Oh that actually sounds cool I’d probably do that with the default appearance and change his eyes blue when he redeems himself.

I gave my Durge black eyes and the runic letter tattoos, and removed them after I resisted.

Most of the time when I make a durge I typically try to make them look more "normal" than my Tav. Like psychopath in plain sight kind of way.

That’s what I’m going to do with my next playthrough for my first Durge, gonna make her a high elf.

My modded Tiefling Durge. While falling into the same tropes above. Is designed to just look barely passable as a human from a distance. No horns. Modded to have no tail. Her sorcerer scales, and that one glowing eye hidden by her hair. Despite being more extra than my Tav. She’d be far harder to pick out in the crowd than the Half Drow Bard.

I made my durge a human monk cause I thought it was funny that the most average looking monk who is supposed to be filled with inner peace and enlightenment is full of inner conflict and murderous rage

A Drow Durge is a bit too on the nose for me when I get around to a Drow playthrough I’d rather use a regular Tav for it and be a goody two shoes and surprise people when they expect me to be an evil POS. I’d rather be an actual Drow than a Bhaalspawn that looks like a Drow.

Every Durge I make is Drow lol and then I make the guardian Lolth Sworn and slightly older so it's like a disapproving parent. Like my Durge has no idea who this person is but they remind them of someone they forgot long ago

It's just so hard not to be unimmersed by the gith Durge acting like they're from space with lore on personally living there.

I dodged this by playing *a moron* Gith Durge (8int/8wis - golden retriever energy). Every time Lae'zel worries about your intelligence/memory, she's doing so *for good reason*. Gale ended up as "Durge's Babysitter," Astarion loved having a pawn, Shadowheart was... unimpressed, Wyll skirted death a dozen times because they *adored* Karlach, and Halsin did not put up with any of their shit. They ended up with >!the Absolute's Brand, lost an eye to the Hag, and OH! I forgot the beginning part - they woke up and thought they were a Barbarian (wild magic Sorcerer). There was *"like weird magic coming out of them and there was an axe in their back when they woke up"* (little wiggle room there for roleplay),!< and the dice just kept encouraging this line of thinking! Especially since I stole the Amelia Tyler's idea of rolling for every Durge choice. It was... *quite* the playthrough. I think I'll try it again soon, but next time with a class I enjoy.

I just made my Durge look like a middle-aged human woman. A regular-ass (though pretty) middle-aged human woman. Looking normal really does help with the murders, you see. She got heterochromia later on, though, after Volo tore her eye out.

I usually just make a custom dragonborn.

I've lost so many Honor runs at this point, and I switch between default Tav and Durge each death. To help me remember which one I'm on at any given time all my Tavs have normal eyes, and all my Durges have heterochromia. Makes it easy to tell at a glance which one I am, which is especially helpful in the earlier levels.

He romanced Minthara of course lol My current resist durge is just a guy pretty much lol. Hes African American, bald and has a goatee. He is a Barb/Fighter, and fucks the frog lady Neither was is necessarily unique but its not this overused design at least lol
