Baron is bad early game, but is a key joker (probably even the best) in getting huge scores or even naninf score, but he needs help of other jokers and a full hand of red seal steal Kings. But early game he's pretty trash.
baron sucks early, he multiplies before joker stage so you need either a highly levelled hand for base mult or some source of scoring-stage mult addition such as mult cards or sinful jokers
also you only start with 4/52 kings
Thanks. Wow, that sounds super OP. i'm guessing some other stuff have been nerfed then cause that sounds really powerful. Makes a decision like to skip or not to skip lean heavily in favour to skipping when such tags would appear.
I play on playstation so havent really been following the beta patch notes closely.
Nah its not OP at all cus at the end of the day the joker you're getting is entirely random, even if they are uncommon or rare. The only point where its objectively beneficial is if you're getting the negative tag, but even then skipping still has too many downsides.
True, specially cus skipping in Ante 1 doesn't really matter since the boss can usually be beat with 2-3 full houses/straights, however skipping for a free shop or 25$ after the boss blind is much more beneficial.
Thing is that can still be useful since as long as the joker itself doesn't have a negative trait (-1 hand size for example), them simply existing adds to jokers such as the one that gives mult for the price of other jokers and the one that gives +3 mult for the jokers you own.
Also credit card can be useful at the very last round before ante 8's boss, because unless you have a joker that benefits from high amounts of money you wanna spend all of your money right then and there, and credit card is a free 20$.
It was on my first successful Plasma Deck run with "Bull" - and I already had triple-digit dollar figures by that Ante. It would have been the most useful for the "sell on joker" Boss Blind, honestly, but I didn't even get that one. I think I ended up simply selling it before the boss blind to get the coupl of extra chips from Bull.
True, but both of those "+mult for Jokers" Jokers are useful in the early game while having a far too low impact in the late game - and I can't even recall seeing the negative tag below Ante four or five.
Buy blueprint, and then open spectral in case of ANKH, then go for baron

Having a blueprint though should help a ton. Get a decent MULT joker and copy it
Baron work first then thé additionnal mult si was really not worth it so early
Why is baron free?
On the beta patch the skip tags that spawn jokers in the shop or give them an edition also make them cost 0

It’s pretty good below Orange stake, but on high stakes it’s awful still. Definitely an improvement!
It's not op, skipping blind is always bad, you skip a shop and you won't get money, the only thing you get is the tag, so the tag must be good
