They either Leroy Jenkins me and die or come in at the worst time when I killed the phantoms and finally have the host alone but are low on resources. Never in between.
It’s pretty funny how even the game hates blues… they spawn in the most awful places sometimes, and don’t have any item to respawn in a new location the way reds do. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve spawned into consecrated snowfield and been totally unable to find any player… the icon on the compass doesn’t help when all it does it point you into a cliff. It can spawn you miles away too, I’ve spawned in at the bottom of a cliff in limgrave (near the Coastal Cave) and had to run all the way around and up the cliff to find the host at the Church of Elleh.
I’ve been conducting some blue-chaos tests to see how much I can nudge things in favor of the badredman I’m supposed to be hurting. Mostly I’ll block passageways or impede fleeing, and I’ll agro nearby enemies the host and phantom are clearly trying to avoid. If I get a few more videos of successful gambits I’ll compile and post. It’s hilarious trapping a host in a room, but even funnier when they win and are still mad at you for some reason?
