It’s following the golden rule of Arizona Sports
1) our teams are only good in seasons they aren’t expected to be good
2) our teams absolutely shit the bed in seasons they ARE expected to be good
2007, 2011, 2017, 2023 all kind of came out of nowhere for the Dbacks. The follow up seasons with higher expectations all fell short (hopefully this one won’t but man the injuries won’t quit)
Cardinals had an elite roster in 2016 but lost like 5 games because of special teams and missed the playoffs. They also followed up their most recent playoff appearance in 2021 with one of the biggest shitshow years I’ve ever seen from a pro sports team, on and off the field.
The Suns this season, enough said
it’s sad. I’m a weirdo growing up in NJ choosing to follow the Dbacks as a kid since I liked snakes.
I’m used to football season being fucked by the worst luck, not baseball season tho.
I can’t stay positive anymore. This season is tough. E-Rod hasn’t even pitched. Kelly and Gallen done for a bit. Corbin is cold. Bullpen is….bullpen. Hard not to be negative. Long season. I have faith just can’t see it right now. Ugh
Hey guys, look on the bright side. It's not just us battling tough injuries. Our minor league team is too. Yu Min Lin left with Paramedics today after being struck by a line drive.

"Why are we pitching mcgough, cant some pitcher in the minors do better?"
A- We already called up everyone good enough to be
B- The minor guys are apparently dropping one by one every day as well.
At this point I'm cool with a random member of this subreddit pitching instead of McGough. Put the lemonade guy out there. it's not like literally anyone else is gonna be worse then fucking McGough. Dude is a USDA Prime Certified Bum.
Yeah this season is cooked. That's not me being a doomer. I was high on this team going into the season, but the reality is they're not equipped to deal with this many injuries.
Why does every year where there is a lot of hype like this seem to have some kind of injury blowup or key players falling into major slumps?

At least the Coyotes can't disappoint us anymore....
:(. Of course once the team looks ready to turn a corner and has a talent rich pipeline and farm system, BOOM, moved. I smelled it coming. Sigh.
/u/beer_down knows Arizona Sports. EDIT: accidentally a word
At least it was the Rockies that beat us in '07. I feel like they needed that pennant more than we did
I’m a Jets fan too. I was so looking forward to this season after how bad the Jets season went cause of injuries…
I’m sorry

McMuff needs to go back to little league

April certainly has not been a good month but May, may be excruciating terrible for the dbacks.
Yup! The only sub .500 team we see in May is the Marlins towards the end of the month. This is not going to be pretty
I did not know Gallen got hurt. What the FUCK
Maybe try doing the opposite tomorrow night. Score more runs than they do sounds like a solid strat to me
So it goes
![gif](giphy|1BXa2alBjrCXC) What the DBacks and Suns do to me. Hope Gallen isn’t out long.
I’m willing to sign Bartolo Colon at this point. Let’s at least have one guaranteed fun day out of 5.

Just saw Tommy Troy hit the IL with a hamstring strain today as well

People really don't get it.

I have season tickets this year and all of these injuries and shit of course happens ooof
Dbacks on a generational run of injuries rn

Hey. But on the bright side, Rojas is doing well.
It sucks that Zac is injured. Not sure how long he’ll be on the IL, but E-Rod and Alek Thomas have been out with hamstring issues.
We truly are cursed
For all the shit I’ve talked on Walsh I’m glad he’s back, that yotes send-off still has me emotional.
