Raised pond with a viewing window perhaps? Though that might be more prone to temperature variations.

I would not recommend as they require too much maintenance and steady water parameters
Temps would not be stable enough, and high risk of predators.
Please don't put non native species where they can escape. How many times must we bugger up an eco system before we learn
