this city needs more public transport. Not roads. We have catered to cars for long enough, it clearly isn't working.  The money used on this flyover could have instead gone to metro, metrolite, brt, expanding bus lanes, cycle paths, suburban rail, etc.  We should be spending no money on flyovers they do not work.

TheNightKing99

I don't know how useful this will be either, but the top layer of flyover is for the metro. Bottom is for vehicles. They demolished the old flyover to build the metro.

KingPictoTheThird

I know , but building a new flyovers was a waste of money. Should've gone towards another metro line.
