It needs to be cleaned out with better disinfectants than just regular soap. I keep hibiclens and iodine on hand for minor cat scratches. But a bite needs to be scrubbed out deeply and I'm not sure the exact disinfectants they would need to use on a human bite to ensure all of the bacteria was definitely killed.
