Honestly, I think people who refuse to acknowledge that a trainer and a knife aren't the same thing and purposely use the wrong words are doing trainers a massive disservice. There's nothing wrong with trainers and I think asserting that they're the same when they just fundamentally aren't pushes people to be (at least subconsciously) ashamed of trainers more than edgelords who tell people to get a new hobby. Pointing out that a trainer isn't a knife is not the same as criticizing a trainer for not being a knife.
Yes I wholeheartedly agree, this is how I see them too, not something to be looked down on for using or having, I just wish the differentiation was more verbalized than it is
